    Logan A/C & Heat Services
Great. Shane and Daniel were the most professional people that has ever done any work for me. And believe me I have had plenty in the last 50 years. They got right to work and got the job done, cleaned up, taught me all about my new furnace, thermostat and A/C. They also went over all my paper work. I didnt have to ask any questions about anything because they already explained everything I would have had a question to ask.

    Logan A/C & Heat Services
On Saturday we had no heat and had an electrical smell from the furnace when we got home from work. Call Logans they said they do come to Troy,OH and I scheduled for them to come diagnose and repair what is wrong. Received an email and text stating we had a 7pm time slot appointment set, by 7am Sunday morning still no call, no email, no text and no heat. Very unhappy was going to be potential customer, not now

Fantastic. Workers were very polite, professional and answered any and all questions that I had. They explained what they were going to do prior to doing it to ensure that I was getting what I wanted. When I got the estimate it was a very informational discussion and I was given multiple options to accomplish what I was wanting. It was nice to be able to have a choice. In addition, I was wanting to add something that didn't make good sense to them, they explained why it wasn't the best way to do it and explained the cost of it an other options.

    B&K Heating Inc.
On our first call to B& K heating our heat was completely out. We had purchased the new furnace from them two years previously. We were first told that they would have someone out the next day to repair. They called at noon on the next day and said that they didn't know when someone would be available to get out there - reason was because there were so many people without heat. I told them we had no heat and i was told that it was first come first serve. Next day comes and I call in the morning to see when my appointment might be. Phone number didn't work - was out of service. Went to the website and there was a different phone number - but it had been disconnected. I kept calling the first number and finally got someone to answer. They promised someone the next day. Next day arrives - technician arrives at 4pm in the afternoon. States that he does not have the part - and will have to come back tomorrow. Some calls us the next morning and says that they have to special order the part and it will be a week. Finally got the furnace fixed and it is the next winter. Same problem occurs - technician arrives and states that it was not fixed right the last time and by the way there is something else wrong with the internal unit PLUS the feet are coming off the outside unit. We told him to replace everything and he informed us that it was not covered in the warranty that we thought we had purchased. Moving on - it is now six months later. A/C is running all the time (same unit) took three days to get someone out there - technician insists it is the thermostat that is broken even though it had been replaced six months ago. Two days later it is in stock and another tech comes out to install it. He looks at the thermostat and states that it isn't broken, but it is a compressor that is broken. (this is the same compressor we had replaced two years previously) My husband called the office to state that he thinks we receieved a "lemon" for a furnace and was told "sorry - we can't help you we have had a lot of problems with that model". We recently had another new gas furnace installed - got tired of dealing with the old unit. new company was prompt, professional and readily available when we had call-backs. DO NOT USE B&K HEATING.

We had an issue between the time they did the install and the time we needed it serviced. One of the partners had left the company and apparently there was an issues with the other partner with the service people getting along with them and most of them had left. They were very short handed when we needed service, and so we had an extended wait period in the middle of winter when it was cold. The guy that came out wasn't familiar with the system and made multiple calls for them to get it figured out, eventually the service manager came out and was able to get it fixed.

    Detmer And Sons Inc

The people we were using were bought out and they transferred all their other workers over to a guy in Dayton. We are continuing to have the same service, we just have it under a different name. I have a contract so they come out every year, review, check my boiler and air conditioning and all that. They put in my air conditioning. They do my yearly maintenance, inspections and any problems we have. They always come out and they are always good. I pay for a home twice-a-year inspection. I think I pay a couple of hundred dollars a year and they come out, double check everything, replace parts and do all that needs to be done. That was part of my home-warranty type thing.

