  • Trying to resolve a billing question. The phone system is a mess and when you finally click on the right one you get an answering machine. Left a message but don't get call backs. Decided it might be easier to send email via website, 2 days now no response. My last resort is to actually go to their location and see a person(if I can) Not very customer friendly!

  • Choices for approved Medicare DME suppliers are limited in the Columbus, OH area. Luckily, a Dasco branch office is very near my home. Care providers are very familiar with the equipment and easy to work with. However, it seems that the local branch manager/supervisor is not effectively impowered to make customer service decisions outside of strict "published rules/guidelines" by Corporate management. Through some discussion, we worked out our issues and differences. Overall, our experience with Dasco has been very positive. Their corporate customer service department is outstanding. Easy to contact either via email or phone, and the response time is great. They also make pro-active calls when it is time for supply replacement....a real customer care plus!

  • After an Occupational Therapist worked with us to recommend several pieces of assistance equipment for my sister, the order was submitted to CME by my sister's FCDD Case Manager in mid July 2012. In August, when we were getting ready to go on a vacation and wanted the shower chair for our trip, I called to get a status on our order and was told they did not have it. They DID have it and only after going back and forth between her case manager and CME and LITERALLY crying on the phone in frustration, CME pulled some strings and got the shower chair delivered in time for our trip. However, to date, January 18, 2013, we have not received the remaining items and after leaving a voicemail for Valerie two weeks ago I have yet to hear back from them.
    Prior to this interaction, earlier in 2012, we had ordered a new wheelchair from CME after attending a Wheelchair clinic with a Phys Med doc and Mike from CME to determine her needs. After a few weeks with no status, and after playing phone tag with Mike, he finally reported that Medicaid/Medicare (whichever, I can never remember) rejected our request. He said he wasn't sure we would still want it. But, he had never called to give us this update or to ask us! Turns out the chair was affordable and we paid for it ourselves. In addition, the chair is a piece of crap. I don't expect it to last more than 2 years.
    Here's the problem. I believe that CME gets paid by the State well before they deliver anything to the clients. Therefore, they have no motivation to deliver! Now there's a business model for success! Take the money and never deliver!
