    OrthoNeuro - Westerville
It went great. I'm 10 days post-op with little to no pain when staying within my limitations. According to my PT my range of motion is great, we are limited by time for the biceps tendon to heal before working on any strength or resistance. Dr. Comisar takes the time to throughly explain things and answer any questions. I'm extremely happy with the treatment I have received.

Dr Kerr was excellent in providing information during the initial consultation and during the pre-op and post-op period.  Surgery was performed at St Ann's Hospital and each time the procedure was quick and effective.  Pain control was excellent in the post op period and I needed nothing stronger than ibuprophen both times.  Surgical incisions were clean and are fading quickly as the healing progresses.  VERY pleased with Dr Kerr's surgical skill and clear communication throughout.

Tendon replacement surgery April 15 took an hour as an outpatient. 4 weeks later my cast was replaced with a walking cast I expect to graduate to a boot in a few days. I dreaded this surgery but this team made it somewhat bearable.

I saw Dr. Swan for tingling in my feet that had been going on for several months. She gave me an rx for B12 (without testing my levels- as tested later by another doctor, they were fine), night splints and orthotics. The orthotics were from the shop next door where you walk on a pad and they make them based on that.
None of these recommendations solved the problem. I was diagnosed with uneven hips which was causing other muscles to try and compensate. I have been in physical therapy with good results. I also have and quot;realand quot; orthotics that have worked well to keep my ankles from shifting inward. I felt that Dr. Swan just guessed at what was wrong and didn't really spend the time putting the symptoms together to get a correct diagnosis.

    Mehl, Dr. Bradley M
Dr Mehl is very good at explaining the procedure, and recovery period. He was always very patient in answering my questions. On the day of surgery he was great, went as planned and told me to call him with any problems. My husband actually had to call (on a weekend) due to a reaction to a prescription and Dr Mehl answered not an answering service provided the answers we needed and told me not to hesitate to call again if we had questions. The recover time was exactly what he said and I am on the road to recover with Physical Therapy.
I would not hesitate to recommend Dr Mehl to anyone! He is always up to date on the latest information and is very knowledgeable and will pass that education on to his patients, which I appreciated very much.

    Roof, Dr. Rodney W.
Dr. Roof is such a wonderful health care provider that I continue to see him?despite having moved to another city!  He is always prompt, helpful, informative, understanding, and accommodating.  He explains how something happens, why it may have happened, gives multiple options for treatment, explains the impact/advantages/disadvantages such a course of action is likely to have.  I fractured my sesamoid bones in my big left and big right toes some years back.  At that time, we decided against surgery which was painful, expensive, would keep me from work for several weeks/month.  We tried a cortisone shot for the pain, which seemed to work beautifully in my left foot.  My right foot was another story.  After nearly 5 years of pain, I noticed that I had begun walking on the sides of my feet to avoid putting pressure on my broken sesamoid bone.  My back, hip, and the rest of my foot began hurting.  While I could have gone forever without surgery, Dr. Roof said that the point at which walking becomes unworkable, the situation would be unacceptable for him.  I realized he was right and scheduled surgery, which happened yesterday. Dr. Roof and his staff were helpful, friendly, and available right up to the surgery.  I needed multiple forms filled out for my medical leave of absence from work, as well as prescriptions and other paperwork faxed/emailed to me in Columbus, Ohio.  The surgery went beautifully, an--in addition with leaving me his personal cell number and welcoming me to call at any time with any questions--Dr. Roof called me last night to check on me, answer questions and give an operative report.  I hurt like the Dickens right now, but I know exactly what my body is doing, how long it will take to mend, what steps I can do to further my recovery, and that, come spring, I will be walking beautifully and painlessly for the first time in years.  I am supremely grateful to Dr. Roof and would highly recommend him to any and everyone.

    Orthopedic ONE - Gahanna/Reynoldsburg
I showed up to my appt. 10 minutes early, but was not actually seen until 25 minutes after my appt. was scheduled.  Even after I was seen by Dr. Quinn, I was not impressed.  He didn't seem to listen to me and what my symptoms were.  He was going with what was the routine or "typical" way of treating my injury even though my symptoms did not match what he was suggesting.   I already had xrays done (2 months ago) but he insisted on doing more even though I argued with him that nothing has changed!  Then he tried to promote  a wrist brace and various meds. I told him I didn't want a band-aid to pathc the symptoms rather a solution to get rid of them permanently!   All I really wanted was to get an answer and solution to why I have severe pain, tingling, weakness, and numbness in my wrist.  After nearly 3 hours I left knowing nothing more than I did before!  Now he suggests I get a nerve test and then after that maybe an MRI.  Very frustrating.  I am not sure if that is his process or that insurance (which mine has never been an issue in the past) is demanding such a conservative process.  My regular doctor told me I would need surgery to fix my problem, but if I go with what this guy says that will be multiple appts. and tests down the road. That appt. was a waste of time and money!

I trust Dr. Kennedy and he's been treating me for arthritis for several years. He's detailed, caring, and willing to listen and explain options. I highly recommend him.
    Very nice new facilities, too!

    Rohl, Dr. Donald J.
They were prompt and they made sure I knew what they were doing, and why they were doing it. They took the right amount of tests that needed to be done for the surgery that I would be having. They were honest about the recovery process that I would need after the surgery. The staff took care of everything for me as far as appointments after the surgery and even the appointments with my regular doctor. When I was getting references I asked my doctors and my friends, and this is the name that kept coming up. I feel that everything people told me about this practice is true.

They are a very knowledgeable practice. They are conveniently located. It is very comprehensive in the services offered. They communicate well. The office environment is nice. The office staff was friendly, and I would use them again in the future.
