    Callahan Painting & Home Improvements
I needed to have porch railings installed on the house as a contingency for its sale. Jimmy was quick to respond and had his crew over to the house in a couple days. The workmanship was outstanding. Very happy with the results.

    A-1 Home Repair
The whole thing went horrible. I had two doors to fall off the hinges. The doors are cracking on the side. Chopped up my door frame. Whites spots throughout the paint job. Drywall work were painted when the mudding was still wet. Now the mudding is cracking.

    Handy Matt LLC
It could not have gone any better. Matt agreed to do the work, he called on his way over, he showed up when he said he would (a lot of contractors can't even do that much) and he did a good job. I would hire him again.

    Neatnics The Home Repair Co
He is wonderful. He had to come back the second day based on the other things I wanted done. He worked his full day and I feel like I got my $600 worth. He truly was excellent in all regards. He was courteous, prompt and had the other tools he needed. He was most accommodating. When he was disassembling the sink in the bathroom, he said to me that these sink fixtures probably ought to be replaced. He said that the Moen faucets had a life time warranty. He contacted the Moen people himself and had them send me new faucets to my home. I would recommend this guy to anybody who needs a handyman because he does have a very comprehensive skills set. I wouldn't hesitate to have him back. When I get my bathroom team and I am ready to put my vanity and stuff back in, he is the man I am going to call.

    American Home Shield Home Warranty
I do not usually leave negative reviews but I felt I needed to make an exception with AHS.  I had a terrible experience with American Home Shield home warranty (in the Ohio region).  They were rude, dishonest at times, took forever to respond to requests, were inflexible, and hung up on me numerous times after lengthy holds on my calls. Their customer service and repairs were a real failure.  They are one of the worst companies I've ever worked with.  I'm surprised they are still in business with such poor, corrupt and offensive practices.  The contractors they send out seem to often be questionable for many reasons.  I can find better, more reliable, way more responsive, and cheaper contractors on angles list and similar sites for all my home repair needs than I ever got from AHS.  On one occasion, I had an AHS contractor come out to check out my gas furnaces in my duplex before the winter which were under their home warranty and clearly both had died and needed replaced.  They charged me the $75 co-pay for each furnace for him to come out and he said that it was my fault because there were a couple loose screws on the cover plates and then he just left without doing anything.  This is ridiculous so I hired my own contractor to get a second opinion.  He said the loose screws had nothing to do with it.  They both had major internal problems and he condemned them as unsafe to even turn on again with a high risk of blowing up or burning down the house.  He said that the AHS contractor was trying to get AHS off the hook for fulfilling their contract obligations on this which they often do.  When I contacted AHS about this it took me months to get through to a manager (with winter looming) as their customer service people had black listed me and would hang up on me after an hour or longer on hold.  It took me over a half dozen calls over the course of a month to finally get to talk to a manager and boy was I mad by then and they never apologized for their atrocious treatment.
It was only after I got a lawyer involved that they started to speak with me again and try to resolve my problem.  They then sent another one of their contractors out and he verified my contractor's report and with another co-pay fee.  They said I had an option then of letting their contractor replace them (not that I'll ever trust one of their contractors again though) or I could take the cash out option which I asked for instead.  However, the cash out option was low balled with an inferior gas furnace that they said they got wholesale for about one-third the price that cheapest unit actually costs and that is all they would pay for the cash out option which only covered one-third the cost of replacing them with a decent unit similar to what I had (GE brand).
I had another situation where my dishwasher was leaking.  They sent out a contractor who did a good job fixing it for the $75 co-pay but it also took a long time for them to respond.  Their contractors seem to either be in cahoots with AHS to rip off their customers or contractors who take forever to get to you and do a so-so job as they put their regular contractors first instead of these one-off AHS jobs.  I felt cheated, betrayed and abused by AHS and their schemes and that is why they deserve the F rating overall.  Once I got the lawyer involved they did finally pay a small portion of the furnaces and started to be somewhat courteous and work with me a bit but they always took forever with very long hold times, always looking for loop-holes and ways to stiff the customer, would be rude, dragging their feet in hopes you'll give up on getting help from them, and often acted like no one was interested in helping their customers.  I would avoid AHS at all costs and recommend that a consumer advocacy group do an investigation on their corrupt practices of regularly taking customers for a ride (see their numerous F ratings on angles list and other review sites backing this up).  I will not do business with this company again.

    ESV Handicraft Co
Excellent.  Eric came for an estimate and was very patient and thorough.  He's a great listener and lets you talk through what you'd like to see have done.   On the day the work was schedule, Eric and his brother came together and prepped most of the painting, painted the ceiling, and installed the fan..  Eric came by himself to finish up on day two. It's obvious that Eric has training as a painter--eight years in painters' union--since he's efficient and skilled in what he does. He even bought the cap molding, spackle, and whatever he needed to even out the plaster  (We had the paint).  I definitely would use this company again.  In fact, I just emailed him for an estimate to have  work on our downstairs's bathroom.

A pleasure to work with Abe. Arrived at promised time. Both fans were installed in allotted time. Good workmanship.  Abe was very knowledgeable in what needed to be done. Had all required tools with him so there were no delays. Job required crawling up in attic space for attachments & connections. Very tight area.  All connections were made.  Fans look and work great.   Abe also pointed out other issues within the house that needed to be addressed and corrected. Offered his assistance  in taking care of problems.   Very customer friendly personality.

    The House Doctors
It didn’t go too well.  I was unable to get ahold of him before I purchased the Deal.  We wanted him to replace the wood ladder that goes up to the attic with an aluminum ladder. When he finally came, he told us that he couldn’t perform the service we wanted, so he patched two small holes in the wall.  That went well.  It took him about an hour and then he left.

    The House Doctors
I bought the deal on Thursday 4/10, indicating I wanted the service any time from Tuesday 4/15 thru Thursday 4/17. I got in contact with The House Doctors/Bob Vechio Saturday, 4/12 giving my phone number. Bob Vechhio never called me though I left two voice mails for him on two separate days during the time period I had wanted the service.

    father and son handymen llc
Paul was great. He showed up at the times he said he would be there and provided me with a complete description of the work and repairs that needed to be done. He provided a fair price. The work was performed in a timely fashion and as stated. The worksite was left clean and a follow up visit was done to ensure the repairs were done to my expectations. Paul and his roofer were great to work with, friendly, honest, fair and professional. Would definitely recommend to others!
