Remodeling Kitchen And Bath reviews in Valley View

He came out and he made some suggestions about cabinetry changes and a new counter and a new sink and so forth and so on but essentially the changes weren't gonna make much difference to that kitchen.

The man put forth a lot of effort and time finding like the kind of sink I wanted and other things and there were constraints based on the size of the kitchen about what you could do and where the windows were placed in the kitchen and so this wasn't so easy. I wanted a double like stainless sink and I have a porcelain sink in there that's a double sink and you'd think that you could just swap one out for the other but things have changed in their size and configuration and what he did find I don't know if you are familiar with sinks like the sink where you have you actually have two bowls but one is smaller, and that would have allowed me to have a small dish washer installed as part of his project which I don't have.

He knows his work, he has a lot of connections in the industry. He notices things that are kind of unexpected.

The company's description states, "From the simple to complex, no job is too large or too small, and we appeal to ALL budgets." Well, I didn't find that to be true. My project was to have a kitchen cabinet remodeled in order to accommodate a dishwasher. However, KDC said they could not take on this project at this time. I suppose if your project is not a full kitchen remodel then it evidently *is* "too small." If your budget isn't in the thousands, then it must not be included in KDC's definition of "ALL budgets." I suggest KDC either update their advertising to match their practice or be about what they say they're about.

The entire project had taken several months, but it was worth it. My house is old, so there were problems hidden behind old walls, floors, and ceilings, but Jimmy pointed out the issues and they were flexible to my every desire. They were clean and efficient. I would definitely use them again.

From previous reviews we knew they might be a bit pricier than other contractors, but we chose to go with them expecting high quality work and we got it!
Whole project two about two weeks.  First week was tear down, drywall, installation of tub, replacing old bath plumbing pipes below in basement, boarding up of window and fixing the siding outside to match. Second week was tile, caulking around tub, installation of new sink and toilet, electrical and finishing touches. We were allowed one day during the second week in which to prime and paint.
Since this was our only bathroom they were careful to clean up as best they could every day and they re-seated the toilet every night so we could use it. They also placed protective rugs on our wood floors for the duration so as not to damage them. Removed pictures on adjacent walls that we forgot to remove.
Work was done during regular business hours. They were punctual and courteous.  Very professional service. We were very pleased and are already thinking of hiring again to work on our kitchen floors next year!
    Thanks to Justin and team!

John was very courteous and professional when he met with me to go over the work that we wanted done. He assured me that all items were within his company's capabilities, that he has people that specialiaze in certain areas. I was told that it should take no longer than 1 week to finish everything as multiple repairs would be happening at the same time. When the work started, John was the one that performed the work and was helped by his young son. They were here for 2 full weeks before the work was completed.
My damaged ceiling was hand-textured. Being that this is an older home, it's no suprise that ceiling cracks sometimes appear. The texture also helps to hide any flaws. Knowing that they would never match the existing texture, we wanted them to scrape the old texture off and re-texture it. After scraping of the texture, John suggested that we leave the ceiling smooth. I raised my concerns about the possibility of cracking along seams and he assured me that it won't happen. Well, within 1 month of the job completion I do see a crack along the drywall seam that they repaired.
John did an excellent job on the installation of the wooden handrails and spindles on the outdoor porch stairs. Also, the door casing and the baseboard molding and base shoe in our entryway look great. I was very pleased with the outcome in this area.
I was also satisfied with the installation and repair of the toilets and water supply line.
During our initial walk through, I stressed to John the importance to me that the beautiful dark woodwork in the living room remain free of paint. There are nice wide casings around the doors and windows and wonderfully high baseboards, all in a dark mahogany. I made it a point to tell him my concerns but he did not give it much attention. They did use painter's tape around the woodwork, but any paint that bled underneath the tape was not removed. Nor was any fine paint speckles from using the roller. John's son painted the living room walls and did a very poor job. Anyone who as ever painted knows that once the paint is starting to dry, you cannot keep touching it up with the roller. I have these and quot;touch-upand quot; spots visible all over my living room.
Lastly, the broken tile shelf in the shower.... I started off with only 1 broken shelf. In trying to remove the shelf, John nicked and damaged 4 surrounding tiles. It wasn't the kind of damage that you really had to look for...it was OBVIOUS! When we looked at the and quot;completedand quot; job, we couldn't believe that he expected that we would be OK with what was done. Luckily, I had some left-over tiles in the basement. John removed the tiles that he had damaged, but in the process-damaged the good tiles surrounding those!I now have 7 tiles that have small nicks in them. Also, the new tiles he installed do not lay as flat as the original tiles. Clearly, tile repair is not his strong suit.
I would never hire them to do more work for me in the future.

