Landscaping reviews in Washington Court House

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • I called BB on a Monday and Tuesday morning they arrived to look at what I wanted done and gave me a quote.  I made a counter offer, which they accepted, and they began work immediately.  They worked quickly and efficiently and finished by early afternoon.  Their work was exactly what I had envisioned and greatly improved the look of our landscaping.  Cleanup was very thorough - they even took away two large piles of tree limbs that I had cut the previous weekend without any extra charge.  The reason that I gave them an overall "B" on professionalism was because after starting work, one of the workers took off his shirt and revealed a significant portion of his butt.  He continued working for some time in this mode until I brought is to the attention of his boss, who quickly fixed the issue.

I am very happy with the results and would, and probably will, use them again in the future.

  • They overcharged and argued with my sister-in-law over work that was completed that they charged too much for. My advice to others who are considering using them is to get everything in writing and to be sure to keep their receipts after they pay for a completed project or they will charge you more.

  • I am very disappointed that a company that offers a deal to a certain service area on Angie's Big Deal refuses to honor that service area. Angie's list and/or the company should plan ahead before offering the deal.

  • We used Bentley Mowing Services less than a month.  The last time they mowed, they caused damage to a down spout on the house.  My husband called to let them know about it and spoke to Mark Bentley, the owner of the business.  My husband just wanted him to be aware of what happened.  He didn't expect Mark to replace the down spout, he just wanted him to be aware of the damage in case he didn't know.  My husband told him that if there was damage done just to let someone know about it because accidents happen, instead of not saying anything about it.  Mark jumped down my husband's throat.  He told my husband that they are not responsible for any items in the yard (a downspout really?)  My husband told Mark his people should let him know about damage they cause. My husband was cordial to him.  Mark was on the defensive the whole time he was on the phone to my husband.  He wanted to be argumentative about the whole situation blaming us!  He went down a list of things we shouldn't have in the yard, which makes his job harder.  So instead of giving a form in the very beginning of his services we have to sign, etc. stating the very demands his services expect from his clients, he just insults you if you have a problem.  My husband and I have no problem with the services he rendered, but if there is a situation that comes up, we found very quickly that the owner will not accept any responsibilty for his or his workers actions.  He insulted my husband and made us feel like, "How dare we say anything about his business or his people!"  This was not true.  My husband told him if he were the one who had a business he would want his customers to let him know, so things could make his business better.  Mark kept saying to him and once to me, "This is only a $25 dollar a week job!"  Like we only mattered if we were paying him $60 per week, etc.  That was very upsetting that he feels that his $25 a week customers are not as worthy as those who are paying more for his services.  Our yard is exceptionally small, it takes 20 minutes from start to finish to be completed by his services.   My husband and I are shocked by his behavior over a $5 item that we didn't expect anyone to pay for. If there was a minor incident acknowledgement of this small incident  would have been fine.  But when my husband calls to let him know, my husband was literally raked over the coals.   Bentley Mowing Service will no longer be getting our business.

  • He totally ruined all of my grandpa's floors by oversanding them. He just took my grandpa's money and ran. My grandpa is 100 years old! This guy will lie and say anything to get a job. You hear about this stuff and don't believe it happens but it does - I don't want anyone to go through this again. I hope no one else gets taken by this guy. It is truly horrible what he did.

  • It went very well overall. They were timely, and their estimate was very fair. Their workmanship was excellent, they did what they were supposed to do when they were supposed to do it. They were ranked very high on the list and we felt that it was accurate.
