ADr. Hackshaw has been our daughter's pediatrician already 3 years since her birth. We always had her and never thought of looking for another one. It is very hard to become her patient as she takes limited amount of patients making sure that she provides best and all possible care. We love her and her assistant staff Kit very much. Since the first day we felt very much welcomed and genuinely loved and cared. Our daughter had a couple accidents and issues and we always received the best care and guidance.

AMy kids asked me to write a review and give Dr. Maher an A rating. My husband and I have taken our 2 boys to this practice for 13 years. Dr Maher has good and measured advice. We like her approach. She is personable and has a good bedside manner with the kids and us.

CWell, then poorly. Dr. Hedge was a thorough doctor with a great disposition. He listened, presented a plan for understanding my presenting medical issue, welcomed my questions and provided good answers. The results of my tests were posted on MyChart, and then everything seemed to fall apart. When I emailed a question through MyChart, it was not answered. When I called the office to follow up, I spoke to a person who said she would check with the doctor, but then never called me back. I called again to follow up, and to my great frustration, was again ignored. Unbelievable. If I ran my business this way, I would be out of business.

CWhile professional and responsive, Dr. Dibartola basically said "come back in two days if it is still an issue" and dismissed him as "he'll be okay". While there may be nothing a doctor can do about a viral infection, I would rather that doctor explain that to me, explain what to look for both if he gets better and what might get worse. Then he should explain what tests and treatments are available at what ages, why and when to use them, and make me feel like he is concerned about my kid too... Not dismissive. We went to Children's Hospital urgent care the next day and they did far more and much better, including a respiratory infection test, x-ray, irrigated out an ear so they could inspect it. (Dibartola had previously mentioned "it is too clogged to see" and then did minimal picking with a tool, (then charged for a full cleaning!) and still couldn't tell.)

DOh my! 1) Determined arm was broken and would require surgery. Because it was late, the ER suggested I remain in the hospital until surgery can be performed to manage pain. Once admitted, I got eye-rolls and attitude every time I asked for pain medication. In addition, a social worker was sent in to talk to me about going into rehab rather than home. I already have home health care, which would be suspended during any rehab and I would lose the best aide I'd ever had in such a circumstance. 2) I mentioned pain in my shoulder in addition to my arm to EVERY SINGLE PERSON that I came into contact with from EMTs to the surgeon that finally came to see me who exclaimed, "Shoulder? Nobody said anything about your shoulder." He also said that ER was wrong in thinking I would need surgery for the arm. 3) In the meantime, doctors decided I had a UTI and wanted me to stay to treat it. Mind you, on previous visits within the past six months, they diagnosed me with UTIs that didn't hold up when another lab was used. 4) Once I was told I didn't need the surgery, I told them I'd rather just go home; especially since the only pain management they were willing to give to me at that point were pills. I told them that I didn't need to stay in a hospital to take pills and I would follow up with my primary regarding the UTI (which probably wasn't a UTI). They gave me the against medical advice speech. I called my father to come rescue me and checked out AMA. I did NOT have a UTI as suspected. 5) When I went to a different surgeon from another local reputable hospital, he turned the computer screen to explain what he saw. As soon as I saw it, I was concerned about what looked like a piece of my shoulder bone just floating next to the rest of the shoulder. The new doctor concurred with the no surgery on the arm and then said, pointing to the floating shoulder bone, "THIS is your real problem right here. Did St. Ann's not indicate you broke your shoulder?" [See 2) above] 6) They sent me a bill. Now, if I could see that there was something wrong with the x-ray, why didn't the St. Ann's surgeon? Even if no one had said anything to him about it, one genuine look should have been enough for him to know. Cumulative cost unknown.

AAfter a frustrating and long search for a new doctor, I found Dr. Erin McConnell with the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, at the CarePoint Lewis Center facility. This is essentially a branch location of the Wexner Medical Center, only a few years old, so everything about it is up-to-date, accessible, well-appointed and welcoming. It's essentially a small hospital facility as well. I can't recommend Dr. McConnell enough. She's a dynamic, engaged, and warm all the while she's being expert and thorough in her evaluation and diagnostics. I've switched my 15-year old daughter from a lack-luster pediatrician to Dr. McConnell, who welcomes working with adolescents. The other thing I like is not having to schedule appointments with a different doctor for my general wellness and female health care. It being situated a bit out in the countryside is nice, too, because it's easily accessed and parking is free. Actually, it's closer and more convenient to my home than OSU campus or downtown Columbus locations. In a way, it feels like a well-kept secret!

AProfessional PediatricsHave always been seen the same day for sick visits. Not a long wait once checked in. The doctors have all been there for several years and are absolutely wonderful with children of all ages! They take pride in your child's health!- Jennifer D.
-
AStep by Step PediatricsI feel very good about the care we get at Step by Step. Dr. Tansky is wonderful and is our primary doctor. However we have seen Dr. Miller before also and was very pleased with him too. As a first time mom it is very reassuring to know that my child is getting top notch care.- Suzanne N.

ALittleton, Dr. Anne DDr. Littleton is amazing! She is very down to earth and the most caring doctor I've ever been around. All 3 of my kids go to her (11 years now...ages 11, 6, and 2) and they adore her. She never makes you feel rushed and takes the time to listen and ask questions. The nurses are wonderful as well, especially when you're calling about a sick child. I've seen a couple other doctors at this practice (when I had a sick child and Dr. Littleton wasn't available), and they were great too!- RUTH E.

AEmerald PediatricsMy two boys have been seeing Dr. Behrens for about eight years now. The boys feel comfortable with her and all of the staff at Emerald Pediatrics. They are prompt on calling us about questions to the nurse line.- Jennifer L.

ALittleton, Dr. Anne DDr. Anne Littleton is our pediatrician, and she is a wonderful, smart, competent, and caring doctor. The doctors aids are wonderful people too. This is a place that prioritizes the children -- and truly cares about them -- over profit, expediency, or any other self-interest. These doctors will inconvenience themselves to prioritize children's care and happiness. They are simply great.- GABRIELLE B.

ALittleton, Dr. Anne DAnne is worth the office wait, which there usually is. When my kids still napped, I'd call the office before waking them for an appointment and make sure she was on time before waking them. Anne was great when they were babies. If she had to give them a shot she would hold them and give them a kiss until they stopped crying. She always goes above and beyond in her attention and care. As the boys have gotten older, she relates to them as young adults, speaking directly to them (as opposed to me) and taking all their questions seriously. The whole practice is great and Anne is the best!- ALICE F.

AEmerald PediatricsThey are fine. They are a good pediatric group. We can either pick one doctor or see them all and we have pretty much seen them all in our short stay here. They have open hours during a certain time frame in the morning if our children are ill. After that they do accept appointments. They try to squeeze us in if they have space and if not, they get us in the next day.- Kevin H.
-
AEmerald PediatricsStaff is always friendly. They always spend adequate time with us during our visit and I always feel like all of our concerns are addressed.- Sara K.
-
AEmerald PediatricsThey are the place to go. They have evening and weekend hours and I would give them an A+ for that. It is a necessity when you are dealing with kids that they are available.- PETER & KATHY B.