They were recommended by our neighbors but I have not had any work completed and we had contacted them because we wanted to go in to kitchen remodeling, we just wanted to get ideas and we wanted them to come out and get some measurements and they could get us some ideas and some information. we never had from hem again. but we did not call them back and we had other things that took priority over this. We were sought of disappointed that they never called us back. He was very knowledgeable, very friendly , it was like he knew what he was doing and he was one of the owners and he was giving us some good ideas just fine. The experience was positive but the follow up was not good.

It went very well, they were professional at the job. They were flexible with time, what helped a lot. They put flooring on the bathroom floor perfectly and they put the bathtub, vanity, and painted the bathroom walls all without imperfection. With the kitchen they put up granite counter top with the  sink  and kitchen cabinets. They did a very good job at that too, they cleaned up after themselves after the work was done, they cleaned up everyday and the price they charged is very well reasonable.

My client is purchasing a home, and has an accepted and signed contract but the type of loan we are doing is renovation so we needed estimates for the work and would pick from those estimates for the work.  I left a message yesterday around 1:00 pm and did not get a call back.  Called today at 11:00 and was told that we would have to be charged for estimate because the home is not purchased yet.  Not sure what difference does that make, considering there is a signed and accepted contract and just like any homeowner would need to estimates to compare.  I think that is unprofessional and won't be using or recommending this company.

When I contacted Barney I had not made any choices of materials, etc.  He came out and we discussed what I thought I wanted and he e-mailed me an estimate the next day.  We added the in-floor heating element and came to an agreement.  Barney suggested a couple of tile suppliers and sources for the vanity/sink, toilet and faucets.  We agreed that when I had the tile selected and the other items on-site I would contact him for a start date.  It took me a few weeks to get that done and I so appreciated that he was helpful and understanding about how long it took me to do that.  Once the tile came in we agreed on a start date and the job was done with only a day or two over the 6 day estimate due to the need to re-route some supply lines..Barney let me know when to expect him and/or the plumber & electrician. We had only 1 day of miscommunication on schedule and he apologized for that - he ran into a problem on another job that took longer than he expected.  They were all friendly and courteous and considerate. He kept me informed of the progress and steps that needed to be done and we worked out when I could get in there to do the painting (my choice).  They cleaned up each night (especially appreciated since we were still using the bedroom).  They also worked around my very skittish cat by closing off the bedroom/bathroom and using the deck entrance to the bedroom/bath.After the work was completed we did have one problem with a leak from the shower door frame and Barney came out the next day and fixed that.Barney is a perfectionist with the tile work - layout, pattern, even the grout work is perfect - I'm so glad I opted for the clear glass doors so the shower and floor are the focus..  I splurged on the tile (over my planned budget but I loved it) and Barney's work made it so worth it.I still have another bath to re-do and I will definitely have Barney do it.

Overall experience not good I kept in contact with this company for months until my tiles came in
When it was time to do the work right before Christmas he bailed saying he had a bigger job worth more money that needed to be done with that he walked right out the door, leaving someone to install tiles.
We took what we could get at that time so close to christmas the old tiles had already been taken out  by us on  one side of the wall only.  So like I said it being so close to christmas and a house full of people we allowed for the tiles to be installed.
Not a good job on the tiles after christmas the mistakes that had been made were corrected at that time through someone else.
