Terry's crew is top notch. They were always on time and left everything neat. I was impressed with the 2 carpenters and the care they took with measuring and making things fit just right. When we called Terry with a question, if he could not answer immediately, he returned our calls in a timely manner. I couldn't be happier - quality workmanship, and the deck is exactly what I asked for. We would definitely recommend Deckmasters and use them again for another project.

The entire process went very well. ?They provided the service on time and in a very professional manner. ?We were exceptionally pleased with the design of the new deck. ?The designer took the time and had the vision to go "out of the box" with the design and quite honestly - of the four contractors we contacted - it was the imaginative design that attracted us to Dream Decks. ?We had already done our research and knew they did quality work. ?We are very pleased.

Working with Dream Deck's couldn't have gone more smoothly. They were one of several contractors I had provide me a quote for a new deck. They were the   ONLY contractor to sit down with my wife and I, listen to our wants, and provide a beautiful design during the FIRST meeting we had with them. Andy did an amazing job taking our ideas and putting them into his computer and providing us a visual of the finished product, all from our kitchen table.
After our first meeting with Dream Deck's we knew immediately we wanted to use them. However, both my wife and I can be indecisive when it comes to making big purchases and this project was no different. We reached out to Andy on several occasions regarding changes to the design and at no point did we get the impression he was irritated with us. He actually came back out to our house and provided new designs based off of the changes we provided to him. At the end, we agreed to the original design and again we never felt like Andy was irritated with us. We signed the contract and scheduled that same day.
Construction actually started early which was not a problem for my wife and I. We handled getting the permit (Dream Deck's will do it for you if you don't feel like dealing with the hassle), and Dream Deck's took care of everything else. Luke & his team tore down and hauled away my old deck in 1 day and completed the construction of the new deck in 4 days. Luke & his crew were very professional and happy to answer any questions we had throughout the entire process.
We can't say enough about the construction of the deck. Everything was done to code, in some cases even better. The design is even more beautiful than was shown to us in our first meeting. Top quality materials were used throughout. My wife and finally feel like we have a usable space on the back of our house and can't wait until next summer to take advantage of the new addition.
If you are shopping for a new deck, we highly recommend taking a look at Dream Decks. Their professionalism and quality of work stands above their competitors!

It went very smooth from start to finish.  It started with Brad the owner who is as honest as the day is long.  He explained out options in language we the common man could understand - Brads been a carpenter since he was very young - it runs in his family his Dad worked with him on the job along with several other gentleman.  The job was done in two days - after the footings were poured.  Quick, quality, cleaned up.  Who brings dirt with them on their jobs to put down so you can go and lay seed right over it so you can plant new grass?  Brad and his team did - I was shocked and pleasantly surprised.
If you're looking for someone do do it right, at a reasonable cost who's very honest Brad is your man!  I've recommended him to friends and family already and now I'll recommend him to all the people of Angies list.

After a rough winter the deck was left in need of cleanup and stain. Due to a really rainy summer, it was difficult to get it scheduled. Trace was really good about keeping in contact so I knew I was not forgotten. The deck was power washed and stained over a month ago. It looks like new again and the water is still beading on the surface.

Based on the favorable reviews on Angies list we contacted Trace by email for an estimate for a new deck and fire pit. He was prompt in getting back to us and arranged a time and date for the estimate. At our estimate visit we discussed several options. Trace was very patient with this process as we wanted know all of our options. We settled on a new deck resurface of pressure treated pine with and a gravel fire pit installation. We had to wait to start the work as we were also having our basement waterproofed and was not sure if the work was to be done inside or outside in the area of the deck. As soon as we knew that no work was to be done in the deck area we contacted Trace to do the work. Since it had been a fair amount of time since his last visit he came back out to review the plans. At this time we noticed that previously installed deck had settled in one corner. Trace gave us two options; one to block the existing structure to level it (to reduce cost for the repair) and one to rebuild a new structure. We went with the later, good thing as I will describe later. We also added lighting and red western cedar to the estimate as Trace gave us such a fair price for the upgrade.
The work began about a month later, delayed by our basement work and the weather. Trace's team came out to remove the old deck. I was impressed by their skill and professionalism. As they were removing the old deck they discovered water damaged rotten wood under the fireplace area due to faulty installation of the removed deck. This may not have been discovered had we not gone with the total rebuild. They asked for permission to fix it. (of course I obliged as our fireplace could have fallen out one evening due to wood rot) I also told them that we get a lot of cold air in around the deck area of the house and they agreed to also put a wrap on it to seal the air out. The installation of the deck and fire pit seemed quick and effortless. I even made changes to the plans during the installation (wider steps and recessed pavers in the fire pit) which Dan and the crew were more than willing to accommodate. They did a great job of cleaning up their mess, almost as if they were not here. A few days later Trace came out to make sure we were happy with the work and to redefine the flower beds and put in plant material which he mulched with pine straw that I had here. He also brought in some top soil and reseeded the grass area by the deck.
In review I couldn't be happier with our new cedar deck and fire pit. The lighting is as beautiful by day with the copper fixtures as it is lit by night. The red western cedar is gorgeous (and Trace's specialty) I highly recommend it over treated pine. The fire pit is exactly what I envisioned, rustic yet finished. Trace and his crew were such a joy to work with. I think that we have found 'our guys' for future work. Trace, if you read this would love to have you and your crew back for everything from landscape work and basement finishing. If you have Tab Property Enhancement do your work, you will not be disappointed.

