    Fankhauser, Dr. Richard A.
Dr. F performed ganglion cyst surgery on my R index finger 10 years ago so I trusted him to do a good job on my left finger ganglion cyst. Instead, he made a radically different incision ("Zorro" cut, as described by a nurse), which severed the tendon (creating a "Mallet" finger), damaging the nerves (causing continuous discomfort and frequent pain), and limiting the flexibility and mobility of the finger and hand. I inquired of him why he chose such an incision, and he said he always did it that way. I have the proof that is not true on my right index finger. He also asserted that I must have torn the tendon (??) after the surgery, although all I did was suffer excruciating pain after the surgery. I had to ask him to get physical therapy (I had been out of country and needed to see a surgeon when my finger was causing terrible pain in November, months since the surgery. That top finger surgeon asked me why that surgery was done. When I told him, ganglion cyst removal, he persisted, why was THIS particular surgery done. He then recommended that I begin PT asap, and said it would never be straight again.) I spent months in PT and finally the new surgeon I had consulted to try to repair the damage from the first surgery said to stop wearing the splint, as it was not going to "scar in place. This surgeon also did not recommend repair surgery, as he gave limited chances of success. Upshot: I am no longer able to play the piano properly, use my left hand fully in any number of daily activities that I formerly enjoyed. Do Not Trust him to "First do no harm." I suffer daily discomfort, if not outright pain, limited mobility, restricted use, and deformity.

    Osborn, Dr. Kenneth J.
I have always liked Dr. Osborn. I have tried other chiropractors with horrible results. Adjustments that were too frequent, forceful, and lack of treatment planning often left me injured and in rough shape. When I came back to the area I immediately went to Dr. Osborn. He is working closely with me and I am grateful for his care and knowledge. He knows how to heal the body first so he can do his work and get me back in line. He is such a kind soul and makes you feel so relaxed when you are there. He also knows many different ways to treat the body so he will find a way to be effective without causing the body undue stress. He is not in network with my insurance and I am a private pay patient. His rates are incredibly reasonable and my appointments are not rushed and are worth every penny. He leaves no stone unturned and has so much patience with all my questions. I always look forward to my next appointment.

It went great. I'm 10 days post-op with little to no pain when staying within my limitations. According to my PT my range of motion is great, we are limited by time for the biceps tendon to heal before working on any strength or resistance. Dr. Comisar takes the time to throughly explain things and answer any questions. I'm extremely happy with the treatment I have received.

I have dupuytren's contractures on both hands.  Dr. Van Steyn performed an needle aponeurotomy on my right hand to release a contraction.  Dr. Van Steyn saw me on time and performed the procedure almost painlessly.  After the procedure the hand therapy department made a splint for me.  I've been back to the therapy department several times for adjustments to the splint.  It has be quick and easy to schedule appointments in every case.

On the initial visit I did have a longer than usual wait to be seen, however after I was taken back the flow was better. Dr. Joel Politi was very professional and took time to explain other options. I chose the total knee replacement. He gave me a book on the procedure and his PA Jen explained the hosipital stay and the recovery process after. Dr. Politi was at the surgery center and spoke with me before surgery. He always asked if I had any questions, and always answered in a manner I could understand. His bedside manner is excellant and he always explained what he did. His assistant Jen was also available for any questions. She returned calls promptly and answered all my concerns. I would not hesitate to return if I need the other knee done. Dr. Politi was recommended to me and I would highly recommend him to anyone. When Dr. Politi talks to you he looks you in the eye. I found this very refreshing.

I am 4 months into my 12 month recovery and everything seems to be going well. It is up to the individual to follow the instructions of the Dr and PT.
