    He came out and took dryer apart said we needed a new belt which we agreed to also said he would replace the sensor. When he finished he told my husband the dryer was working and the sensor was replaced and the light was off. My husband paid him with a $170.00 check. Which he cashed. About three days later I loaded the dryer and started it and after about 5 minutes into the drying the sensor light came on and has continued to come on every load since. We called him back and he said he would be back to check and never showed up. We tried to leave messages but never heard back. Today I got a call from him asking if I had requested a repair service. It seemed as though he thought I was a new client wanting a new repair service. When I told him who I was and that I needed him to repair our dryer from his last call with us or refund our money his reply was he was unhappy with us because we had given him a bad review and he didn't think he wanted to work with us. Which we hadn't given any review at that point. We were still waiting to hear from him. There was a lot of back and forth and he finally said he didn't feel like he wanted to fix the problem even though he said his work was good for 30 days. He didn't want to work with me because I told him he was being dishonest by not repairing the problem that we called him for in the first place and paid him for. It got a little heated after that and we unfortunately still have a broken dryer and are out $170.00. My feeling is he never had any intention of getting in touch with us and fixing the problem. This has been going on since March 16, 2019. Will mark this company down in my book as never use again and tell as many people as I can not to risk their money or time with this company.

    My elderly mother had her AC go out a month ago. She called Authorized Appliance repair and they sold her a plain Jane furnace and AC package (ie, not high efficiency) and hot water heater and charged her $14,000. Unfortunately, my mom signed a contract or else this "review" would be under the "scam" category. I looked up prices and also got two other independent quotes from one well known local company, as well as a smaller HVAC contractor. The BOTH told me they would sell & install exact the same equipment for $7000. I called Chris and spoke to him. As expected he was defensive and told me they did not take advantage of an elderly person. I calmly asked him to look at his billing records again to see IF they had made a mistake. i called him back in 2 days and he reiterated that there was no mistake. So I can say one thing for sure about this company. Either (1) they DID take advantage of an elderly woman or (2) their costs are 2X higher than you can get by looking elsewhere. I STRONGLY discourage you from doing business with this company.

    We were very pleased with their service. They had a repair technician who was available the day after we called them. He showed up on time and quickly determined the problem (blown fuse in the dryer). He did not have the correct fuse available, but was able to return the following day and quickly get the dryer working again.

    Rippe Brothers Appliance Repair
    I���ve used these guys 3 times over an 8 year period. At first they were good. But I believe from their super star ratings they���ve gotten busy and have not done what they needed to do to keep up with demand. They add a $69trip charge to the cost of any repair. I called 2weeks ago and left two messages 3 days apart literally begging them to call because our frig was leaking onto a wood floor. They NEVER answer their phone. NO RESPONSE to my voicemail either. Call Mr Appliance of Cincinnati and they answered with a LIVE person, were here within 2 days and included the trip and diagnostic fee in the repair costs. They even sent a photo of their technician. Found out they are also a family owned business. Will never call Rippe again.

    Very pleased with service. Called on a Thursday at 1PM and was able to get an appointment the next day at 8AM. Technician showed up promptly, diagnosed problem with dryer and had the right parts with him. (they asked for the make/model when I set the appointment). I understand why they have such a great rating on Angie's List.

    Technician diagnosed issue as the electronic control but refused to open the door claiming it would damage the door and he was not allowed too. Opening the door was actually quite easy and did not damage the door.

    This company DOES NOT tell clients ahead of time they DO NOT repair/replace compressors. I was charged $85 for a service call to tell me that the compressor does not work and to be told they DO NOT handle compressor replacement at all. I had to call another company that does this type work. Which means I also had to pay another service call fee. I later called the company and asked why I was not told they DO NOT replace compressors before they scheduled my service call. The gal that answered told me because 90% of their calls are not for bad compressors. I asked what about the remaining 10% of their clients who do need compressor replacement but are still charged $85 for a service call. No response from her. After I told her I would be giving their company a bad review she hung up on me. Buyer beware of this company especially if your refrigerator will not stay cold.

    Sears Appliance Repair
    Luckily it is still under warranty, so I called Sears to get someone out to repair it. No confirmation email received but I decided that shouldn't matter too much.... Technician called the day of to do the work, and said he could be at the house early ahead of the scheduled window. I left work earlier than I had previously scheduled to meet him. Not only was he late but when I called him (30+ minutes beyond the time he said he'd be there) he was rude and offensive. He finally called me back and said he'd arrived at my address, but they had the wrong address in their system. When I informed him that he was at the wrong place he was even more offensive. Needless to say I cancelled the appointment. Over an hour of work lost and my washer still leaks. No wonder Sears is going out of business.

    We called last night and Mike was able to come at 7 am today! He was friendly, knowledgeable and had an estimate for us within minutes. We elected to have him replace the switch and the machine is now operating like it's supposed to. Do not hesitate to contact Rippe for any appliance repair, we will definitely call them again if anything else breaks!

    Repair person quickly determined the timer/heat dial was broken (hairline crack) that prevented it from setting the proper heat setting. The dial was quickly replaced, and machine was operational again.