    Ed's Heating Cooling Plumbing Electric
My big issue with Ed?s Heating and Plumbing is the fact that I called Mike the service manager to get an idea of what it would
cost to have them install and new sump pump system that I purchased. Mike told me that they charge $98/hour and that a simple sump pump installation would not take more than an hour.  I went on further to confirm by asking ?so I would be looking at right around $100 total to have this system installed? his response was ?yes that is correct?.  That seemed totally fair to me so I hired
them.  They sent a plumber out a week later and was very helpful and informative ? great experience with the plumber.  He was able to install my system within an hour, and when I got my bill it was for $228 ($218 after the Angies list discount).  When I asked the guy why my bill was so expensive, and that I was quoted $98, he explained that the $98 was just the service call to have him come out, and the other $128 was for the parts and labor.  Now I provided all the parts, the only part they provided was a silent check valve which cost between $10-20 depending where you buy it.   I wasn?t going to argue with the plumber who just completed the work, so I wrote him a check.  When I called Mike to see what the deal was, he changed his story and basically told me this is the correct charge.  So just a heads up to anyone that wants to have a sump pump installed, I advise you to look elsewhere unless you think paying someone $230 to install a sumppump within an hour is in line.  I?m not one to complain about money, but when
you get quoted one price by the plumbing manager, and then its more than double that, I have an issue.  And that?s what Angies list is for.

    Ed's Heating Cooling Plumbing Electric

Good electrical work on front doorbell and miscellaneous wiring cleanup, making sure specific outlets were functional and properly grounded.

Plumbing:  solved leak at upstairs toilet leaking down into garage; source of leak required investigation & assessment.  Additional plumbing work on toilets and validation of no leaks between house and exterior sprinkler system was very good.

Ed's was prompt, professional, did what they said they were going to do, and was successful with time-efficient investigation and solution of problems.

    Edington Heating & Cooling

I called Edington on 1/19/16 based on a recommendation from my brother to come in and take a look at my furnace. The furnace was not running, and is quite old. I suspected that I needed a new furnace, but wanted a professional to come out to confirm death of existing / quote me a new one. During the call, I informed the service dispatcher on the phone that I had several electric space heaters that made this a non-emergency call (being the middle of Jan, I felt it to be prudent information), and that I wanted to make an appointment to have someone come out. After discussing options we settled on a 3:30pm appointment that would occur the following day. In the discussion with the Edington rep, I informed him that I would be taking off work early to ensure that someone would be there, and asked him to have the tech call me at my cell phone number when he was close to arriving, which I provided, along with my office phone number that I asked to be used if anyone needed to speak with me before the afternoon of the appointment. The next day comes, I take off work halfway through the day and get home by 3:15, and wait until 3:45 until I called Edington. I did not get anyone to answer the phone, and left a polite message basically saying, my name, phone number, address, etc, that I had a 3:30 appointment, and that I just wanted to call and see when they thought the tech might be by my home. I get that there are windows of time at play most of the time with service tech calls, so I patiently waited for about 20 minutes, and called back, being sent to the answering machine again, but not leaving a message. I then called back about every 10 minutes, knowing that the office closed at 5pm, never receiving an answer from anyone, or a returned phone call from my earlier message. I double checked that I had been calling the correct phone number several times, even though the answering machine message I kept getting clearly identified it as the correct place to be calling, and the number was correct. I again called just after 5pm to the office, and was automatically forwarded on to what I perceived as a manager's cell phone, which I based upon the voice mail message, which did identify him as being with Edington. I left a message on this voice mail service again explaining the situation, and asking for a call back.

To date, no one from Edington has returned my phone calls, or my messages regarding their missing of my appointment. So, while I have no applicable thoughts on their pricing, or quality of service, their professionalism, punctuality, and responsiveness is sub par. I can understand mis-noting a phone number, or possibly some other outlying event that made it impossible to make my appointment. However, not returning two different voice mails, left on two different voicemail services, not answering the office phone for an hour and half, and just not bothering to call to apologize for wasting my time is extraordinarily unprofessional.

    Ed's Heating Cooling Plumbing Electric
I called them and they came right out. We always have our furnace inspected twice a year. For last 14 years, they've always come out and done an excellent job. I had my furnace scheduled, to have it inspected, in December. So he came out in October and fixed it and didn't charge anything. He did everything else and cleaned it up. He was there when we needed him and he fixed things very reasonably.
