Insurance Agent reviews in Westerville

Ken provides a significant advantage in tax preparations in that he is an Enrolled Agent which confirms that Ken is current with changes in tax law, delivering prompt security in filing electronically ? all providing me confidence that my data will not be stolen. And, he is keenly aware that a number of corporations are late in getting 1099s mailed and he accounted for this, patiently holding all tax data until my filing was completed. Pat?s management and follow-up adds the necessary ?ribbon? on the final tax package and notifications.  Integrity, quality advice, valuable instruction, and sincere caring are a few of their outstanding trademarks!

They tried to bump our rates up for a weather-related claim. I had to go and fight them over that. Next time they go up, I'll probably go with someone else no matter what they do. It wasn't the agent's fault, it's corporate.

They are expensive. I know I can get cheaper insurance at least for auto elsewhere but they have been so good to me when I had to deal with them. I'm not willing to save a couple of hundred dollars in not knowing what I'm getting into.

We had problems making changes or adding to our policies  After several frustrating years we went with a new provider and they took it upon themselves to cancel our bonds we had paid for the entire year.  We were curious when we would see the refund.  After speaking with a lady in the office the president, Mike Haughn called our office and yelled at my office personal, then my husband called him and he proceeded to cuss at my husband.  I find this to be very disturbing as a business owner and would never think to treat another human, customer or not, the way he did us today.

The home insurance was paid from an escrow account.  The auto insurance premium was billed annually and we could pay it in three equal payments a month apart, with no interest or late fees.  That was a nice feature.

Aside from making payments, the only time we ever think about insurance is when we need it.  We had some minor house issues and three times had an evaluator come.  Each time the issue either wasn't covered by the insurance or wasn't needed.

The real problem was with the auto insurance.  In January 2009 I was driving slowly on the freeway because the road was slick with a thin layer of freezing rain.  Another driver lost control of his car, spun out and hit my rear wheel, which caused my car to spin and bounce off into the ditch on its side.  I thought I was going to die but suffered with only minor injuries, because I was belted in.  The car was totaled.  The other driver was insured by Safe Auto and had a legal restriction for driving to and from work only.  He wanted to leave the scene because he was afraid he'd be arrested, but he stayed by my side until help came.

Safe Auto said the driver shouldn't have been on the road and therefore the insurance was not in effect.  Erie left me to sort it out all by myself.  I had many long phone calls with Safe Auto and went to court twice.  Erie said they couldn't help because it was Safe Auto.  Finally after eight months of unbelievable hassle, the judge declared that the driver was driving lawfully and Safe Auto had to pay me for the damages.

That episode bothered me a great deal, but like any problem that's behind you, the pain is quickly forgotten.  This year when we were up of renewal, I contacted All State.  They are more expensive but the agent pledged that in cases such as UninsuredMotorist of Safe Auto, they will do the fighting for me.  "That's why you pay us for insurance."

We dropped Erie in a heartbeat because they just didn't do anything for us.

Not all AAA travel services are the same. I was surprised to
learn they are franchises. As a result the services and pricing varies between
franchises. We booked a Disney vacation at the same time as my sister-in-law.
We booked at a Columbus AAA and she booked at the Jackson Ohio AAA. We were
shocked to learn that she had been offered all kinds of free merchandise with
her Disney vacation which we initially were not offered. When the Jackson
office emailed us a copy of the specials which we showed to the Columbus office
they gave us the specials. The Jackson office booked air on Southwest at no
additional cost. The Columbus office would not book air on Southwest plus
charge a booking fee for other airlines which the Jackson office did not. We
ended up constantly comparing what we were being offered with what my
sister-in-law was being offered. In most cases, once we mentioned what the
Jackson office was offering the Columbus office gave us the same thing. But we
had to mention it first! In the future we will probably call the Jackson office
to compare offers from a Columbus office.

Medical Mutual has always been very professional and well run. They pay all claims fast and, if there are any questions, they answer them in a timely fashion. The cost of this service to us is minimal as we are part of the PERS system and the benefits are in line, if not better, than most of my friend's coverage. I would highly recommend them.

I was a USAA member for 17 years.  Auto coverage for 10 of those  years was unbeatable and other carriers couldn't compete.  After I added my home in 2005 I started to see a trend.  My home and auto rates started to climb inexplicably.  My home rate actually increased by almost 100% without a claim.  I was too enamored with their call center service (top rated call centers btw) and pro-military pitch to recognize I was paying double the rates of my neighbors.  Neighbors who actually had much larger and more expensive homes.  I gave USAA nearly 2 months to make this right but they couldn't come close to their competitors.  Instead they wanted to make excuses for the rebuild estimate which was higher than their competitors and the "hurricane coverage" for Central Ohio due to wind damage from Huricane Ike.  Yes, you heard that right.  Central Ohio is now considered a hurricane risk area by USAA.  Bear in mind, I NEVER submitted a claim but apparantly enough of you did to make USAA double my rates.
Certainly consider USAA as a new member of the military as long as their rates continue to beat competitors.  As you move up the ranks, keep a close eye on your rates and make sure they are not charging your extra to help offset the low cost for their newest clients.

I needed insurance for my small business in a hurry because I was moving to a new office space that required it of each tenant. After having no luck with the companies that provide my life, home, and auto, I checked on Angie's List and found Mitchell Insurance Agency, Inc. I completed the request a quote form on their website and quickly received a call back from an agent. He had me answer a few additional questions and we discussed the kind of policy that would fit my unique business. After the consultation, he gave me a verbal quote which was quickly followed by a firm quote from a highly regarded insurance provider. The process was very simple and customer friendly, and I got the coverage I needed for a great price.
It only took about 24 hours from the time I called until the time I was insured. I highly recommend the Mitchell Insurance Agency, Inc., and Matt Gardner.
    Thank you!

I've used State Farm probably for 25 years. They gave discounts with multiple policy. They're usually available for any emergencies. I've had one home owner's claim and maybe 1 or 2 minor car accident and he's always available. They're really easy to work with. You can pay your bills on the website. If you need a check for something, he can always issue so you can get the check right away.
