    The service technician was very efficient and very friendly. He even cleaned up the water mess after installing the disposal,and wiped out my wet containers. He had an opening sooner than originally promised, which was wonderful, and I really appreciated it! I would definitely use Gunther Plumbing again. I only had to pay my deductible of $45.

    While prepping to replace the water tank, he noticed that there was another leak above and repaired that leak as well.
    Both repairman were professional, courteous, personable and did a great job explaining what they had fixed and how to use the new equipment.

    The guy came out that they sent and tried to fix it. He could not get it fixed and said we needed a new compressor outside. He said he would turn it in to First American Home Warranty. We were unable to get hold of them or hear from them for two weeks. We sat here in the hottest part of the summer with no air conditioning. We finally called another company and had a new air conditioner, the whole unit, for the size of our house and paid for it ourselves. We are still waiting to get compensated from First American Home Warranty. That has been over a month ago. We finally got an email from them two or the three days ago and it said they will pay $600 towards a new compressor. The air conditioner cost about $4,800 and they paid $600 of it. We will not be using them in the future. Our contract is up in two months and we will be using somebody else. They would pay for cheap little things over the past nine years, but when it came to something major we got $600. At the same time if they only put a new air compressor in they have to put a new kind of Freon in, because of government regulations, and we also had to change the furnace out. When they send someone out they find the cheapest contractor or person that they can find to send them out to your house. We have not had any problems with the contractors that they have sent out. They have all done a good job. The company quality is not good because you can't contact them. They won't answer the phone. Sometimes there is a voice mail that answers, but they don't return your call. What they say is get online and handle all of your stuff through online,  which I did. I got online and established an account online and the only answer I ever got from them was they were looking into my claim. So that is the way it has been.

    This company is excellent.  After having the usual problems with other home warranty companies, I joined Complete Appliance Protection in 2012.  I first contacted them when my washing machine began to leak and again when my self-cleaning oven's door wouldn't open after the cleaning process.  On both occasions, they were very professional, courteous, and more importantly, provided me with great referrals.  They offer several protection plans which gives the consumer more than the usual number of choices in coverage.  I have great confidence in this company and highly recommend them.

    As of Sunday at 10:30 pm (36 hours from our call to them), First American has yet to get a contractor to our home. They have dragged their feet as much as possible. Every time they are called, we are told that "dispatch" will call us in 3-4 hours. Four hours go by, we call them back, and we are told the same thing again. Complete run around. Every time you call, you have to negotiate their horrid automated phone menu and then you're on hold for at least 20 minutes to get a representative. Not to mention the company they contract locally for water heaters (A Water Solutions out of Canal Winchester), which has yet to contact us, has gotten such horrible reviews on Angie's List I don't even want them in my home. Do not waste your money. Take the $500-600 they charge you for an annual contract and put it in a rainy day fund. If we'd done that, we'd have had the money socked away to get the water heater replaced yesterday, by a reputable company.

    Many warranty companies simply try to weasel their way out of doing repairs. They want your annual fee, but when it comes time to fix something, all of the sudden, the fine print comes out and you end up having to pay more out of pocket. Not so with this company. As long as you have a legit problem confirmed by their sub-contractors, you won't even pay a deductible.
    When I first bought my home, the furnace went out. This warranty covered about $800 parts/service without question and my furnace was good as new. A couple years later (this past March I believe) my furnace was acting up and I called again. The only thing I don't care for, but is still somewhat understandable, is they technically don't have to have someone out to your house for a couple business days. If this were dead of winter and freezing temps, I would have a huge problem waiting more than half a day. However, a couple hours after I made the call, Heeter called me to schedule an HVAC professional to come fix the furnace.
    Again, no additional money was spent on any deductible, fees, etc. Not only that...ABC gives their contracted service providers $5 gift cards to Lowe's to hand out when they're finished!! Awesome. It's intended for you to go buy your next furnace filter on them. What a great finishing touch. I've been very pleased with this company and will continue to use them. I do believe your premium will rise with each time you use the policy, but so far mine is still affordable at approx $125/yr. Their website still shows $99/yr which is a steal, so I'm assuming mine is higher due to claims made, which is still reasonable and understandable.

    It was more like the home buyer's warranty that came with it. We were not very happy. When you have something wrong, you submit a request and then they tell you the contractor you're going to use. The contractor's in particular were just terrible. One example, is one of our toilets wasn't flushing well and they took a look at it and said we had hard water after just looking at one toilet. He told me to use some CLR and left. They could've told me that over the phone instead of coming out and charging the $60 service charge. I have since cancelled them. I don't use them at all anymore. I replaced one toilet by myself for $250 and now it works great. I'm in the process of replacing all of them. I feel like the Real Living home warranty should've covered. I think they're kind of useless.

    We discovered out gas furnace had stopped working in the wee hours of January 16th. I first tried to call the AHS 24-hour request line and was told, via recording, that wait times for a telephone request would be extremely long and was recommended to submit my request through the AHS website. I did this, around 2:00 a.m. An e-mail followed a little later to inform us of the contractor AHS selected - Heating and Cooling Services LLC. The contractor called to schedule service by 8:00 a.m. and arrived in the promised time frame.  The contractor did a good, professional job.

    Previous homeowner purchased GasSafe warranty when the home was listed. We didn't give much thought to it at the time of closing. Recently we noticed a very minor gas leak in the basement. Called up ABC Gas for service. They had me first have Columbia Gas come out and check for leaks. Then made the appointment with ABC Gas. Repairman came out to check on the problem area and confirm Columbia's work to find they were wrong and he showed me why. Then found the true problem to be small gas leak at the main gas terminal. He fixed it no problem and charged us $0 for the work. After talking with him for a few minutes I learned what else this warranty covers....furnace, air conditioner (minus actual compressor), water heater, gas lamp, fireplace, appliances to name a few. All that for $85 to renew the policy for another year with no service call fee = sign me up for renewal.

    We have been using their services for about two years. The warranty came with the house when we bought it and we had good experiences with them, so we decided to renew it. We have used their contractors approximately five times and they were all good and were all Angie's List companies. They have saved us a lot of money.
