    Leisure Pools dis an excellent job in helping us decide on and install a 31 x 15 fiberglass swimming pool (The Carribean 31).  All members of their staff were so professional and courteous in dealing with the unusual concerns and difficulties of installing a pool in our awkward wooded site.  It was astounding to see how they brought the pool down our one lane road, through the trees between our iron fence and landed it without damaging the pool or other trees.  The enormous amount of rain that we had in June did not help matters either, yet they even worked nights to be able to finish as soon as they could.
    It gave us confidence in their sales staff when we were deciding on a pool when we could see that they were not trying tho oversell us on pieces of equipment that we may not have needed.  The pool is just perfect for our needs.  Our two dogs and a resident frog seems to have enjoyed the pool as well.
    Installing a pool, by its very nature, is a messy event and people should expect that a company may have to drive over lawns, and may damage some landscaping.   It cannot be avoided.  Some people expect too much and should be more understanding of the nature of this business.
    We would recommend Leisure Pools.   They did a terrific job in trying circumstances.

    I am writing this review to warn current and potential customers about Hastings' business practices.  After the technician opened the pool this year, he told me that I needed a new chlorinator and the multiport valve on the top of the filter needed replaced.  I told him that I was surprised that the chlorinator needed replaced since I just bought a new chlorinator at the beginning of last season, and the original chlorinator lasted 9 years.  The new chlorinator was working fine at the end of last season when Hastings closed the pool.  The technician said he didn't know what to tell me, but he would get me an estimate for the new chlorinator and valve.  This conversation occurred on 5/19/15.  
    The technician came out again a couple of days later to vaccuum the pool and balance the chemicals, and I told him that, after further thought, I believe that Hastings should be responsible for the chlorinator.  He said that he agreed that the chlorinator was broken due to improper closing and that Hastings would cover the cost of reoplacement.  I asked how much the new valve would cost, and he said that he didn't know; it was up to the home office to provide me the quote.  
    As of 5/28/2015, we still did not have a chlorinator and had not received a quote for the valve.  We called the office and they emailed us a quote for the new valve; they also promised to install the chlorinator that day.  The estimate for the valve replacement was $634!  I could not believe my eyes.  They wanted $190 for the multiport valve and $180 for a 1.5 inch ball valve for the backwash line (where one did not already exist) and over $200 for labor!  I ordered the Hayward multiport valve on for $73 including 2-day shipping!  Anybody can buy a 1.5 inch ball valve at Home Depot or Lowe's for about $15!  I am not a professional plumber, but I do have some plumbing experience.  I can install these parts myself in less than an hour.
    When I got home around 5 PM, the work had not been completed.  I contacted the office to tell them that their estimate was ridiculous, so much so, that I was offended.  I also told them that the chlorinator had not been replaced, and they assured me that the technician was on his way.  He arrived and installed the new chlorinator. 
    All companies deserve to make a fair profit for honest work, but this company is taking advantage of its customers.  Buyer beware!!

    This is a one man show. Had an appointment and requested any time before 4. At 5 I called and cancelled appointment. At 8 Brandon calls and said he was around back and cleaning hot tub. So I left in middle of my dinner plans to meet him. He ranted on forever but after a couple hours I had bought new cover, ozonator, chemicals and filter. He installed ozonator by splicing wires from the old one. I found out later that this is below code and electrical hazard. The cover took 3 months to receive and he never delivered filter or refunded my $75. Do not use.

    Matt is awesome! We are 2 NYC natives that just moved into a house with a beautiful in-ground pool. Needless to say, we had NO idea how to take care of a pool or what do to for winter. Matt was wonderful, he walked me though everything and gave me a lot of different options. He was great at explaining each one and the pros and cons.  We went with the best option he recommended to keep our Great Danes from possibly falling into the pool!  He did a great job! It looks wonderful and it was actually less then the original quote. Come Spring when we have to re-open the pool he will open it back up and walk us though how to maintain it. I feel so much better about being a new pool owner with Matt on our side! He'll be the only one allowed to touch that pool! :-)

    We were very impressed with their product and professionalism when we moved to Columbus in 1995 and didn't want to not have a pool. They did an excellent job of working the pool into a minimal lot area. Construction of the pool went flawlessly. Five years later, when we had to move because of family member's arthritis, we called no one else. Again - they did a great job working a pool into a constrained lot. Excellent workmanship!

    I believe they sell the best vinyl pool package in the area. I wouldn't call anyone else. They have always been great about providing ideas about solving problems that come up with chemistry and equipment. They have provided a lot of guidance about how to solve equipment problems. We just had a liner replacement on the second pool - again, excellent job. Very professional.

    They are a great group of folks. All that said, they can be cynical and will banter with you on a personal level which we enjoy, but some might not find that endearing. At times, I've felt that was a little condescending, which isn't welcome when you have a problem you don't understand, but that hasn't been a problem when I've pointed it out. BUT - they will work with you to solve your problem and the folks at Clearwater have forgotten FAR more about pools than most of the other folks in stores and construction ever knew in the first place.

    I said B for punctuality, but they are busy and are in a business dependent on the weather. That considered, it's fine.

    The initial conversation with the owner of the business were very difficult.  He was unwilling to negotiate price and/or provide options to bring the excessive charges down.  There were numerous trip charges and billings in 30 minutes increments when the actual time was much less. I spent 30 minutes on the phone with him and finally provided a solution to decrease the cost.  Unhappily he agreed, we negotiated a price and the time for service was established. 
    On the flip side, the worker who was contracted to perform the job was extremely thorough, professional and did a great job.

    Came out and gave us a bid for a pool liner, we gave him a down payment of $1500, they got the liner brought it out but never returned to install it.  They would not return phone calls approximately 9 days worth of messages.  We then installed it ourselves with help of friends on the weekend of  June 1.  He attempted to file a small claims case against us but that was dismissed on October  11, 2013 as he had no grounds for suit.  We have used him for years for products and we even purchased a new pool sweeper from him, we are unsure what happened to the company but we have  since found a new company to use.

    Todd the owner is a pleasure to work with. He is professional and knows what he is doing. I hired him several years ago after I was forced to hire an attorney and threaten litigation against an other and quot;Aand quot; rated Angies list pool company. Todd was able to step in and complete the jobs that were abandoned by the other contractor. Recently after the July storm my pool new pool heater stopped working. I was worried because it was installed by the previous contractor and I didn't know who else would service it. Todd stepped in and let me know that he was a qualified technician for that brand. After needing to order several parts, he was able to get it back in operation.
    I would highly recommend Todd and Surfside Pools for any of your maintaince needs.

    It went well. The company had to come out multiple times for a few related problems. They were able to repair the tub in a very cost effective manner. They did not charge us for multiple service calls. They are very professional and informative. They taught us a few new tips on how to care for our hot tub.
