Kelly inspected our lighting system and determined that one of our outdoor lighting lines had been cut in 2 places (He sent us pics showing the damage). A couple of days later he came out and put in a new line via a conduit pipe that ran under our sidewalk in the front yard. Once the work was completed, we made arrangements for him to meet us at our house to pay him. He gave me a bill for $450 and I wrote him a check. My husband had been on the phone during this time. Once he got off the phone and noticed the amount of the bill, he caught Kelly before he left to ask for an itemized bill and asked why it cost so much. Kelly responded that it took 8 hours to do dig, locate the cut lines, replace it, and run the lines via the conduit pipe. My husband requested he provide an itemized bill showing the # of labor hours, cost of the materials, etc. At first Kelly gave my husband some pushback about providing it; however, he then said he would send us one. The lighting is working properly so we are happy about that . However, we do think the price was too high and not sure it should've taken 8 hrs to complete as he said. We should have gotten an estimate from him first even if we've used him before. We did receive the itemized bill (attached) in the mail on 12 June in which he included 9 hrs of labor and not the 8 he initially told us.

First was referred to Mr. Schreier through First American Home Warranty in March for a similar problem. Requested him again in July when another contractor was unable to diagnose it. He was wonderful, very professional, and quickly found the problem and and fixed it.

We were very pleased with the man who came to our house.
He helped us with the problem we had with the breakers and he evaluated future
electrical needs.  He offered ideas on workmanship.
We will be contacting them again to continue the work needed.

    Jeff Bonham Electric Inc
Jeff and his team removed all existing overhead garage tube lights and then installed new, higher efficiency tube lighting. A new exterior GFI outlet was installed using an existing interior circuit. All work and the corresponding final clean-up was well done by a professional, respectful team.

This was an Angieslist Big Deal.

Appointment was made 2 days after contact.

Electrician arrived at scheduled time. The work was correctly and professionally done.

He put down drop cloths and cleaned up after himself.

Project was completed in 1 hour. Everything works great. Very happy with the results and price.

    Felty Electric
I have used Felt several times and have always been extremely p-leased with the quality of work provided. Dale is knowledgeable, professional and very reasonable. Recently I had a "glitch" happen on a Saturday and I called Dale. Even with a full plate in front of him he said he would make time to get to me that day. He arrived, found the problem right away.(I had overlooked a simple fix) Dale was very gracious about having run 30 miles out of his way. I highly recommend Dale and his company.

Wheeler Electric did no come prepared for the job.

    1. With no electrical socket in his truck, electrician went to hardware to get one.   The extra time spent at the hardware put him over 1 hour by 22 minutes.   Thus, I had to pay for this extra hour of "work."  I had paid $69 through Angie's list for the house call and first hour.   This would have been adequate for what was done, if Wheeler Electric came prepared for the job with an electrical socket in the truck.    I believe that home electricians should come prepared with an electrical socket in the truck.

    2.  My second story flood lights did not work.   Wheeler Electric did not have an extension ladder t replace flood lights.  Electrician asked me if I had a ladder.    I single-handedly took my extension ladder out of the garage and set it up under a light which needed replacement.   While the electrician was doing something else, the wind blew my ladder across the back face of my house, where it hit the edge of a new window, damaging it.   None of this would have happened it Wheeler Electric came prepared with an extension ladder in he truck.   I believe that home electricians should come prepared with an electrical socket in the truck.

Before contacting Northern Lights, I had attempted to install two dimmer switches myself. However, when I opened the switch box, I discovered several unexpected junctions. I attempted to wire the dimmers myself, but encountered problems because this box had been used for other circuits besides the lights and the junctions looked like a bowl of spaghetti. Because of the additional junctions in the box, there was also a lack of space for the larger dimmer assemblies to fit.
Northern Lights reworked the switch box and quickly installed the new dimmers. Fixing the outlets took longer because the wiring had to be traced back to find where circuits were broken. The circuits in my house are not laid out in especially logical groupings so several areas had to be examined before the problems were found. Once the issues were isolated, the repairs went quickly.
Overall, I received excellent value for the cost. Workmanship was very professional with explanations provided as to what was going on and how the problems were resolved.

    Jeff Bonham Electric Inc

This company is nothing but professional. They do all of our annual service on our generator and have had them out on a couple of occasions for miscellaneous electrical jobs. They are my "go to" electricians.

    Bower Electric
He was very helpful and answered all my questions well. He gave good suggestions on lighting for my house. I really liked he was able to diagnose and  ix the outdoor outlets. His price was lower than other companies and the final price was lower than what he quoted me. I have recommended his service to others.
