Gas Leak Repair reviews in University Heights

  • Mr Conti called back promptly and came out a day or two after my initial phone call regarding a gas line valve that I wanted to change. The gas line ultimately didn't need to be serviced but he looked at the garage disposal which had burnt out bearings and was rusted. He ordered the high end disposal that we chose and came back and installed the disposal, removed the old one and did some additional toilet repairs that we needed. Mr. Conti is very cordial and professional and works quickly and efficiently. He also is knowledgable and gives good advice about possible economical solutions to plumbing problems. His charges are reasonable and fair. We plan on using his services in the future and highly recommend him.

  • Initially I searched for a certified plumber for re-routing the outdoors gas line (including city permit, and city inspection). I had two offers from which I chose Wyatt Works: first, because their offer was 2/3 of the other one; second, because they didn't charge me for the visit and  evaluation of the project (as other one did).
Meanwhile the very old water heater (~20 years old A.O.Smith 50 gal.) started to leak, so I searched again for two offers - initially I looked for A.O.Smith local providers and got an quote from one of them. Their response was quick, but not as quick as Wyatt Works (which was immediate). I didn't get A.O Smith though, Wyatt installed me a Bradford White with the same specs and warranty (and $100 less).
I'm very satisfied with the outcome! City inspector was also impressed with a neat installation of the gas line!
    Many thanks, Luke and Pete!

  • Since I had done quite a bit of research on heating and cooling systems, I was aware of  which systems were considered the best. I got estimates from three other providers, but Greg Gorjanac's was by far the most professional and detailed.  One other gave me an estimate  that was far higher, and another gave me a scribbled hand written estimate which he took with him.  Greg Gorjanac also gave me information on rebates and provided a much more efficient  system for about the same cost as my other estimates.
The installers arrived on time, were very professional and cleaned up behind themselves.  They explained what they were doing, answered my questions, and addressed my concerns.  They added extra vents (not on the original estimate) to help heat the basement area when I expressed a concern about that area being too cold.  They also corrected a number of problems with the old systems by rerouting pipes had been installed incorrectly with the old furnaces and air conditioners.  They also corrected problems with a gas line as well.  They finished on time which was great since I was having two complete systems installed.  When they were finished they went over system operations and answered all questions.  Greg Gorjanac also came out several times to check the work and answer any of my questions.   I am very pleased with the quality of the new systems.  The air is much fresher and cleaner.
I really feel that though they were not the largest company listed, I got much more quality and personal service.  My calls were answered promptly, and I feel I got two much higher quality systems for a very fair price.

  • Elie is fair, does great work, and gets the job done quickly.  I had a cast iron waste pipe in the basement of my nearly 100-year-old house that was rusty and leaking. He cut it out and replaced it and fixed the problem.  I also had him install a gas line to my dryer. Extremely satisfied.

  • Elie is very pleasant and personable.  He kept me informed regarding the time of the appointment.  The work was performed quickly and in a professional manner.  I will definitely call him again.

  • The gas was found and tested by the tech. Gas leak was minor, Tech tightened the pipes and re-tested for leak, all was clear.
The service call was done as scheduled and the communication leading to the call was as promised. The tech was knowledgeable and friendly and did not try to up-charge the call with any other unnecessary services.
I would recommend and use again.

  • I smelled gas in the house and when I had the gas company come out they shut off the gas to the house because of leaks.  This was in the middle of winter.  Drew Corsillo, who I have used before for other jobs gave me an immediate appointment and fixed the problem.  The gas company came back out, determined that the problem had been corrected and turned the gas back on.

