AINSULATION CONCEPTSThey blew in insulation from the outside. They were courteous, they worked hard, they were always on time, they stuck to their quotes, and they assisted me in getting the energy rebates through our gas company. They continually made sure we were safe in the house checking the carbon monoxide levels in our home as they were sealing everything up. I greatly appreciated their attention to my family’s safety. I would highly recommend them.- matt k.

AOHIO VALLEY SPRAY FOAMHe was super nice. He may have been one day late but it didn't bother me at all. It was just to give me an estimate. However, he was too high; we couldn't go with that price. He was here when he said he would be. I think he might have said this day or that day like Monday and Tuesday or Tuesday and Wednesday, and he didn't come the first day and he came the next day. He called to make sure that it was okay for him to come, so I appreciate that, instead of just showing up. When he was here, he was nice, respectful, and informative. He was very helpful in pointing out things that we needed done that I have seen. He was a super nice guy. He was very professional and didn't irritate me at all. Unfortunately, it was of high cost. I just wish I could afford him because I liked him.- Roxanne H.

AED GARRETT INSULATINGWe first received an estimate and then had the work done. The worders were on time, professional, cleaned up after themselves, explained the process entirely, and the final bill was exactly what was estimated - no surprises or hidden fees. We will definitely call them for any future insulation needs and recommend them highly.- Laura G.

AOHIO VALLEY SPRAY FOAMOhio Valley Spray Foam was contracted to apply poly urethane foam insulation to the concrete walls of my home's crawl space. The crawl space walls are 3-4 ft high and the perimeter length of the house is around 250 ft. The total area insulated was approximately 850 sq ft. The estimator arrived as scheduled and the price quoted was reasonable. I had estimated the cost of materials to insulate the same area with rigid foam would be $1200-1400 and would have required two weekends to complete. The crew arrived when scheduled and promptly got to work. The foam application was completed in less than 3 hrs. The odor of the material was only slightly noticeable in the house. Windows were left open for a few hours and by then the odor was gone. The foam insulation was applied well and has strongly bonded to the concrete walls. The crew leader returned the following day and installed foam covers over the crawl space vents to create an air tight seal. (Note: When sealing up a crawl space it is necessary to install a vapor barrier on the ground and use a dehumidifier to control moisture - prevent mold) The crew leader also mentioned to me that there was some water accumulation in the crawl space. There was a lot of rain in the early summer. Although I had not seen water build up before, it did not surprise me. I appreciated the warning and have since installed drainage to prevent water accumulation in the future. I am pleased with the quality of materials and the job overall. The insulation was done as part of my effort to reduce energy use / cost. Closing in and insulating the crawl space has made the house more comfortable and efficient. I estimate the insulation cost will pay for itself in about 5 years. Ohio Valley Spray Foam earned all A's from except for cost and responsiveness which earned B's. I think their pricing was fair, and I have no complaints, but it did not and quot;wowand quot; me. The B for responsiveness was given because I had to call several times to set up the estimate. Once the schedule was set, everything went well. Overall I am happy with the work and would have Ohio Valley Spray Foam back to work if I had the need in the future.- Scott S.

Employees were professional at all times, extremely knowledgeable, answered all questions, and no clean up was required after they left. Price quoted remained the same with no surprise add ons. Extremely pleased with product and workmanship.- Laura G.

BED GARRETT INSULATINGHe is always there when he says he will be and he does a good job as far as I'm concerned. I think his price was pretty much average, he wasn't the highest or lowest.- larry s.

DBowser Construction LLCThe drywall ceiling of 1/2 of my double garage had collapsed due to a previous roof leak. I called and Mr. Bowser returned my call promptly and showed up quickly to give me an estimate of $2000-$2400. I thought the estimate was high, but I was anxious to have the ceiling repaired and he could have someone get materials that day and start work the next morning. Estimate to complete was 1-1/2-2 days. This project quickly went straight downhill after this. His recommendation was to replace the drywall ceiling with plywood instead of drywall and not knowing anything about construction, I was persuaded and agreed. The 2 workers that arrived (1 was only there part of the time, it was usually just one) were more like his handymen instead of actual construction workers. One even told me he had been working on shoveling snow for weeks at Mr. Bowser's rental properties. I was very disappointed with the look of the garage ceiling being 1/2 drywall and 1/2 plywood. The seams between the plywood sections stood out like a sore thumb, so when I complained they agreed to caulk the seams, they used a tinted caulk that did not match the paint of the plywood. While putting insulation above the plywood as I requested, the other worker fell through the drywall section of my ceiling. Thankfully, he was ok, but I had a huge hole in that section of ceiling! Mr. Bowser said that a board the worker was standing on broke, but the other worker had already told me that this particular man had a history of doing this and they laughed about it. Then they had to repair part of the drywall ceiling. The patch did come out pretty well, but the paint did not match the existing ceiling on that half. They then offered to paint that half of the garage, but I had a lot stored in that section of the garage which I could not clean out overnight, so I declined. The project ended up taking approx. 10 days, the 2 workers did not always work full days, and most days there was only one. On one day, I waited and nobody showed up and nobody called. It was such a pain to be up early just in case they arrived early and then be home for the length of this project that was supposed to last 2 days. When Mr. Bowser showed up afterwards to collect the money, he charged me the maximum of the estimate of $2,400, when I argued everything I was so disappointed in, he did not budge one cent. He left with the full $2,400 and I was left with a garage ceiling that I was not satisfied with. I will never use this contractor again. The workers were incompetent and unprofessional as I found one snooping through my stuff in the garage vs. working! Never, ever again!!- TERRI F.