The project went very well. There was one slight delay when Mr. Higham hurt his ankle and needed to avoid bearing weight on it, but he kept us informed as to when he felt he would be able to do the work and the work ultimately started exactly when he said it would. Bill and his workers showed up on time and set about enlarging our deck. His workers were pleasant and seemed knowledgeable. It was a very efficient project; work was completed on time and I was very happy with the finished project. The deck looks great and it is exactly what I wanted.  I couldn't have been happier dealing with Bill and I highly recommend him. (he even fixed the latch on our gate just because he saw that it needed done)

I can't say enough about these guys. They are so good. Everything about them is excellent. They are professional and hard working. Their work is impeccable. It is priced according to its quality and worth every penny. I first used them a couple of years ago to fix our gazebo after a tree had fallen on it, and they did an excellent job then. We liked them so much then that we called them now to do more work. The garage is beautiful. They seem to be able to do everything and they really are excellent. We would absolutely use them again in the future.

I understand my tone was harsh but this has been a slowly growing situation. Here are some of the reasons we have for being upset at this point in the project
    1. The waterproofing took around 5 weeks to complete.
    2. The workers were only going to put up 2 layers of waterproofing and we insisted on a 3rd layer - as the contract states.
    3. Your salesman Tom told us that we would have river rock to back fill everything except the top 18". Only the top 18" would be topsoil. In reality there was about 3' of river rock and 4'-5' of topsoil. We had around 10 quotes from waterproofing companies. All of them but 1 said that there would only be 18"of topsoil. The one exception said he back-filled to ground level with river rock - no top soil.
    4. Your salesmanTom told us that all proper permits would be requested and any inspections needed would be completed.
We could not find any records of permit requests on the City/County website. If you have the permits please let us know and show us.
    5. After the work was completed we were left with a very large pile of dirt that we cannot get your company to come and pick up. We have been requesting that this pile be picked up since June.
    6. With all of the extra dirt that was used to fill around the house there has been a large amount of settling which caused the downspout
Drains pipes to separate from the downspouts - our downspouts were draining against the foundation wall. We called and emailed starting the beginning of June. We emailed and/or called every week for a month to get somebody to fix the drain and pick up the dirt. The company's response was that we were on the board. Then because of the settling and the lack of a response to correct the issue, the drain pipe disconnected from the sump pump which caused our basement to flood. We called the night our basement flooded and it was still another week before workers came out to fix the drain pipes. When the workers got here they said they didn't know anything about the dirt that needed to be picked up.
    7. Per verbal agreement, we agreed to put our wraparound porch back together ourselves in order for your company to agree to run the drain pipes to the catch basin at the corner. We agreed to this despite the fact that we thought the drains would run directly to the catchbasin from the beginning. We were told again by your salesman that you would tie-in to the catchbasin. I'm pretty sure that it's industry standard to use the term tie-in when you are directly connecting to something - not water running down the street.
    8. In addition, we told the workers that the brick paver patio did not need to be put back because we didn't want the pavers behind the house. It is in the contract that you would put the patio and wraparound porch back. We have saved your company many labor hours and money by making these changes.
    9. Now, with the settling of the dirt, our chimney has shifted/fallen and looks like it may fall soon.
    10. We were also originally told that you could do the waterproofing and drainage without going through our sump pump. This was the main reason we hadn't signed a contract with anybody yet-we didn't want the drain water to come into the house.
    11. We didn't find out until after the project was finished and the work crew had left that the workers had been urinating on our stack of paver bricks in the yard. We could see the stain on the bricks and could smell it.
    12. While the chimney issue is recent, all of the issues combined have culminated in giving us a feeling of untrustworthiness with your company. We do not have faith that you will make an effort to correct the problems we are having.
