    The end result is a completely modern, open-concept kithen. Everyone who sees it is amazed by it and the quality of Dan's (and his support people's) work. In summary, Dan is the most knowledgable contractor that my wife and I have ever met, and one of the nicest people you'll ever come across. He is a very hard worker, and pays meticulous atention to detail. He also cleaned up after himself at the end of each day, and kept the work area clean and organized. If we ever have any other projects, Dan is the first person we will be contacting.

    Excellent from beginning to end. This was a 3 day project. We had to leave town. We gave them the house key & turned the house over to Zoltan & his crew for the 3 days. At the end they left the house clean, locked up the house, leaving the key inside. 1st spoke with Zoltan on 11/12. He came out early on 11/13 to measure & prepare quote. After leaving he text with the pre-estimate. Then we talked about which rooms to do. Once I decided on which rooms to have done, Zoltan emailed me the contract (on 11/13) agreeing to start the work one week later on 11/19. I signed the contract & returned the same day. Work began 11/19 & was completed on 11/21. Since we were not present Zoltan surprised us & sent pictures of the floors after they had been sanded then again after the floors had been finished. They looked beautiful both times. Tamas was one of the guys working on the floors & was excellent in all matters. We were very impressed with the professionalism, promptness and responsiveness of everyone we had contact with for this company. Zoltan didn't mind all the questions I had via text & the phone. We had selected this company based on the previous reviews he had on Angies list. We received a discount as Angie's List members. We will definitely call again when we remodel the kitchen so Zoltan can put down a matching oak floor in the kitchen. We had no language communication problems or misunderstandings at all. Everything went very smoothly & we were comfortable turning over our home to them.

    The carpet and padding job was a breeze from start to finish.  I scheduled an appointment online for a day and time that was convenient for us.  John was very punctual for the meeting.  He explained the process to us, measured the area to be carpeted, and then went out to his truck to get samples of different types of carpet and padding. Once we made our selection, he returned to his truck to complete the quote.  It was a great experience to never leave our home, have everything brought to us, and have the process completed within a few hours.  50% of the balance was due at the time. 

    Once the carpet was in stock, scheduling the installation was simple with Jen.  The installers arrived on time, were professional in their work and cleaned up each night.  They were great with working around our schedules.  I would definitely recommend Rob to install the carpet to anyone.  John also stopped out during the installation to check in and make sure everything was running smoothly.

    John came out a few days later to look over the installation and to see if we had any issues with the final product (there were none).  We made our final payment at this time. 

    I would definitely recommend Floor Coverings International - Cleveland West to anyone who is in the market for some new flooring.  Great job by everyone involved!

    .First of all, Hansen Restoration was the ONLY Contractor (out of 4) that returned my call and they did so within 30 minutes!!!  Within 2 days, Mr. Hansen came to my home to talk to me about my project and take measurements.  The next day I had an estimate.  Shane, the project manager, visited me next and scheduled the renovation.  I was given my "homework" of picking out fixtures, paint color, flooring, etc.  with guidance from Shane (very helpful).  The project went well.  There  was a delay with  the arrival of the shower door which stopped work for 4 days.  But, in the end the renovation was completed on time and the result was BEAUTIFUL!  I've received nothing but compliments from family and friends.  The only complaint is that most of the construction waste was not hauled away until the last day.
     I was so happy with my guest bathroom renovation that I called Hansen back to renovate my main bathroom upstairs.  Again, Hansen responded quickly, sending son, Devin, to my home to determine the scope of work.  My estimate again came to me the next day.  John K was the Project Manager for this renovation.  His attention to detail and his advice (I had no idea how to pick out a tub!!!)  were exceptional.  John, the contractor on site, also was fantastic!  It was quite obvious that he took great pride in his work.  Everything was installed beautifully.  He cleaned up the debris everyday.  The project was completed on time and again, I've received compliments from everyone!  ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL RENOVATION!
    I will note that the cost of both projects exceeded the estimate because I CHOSE to upgrade.  I feel that the estimates were thorough and fair.
    I would recommend Hansen Restoration and would not hesitate to use them again in the future.

    They were real good and we liked it very much. They have a good product. They were on time and they cleaned up after themselves. They did a good job. We had a really good price. We paid for the flooring and the installation was only $350 for two rooms and a hall.