  • EXCELLENT!!!    ...Being relatively new to Ohio, I had no idea whom to call.  I was nervous about hiring someone who either wouldn't know what they were doing, or who would hugely overcharge me, or both.  I found 'A to Z' on Angie's list and based on the great reviews, I decided to give them a call.  Because of my schedule, I was hoping for an appointment any time from Tuesday through Thursday.  My call was answered by a very pleasant woman (Elise?) who told me that the best day for my appointment would be a Monday since that was the day that best allowed the time needed for the work.  Though Monday was not the best day for me, I took the appointment.  Realizing a few days later that Monday simply would not work for me, I called back to reschedule and got their voice mail.  When Sunday evening rolled around and I still had not received a call back, I decided to call again to leave a message cancelling my appointment so that their plumber would not make a wasted trip.  I figured I would reschedule later during regular business hours.  So, at 9:30pm on a Sunday night, I phoned 'A to Z' to leave a message.  To my horror, someone actually said 'Hello?'  I could tell this wasn't an answering service and so I was mortified to have bothered this person at 9:30 pm on a Sunday night.  I immediately began apologizing.  Well, the person who answered was 'Rachel', one of the owners.  She was extremely nice, totally unbothered by the hour of my call, and super-friendly.  She welcomed me to Ohio, chatted with me extensively, and then rescheduled my appointment.

On the day of my appointment, a really wonderful guy named David showed up at my door.  He was extremely knowledgeable & professional & nice, and was extremely patient, thoroughly answering all of my questions.  He didn't try to inflate my price but he did give me quotes that included 'worst case scenario', and he kept me informed every step of the way.  He unclogged the toilet which proved to be the simplest and least expensive solution to the clog and not the 'worst case' problem.  He then spent a significant amount of time trying to find the mystery gas line that led outside from my basement, explaining that he did not want to take the easy route & simply disconnect the line if it could be used by me later for something like a gas grill.  When after an exhaustive search, the gas line could not be located in my back yard, he explained that the connection inside would need to be cut & capped for safety.  He then told me that he did not have all of the parts on his truck that were needed to properly cap the line.  Since it was nearing 4pm, I disappointedly expected him to say he would come back in a few days or a few weeks to finish the job.  Instead he told me he would be back in 30 minutes with the necessary parts.  David returned promptly and proceeded to work in my basement for another couple of hours.  He didn't rush through things to get home to his dinner.  When he was done, he thoroughly cleaned up after himself and reviewed the work with me.  Though the final total of my bill was more than I had initially expected to spend, I had zero upset or regret because I feel the service I received was well worth the price and that the price, which was clearly explained to me by David before he did the work, was extremely fair.  Everything he worked on has worked beautifully since.  I was so extremely pleased with David in particular, that I called the office as soon as he left to let Rachel, the owner, know.  I sure hope she received my message.  David was wonderful, was one of the best service providers I've ever had in my home, and I look forward to using him again in the future.  I plan to specifically ask for him.  I would be comfortable having him in my home & performing work for me again at any time.  He is very knowledgeable, professional, and approachable and he  makes the effort to communicate well & explain everything he's doing.

  • My experience with Approved Plumbing was great!! I met with the owner, Dennis Schlekie, multiple times to go over the job. It was my first big job and Dennis helped walk me through it all of the way. We installed a brand new bathroom on the second floor. They ran new piping, and water lines to the basement. They built walls and installed a new shower, toilet and vanity. On the first floor they completely remolded the bathroom - new tub, surrond, vanity, and toilet. The basement had a few gas leaks that were replaced. They also removed a couple of pipes that weren't needed. In the basement bathroom they replaced a lot of piping and added a couple of fixtures. They replaced the water heater too. IT runs great. They did a few extra things throughout the job that I didn't ask or think about doing... for free. It was nice to have someone go the extra length without having to ask them. Overall approved plumbing did a fantastic job and I will definitely hire them again.

  • He responded quickly to my call and came out the same day. He arrived promptly and stayed several hours. I also  had him snake a bathroom sink drain while he was there. He had to replace part of the drain pipe fixture. His work was professional and good. When the gas company came out and found a new unrelated issue, Elie returned the next day and braced a gas pipe to the ceiling and lit the pilot lights on the appliances. He also took the time to snake my downstairs utility tub. He charged me nothing for the second visit. He price was very reasonable and I plan to have him back to install a new water heater in a few months.
