  • They completed the job within four days of notification that I wanted them to do the work.  They completed it before we got home (they were early) and it looks beautiful.  They even ended up raising an extra block of concrete for no charge.  I got several estimates and they were half the price of the others!

  • The crew arrived when they said they would. They explained exactly what they were going to do and made suggestions on a couple other areas for us to consider leveling.  But they weren't pushy in their pitch - very professional and friendly.  I had them come back around 60 days after the fact to look at one minor spot in the driveway.  The corner was not at the same level as the adjacent corner, but it was very minor.  My primary concern was whether it would re-settle by next year and I wanted to get their opinion.  They came back out within a couple days of my call and reassured me that the corner would not settle further, and went ahead and pumped a little more cement underneath to get it even.
I was very pleased with their work and their willingness to come back out.  I found their fees to be competitive with other area providers of this service.

  • I received a quote within 2 days. Price was very good even though it was a small job. They scheduled it within a week with some other work their company was doing in the area. Seemed like a very reasonable approach to satisfy both my needs and the company. Looks great. I would highly recommend them

  • I contacted this contractor and another one with good Angie's List ratings. The other guy's estimate was almost double, but included a 10-year warranty versus 18-months for Slab Masters. I decided to go the less expensive route, figuring my issues were not particularly bad. Also Slab Masters seemed anxious for the work and said they could fit it in within two weeks, essentially at the end of the season. I felt that their professionalism was somewhat lacking as they did not call ahead to say when they would be doing my work; instead they just showed up late one afternoon and started working. I was outside doing yard work. Three of them did the work, including the owner, Ken. The equipment and workers were pretty shabby looking, which may be expected considering the work they do, but I think they could improve. As for the work, Ken drilled the holes and led the effort. He was very efficient and when a problem arose, he knew immediately what to do. The slabs were not rising initially, so he used hand-held concrete saw to free the slabs at the construction joint. It worked just fine. The finished job is pretty satisfactory, though I think the slabs by the garage should have been raised just a bit more to be fully level with the adjacent slabs. I'm sure my snowblower won't notice, which was the main objective of this fix. A fair amount of residual grout leaked out onto the street where the truck and mixer were located. They made some effort to wash the material away with a hose, but there is still material along the curb a month later. Perhaps most disappointing is that neither contractor offered service to fill the big cracks in the construction joints in my driveway. They said that I could do that myself with materials from Home Depot. Ken said that he would contact me with the name of one of his guys that could do it for me, but that never happened. As an aside, I was able to do the work myself with materials from Home Depot, but it took the better part of a day and I made some mistakes.

  • We commissioned Tony Nero because he did quality work on our concrete driveway for a fair price several years ago. He gave us an estimate on price and schedule. We agreed, understanding that the degree of leveling may require more material. We called him several times to nail down a date, which was maybe next week. We waited several weeks. Finally, we had a date. His crew arrived, but Tony had some personal issues to deal with and was unable to supervise until later in the day. The floor was fairly level and needed only slight adjustment for the flooring. The finish was rough and made it difficult to live with until the floor was able to be installed. The edges were very rough.

  • Great job, Great crew, and the results are better than I expected They obviously know what they are doing. They were recommended to me by 2 other individuals in my neighborhood.
