    ���This past winter we had a salesman from Direct TV named TJ knock on our door. We already had ATT cable and internet and weren't necessarily looking. ���TJ said they were doing a promotion and if we switched to Direct TV we could get the cable and internet for 80 bucks a month for both. ���I was a little hesitant because though I've never had a satellite dish I wasn't really excited about having a dish on my roof. In addition, I remember when (dated from long ago) people who had them they would go out every time it rained or snowed. I talked to TJ and he assured me that technology had changed and they have 99.7% reliability. I talked to the ATT store on Polaris Parkway and they said the same they. They said that a lot of big commercial bars use them and that my memory of dish performance was dated. ���TJ also said that as an added benefit we would speed up our internet (as a note, it did seem like our internet was a little slow). This would be accomplished because right now with my service, both the internet and TV run through the same cable line. By freeing up bandwidth (whatever that is) going with the dish would speed up our connection. ���I talked with the Polaris store about the promotion to verify the costs, but the only promotion they knew about was 80 bucks a month for Direct TV, which did not include internet. So I sent TJ a text and he assured me that with this promotion (which the stores wouldn't necessarily know about) my bill would be 80 bucks a month for both internet and dish. ���So I had a dish installed. It works fine, but my internet isn't any noticeably faster. ���I couldn't remember what to do with my old Att cable boxes and remotes, so while I was driving I called their help number. I think the guy I talked to was named Carlos. He was very friendly and professional, and he just told me to drop them off at a UPS. While I had him on the line, I asked if he could tell me what my first bill would be, and he came back with something like 115 plus taxes. I told him about what I was told that the price was supposed to be 80 plus taxes per TJ, and he said not a problem that he would take care of it and my bills would reflect 80 dollars plus taxes. ���Well I got my first bill and you can probably guess what it says, over $120 bucks. I've texted TJ twice and he has not responded. I talked to someone named Shaffon (sp?) and she essentially told me to go pound salt that there was nothing she could do aside from a credit to my account for six months. I even mentioned that I had a text that I could send to verify the price. I'm also told her that I was going to call a lawyer I'm pretty sure she laughed. ���Moral to the story...don't buy Direct TV on their promotional bs. It is just bs.

    ATT Uverse is really nice cable.  I can't complain about their cable or internet service.  My only issue is their price.  You do have to continue to monitor your bill and ensure that you are aware of when your promo expires.  This is the same with every cable company.

    He did a good job. He did what he needed to, and he took his time to make sure it was centered. He made sure I was happy. I chose them because there was a special running on it, and I needed the work done. We haven't had any problems. The price was good.

    I had Dish Network for about 2.5 years, and the service was affected by weather too much for my satisfaction. They came and moved the Dish twice for better reception - and tried to charge $99 for both visit. Each time they promised to waive the charge, but the $99 appeared on my bill after both visits. I was fortunate that both times they adjusted the charge - but it took several phone calls and took a lot of my time to resolve each incident. I am so glad to be through with this company. I put in this report that they were higher than the quoted price since I was told each time that I would not be charged, and each time I was and had to call for an adjustment. I think they should've explained at the time of installation that I would be charged for each adjustment (when I have no control over the reception) and they should have told me I would be stuck with a dish on my roof after I canceled the service. I never would have given them my business had I known their policies.

    VERY GOOD TECHNICIAN. FRANK WAS VERY COMPETENT, RESOURCEFUL AND HELPFUL. HE HAD LOTS TO DO AND LOTS TO GO OVER DURING A VERY BUSY TIME FOR ME (JUST MOVED IN) YET, HE MANAGED TO DO ALL THAT & MORE. GAVE ME REAL GOOD ADVICE, AND HELPED ME FIGURE CONFIGURATION FOR HOME THEATRE SET-UP. IF YOU HAVE A CHOICE, USE THIS COMPANY!

    Their prices are a little high. Their box isn't working correctly but I guess it's an internal problem because they're saying that they're trying to fix it.