    So the day they were supposed to arrive, they did not arrive.  Finally later in the afternoon (after taking off work), we called Empire and they tried to get ahold of the installer. He was going to run over on another job and couldn't make it. Would have been nice to know a couple hours ago. So they reschedule us, again. They promise this time they will come out on Saturday. They were there all day. They filled our house with a layer of dust pulling up some tiles by the front door and did not attempt to cover or clean. The y spend all day in our house and at the end of the day, no floor. They say we will call you Sunday morning and come out, okay I say. They were alternately sitting in their van playing Angry Birds on their phones or listening to music or playing games on their phones. I would say HALF the time, they were sitting in their van. Sunday comes and no call till 3pm. Call them back and by time i reach them it's too late for them to come out and finish. So we were re-scheduled again for the next weekend.They finally finish most of it that next weekend, but had to come back for a couple hours another time to finsh up the trim.

    Now, we can't get anyone to call us back about when this new guy is going to come out and fix our floor. 3 calls to customer service and stll no call from this installer today.  The lack of professional, ability to meet the customers expectations and quality of the work performed was sub par. We will never go with Empire or a sub-contractor again. There is no control or accountability for these guys and I will let others know about our experience.

    UPDATE: 6/1/12 - So the guy finally comes to the house at 7pm that night. Some story about his cell breaking, well then how did he call me at 6pm to tell me he would be there at 7 if it was broken. So he comes and guess what, no repairs. Just looks at everything. Says he will have to get back with me. Seriously. So almost 2 weeks go by and I have had no call from Empire. I call in and speak with someone in the "local" office says I should have called them, not Empire Customer Service. Okay, like I knew that and how does that help me. So then she goes on about the carpet and how a manager has to come look at the issues and it's only mon-fri 8am-4. Well I and my husband are regular working people and we can't take off work and drive an hour home so a manager can come look at it and determine if its warranty or wear. Then she starts questioning me about if I had it professionally cleaned yet etc and says the warranty says we have to have professionally cleaned after certain number of months. It's less than a year old carpet, no we haven;'t had it "professionally" cleaned. Seriously. So finally she agrees, after numerous calls, to have the guy who is going to now come out and do repairs (still another week away) take pictures of the carpet and send back to them so they can make decision on what to do. Although the former guy wrote a whole page description of the problem, i watched him write it. Fine, whatever.

    So our day finally comes for the repairs to the vinyl and guess what, I get a phone call mid morning and the installer/repair guy is no longer available so they have to be rescheduled. Should I be surprised, no. P*****, yes. So another week goes by and saturday they arrive and guess who it is. The original installers who screwed off so much the first time. But they were able to fix the vinyl in less than 30 minutes this time. But wait, it gets better. I am outside with my son and do not realize that they never took pictures of the carpet or wrote down anything about it. And they leave. I am so sick of this company.

    The salesman came out to our home to show samples after I described over the phone what I was looking for. He had an appointment out our way which ran long, so he ended up getting there pretty late at night. I needed the process to be a quick one as it was one of many decisions I had to make before moving into the house. The choice was made, the rug was ordered, cut to size and the edges were finished off in time to be delivered on moving day, which worked out perfectly. Rug and pad were placed, any ridges from being tied together during transit were pointed out and explained that they will settle down which is fine.

    Called for an estimate, Stan was came the next day. Was very courteous when i told him I was price shopping with other vendors. I called the professional office staff to schedule carpet installation, appointment was made and everything went so smooth. Very prompt and called before arrival, old carpet and padding removed and and new installed. They cleaned up all debri and gave me an itemized invoice and said to call anytime if there were any problems.

    My wife and I were extremely pleased. Robert stuck to his original estimate even though the tile was of a higher grade than what he had based his original labor estimate. The thicker tile took longer to cut which lengthened the job. He replaced the binders because the old ones had become to brittle to save and replaced the metal runners that provide the trim. Robert went and purchased the final two tiles at Lowes after the original supply ran out and pointed out the care instructions. Further he moved the stove and the refrigerator out of the kitchen to do the project. Robert allowed us to purchase the tile and remove, as much as we could, the old tile. This helped us make the job more affordable since we did as much of the work as we could.
