    Dry Effect
FABULOSO . WONDERFUL. NO DRAMA .GRATEFUL. Once on the schedule I had to reschedule the job twice due to family medical emergency. Tim Warner couldn't have been more understanding. As the process progressed Tim explained exactly what would happen. He was very truthful with his statements. A crew came in to demo the basement. They removed all the paneling , ceiling and two by fours on the cement walls. This demolition was done rapidly. The DryEffect crew made sure there was no debris left in my home. They also disposed of the material . The next phase was where the basement was washed with a solution to get rid of the mold. Again Tim thoroughly explained what was going to happen and the smells that may occur. Tim was true to his word again ,the basment was washed and ready for the encapsulated solution. The basement had to dry thoroughly , that took awhile. DryEffect finished with encapsulating the basement. The crew worked efficiently and left no mess or evidence that they had been there. Tim and i met once the job was done. He took me through the basement and explained everything that was done. I was waiting for the sales pitch that a lot of companies do to try and get more money out of you. That never happened. Tim was honest and direct. The cost of the project was what the estimate stated. I wish all businesses had the same ethics as Tim Warner and DryEffect. I will forever recommend DryEffect to anyone. I chose DryEffect because of the competitive bid and the warranty offered was better than other bids.

The project went awesome the crew was very professional, at the end of every day they went over there progress and they explained every detail of the project, they took the time to explain everything in great detail. We have a clean and safe home after Dry effect was done. Dry Effect is the best of the best. We hope to never have any issues but if we do or know anyone who does we will definitely call Dry Effect.

We chose John Black for our project because some of it involved lead-based paint, and he has special training and certification in that area. He and his team painted a two car garage (inside and out), painted the parts of our house that are painted, cleaned the stone and brick, and tuckpointed the brick. They also removed and replaced a door that required custom work because it was a non-standard size frame, and did some interior painting. It's been almost a year since the work was done, and it still looks great. (Seeing how good it looked today with the spring flowers blooming reminded me that I should write a report on Angie's List.) We like this company because they do good work for a reasonable price. They are also licensed by the city, which is important to us and is difficult to find in a company that doesn't charge an arm and a leg. They don't do some of the flashy marketing other companies do, but ultimately that saves the customers money

It was good. They knew what they were doing. As a paint job goes, it wasn't a great paint job. They didn't sand; they sprayed and encapsulated it so it was safe for me to go out and do the painting. They made it safe for the children to go out which was what I was looking for. They certified it and pulled up the rug that was attached to the concrete and they disposed of that. They disposed of everything and they followed all the regulations. They did the white test and gave me the results and documentation so we have everything if we ever sell the house. All the EPA regulations were followed. They knew what they were doing. They might have done a neater project but they did what had to be done. I had gotten other estimates and everyone was going to approach it differently. I decided in the end to take someone who specialized in this. Some of the companies didn't want to pull up the carpet and these guys were willing to do that. I felt that this was a better value but I don't know if they were less expensive. They didn’t remove it because that can cause more problems but they encapsulated it. We were pleased. It was a lot of money, but the painters also wanted a lot of money. They met our deadline even with the weather. I would definitely use them again if needed.

Mr. Allison was punctual and very professional. He was very easy to talk to and got our results to us as soon as he could. There was a backup at the lab he used so it took a bit longer than he said but that wasn't his fault. It was nice to have all 4 inspections done at once by one person. He also asked some of his attorneys he's affiliated with some questions for me. There was no charge for that. I will definitely call him again if I need another inspection.

John was fast about coming out to do the estimate and spent a lot of time answering my questions. He was hard to reach after that to confirm a date to start, though, so I almost hired someone else as a result. I had to call him to come back in several times to fix some of the work and paint sections that were missed as well as to clean paint off of my floors. I was pleased with his promptness in arriving when he said he would, and that he found some ways to reduce my cost a little. I'm confident in his cleanup procedures, but not satisfied with how many places I found they painted over peeled paint rather than scraping it all off on the windowsills, so the surface is not smooth.
