They charge more than the folks who usually do it but the job was perfect and most people just send one guy. ADoctor Flue, inc.Just received 2 phone calls from Office Manager and I thought she was calling in relation to my comments above regarding her curtness on the phone to me when I called regarding the time limit of response from their office for the proposal of all the services to be completed. After 2 weeks (which they said it would take to receive all the parts once ordered and I did not have a phone call, I called their office after finding a proposal sent via e-mail with a 5 day term for response and this was 10 days later. She never apologized for the mix-up and led me to believe that it was my fault that nothing was followed thru on. There were no instructions on the e-mail for how to process and I had never received a proposal over e-mail without a heads up phone call or lack of directions for filling out. When she called this week reading my review, I thought she was calling to apologize for her curtness. Again she did not accept any responsibility for the breakdown of communication, but addressed the grade level I gave which somehow did not record correctly as I knew I had given them an A because the servicing of my FP issues by the service guys was top drawer and that is A number 1 issue when searching for quality work. The A is for the guys who came to repair the FP, They were top drawer in knowledge, inspection and servicing. You definitely want these guys to be the ones who do your work. As for the Office Manager, people reviewing previous customers opinion on how their services were handled, need to be aware of how she handled the communication process for the proposal as I am sure I am not the only customer that has been treated as if I did something wrong. She needs to correct herself, a little apology goes a long way and prevents bad feelings with her customers. I gave her Grace by saying I was not sure who called me and she assured me it would have been her that responded to my phone call. Sincerely, JanetRB- Janet R B.

ADoctor Flue, inc.My first chimney inspection was Jan 2013 after we moved into this new home. The first team recommended we have the chimney inspected again during this summer after our first use. I scheduled the 2nd inspection for July 2013 and another team came out. The job should have cost about $188, but the 2nd team saw there was no need for this second inspection and gave me half off. I found them to be very honest and apologetic for having done this second visit when it was not really needed at all. I felt the company showed integrity when they could have easily said nothing and taken the full amount. THANK YOU FOR THE HONESTY!!!- Beatriz S.

ADoctor Flue, inc.This company is impressive. The appointment process on the phone was with a live, intelligent lady. They booked the appointment and confirmed the day before by phone and email. The crew arrived as scheduled. The Truck was spotless and clean---indicating attention to detail. Mike and Cavin had uniforms on and were clean, polite and professional. They booted their feet to protect the floors. They laid down cover ups on the word floor and got right to work. They cleaned the grated glass screens to a shine. They tested the lines and explained the results. They climbed the roof and inspected the vents. Once completed, they sent my email photos of all they did and an inspection report. They were personable and professional. The charges were more than fair considering the drive from Michigan and two service men. Entire service was done in an hour and 10 minutes. I have a hunting cabin in Michigan and will book them to do work there in the summer. Impressive small business!- Jeff B.

No hard sell, punctual, lots of explanations and straightforward, clear comparisons between brands and models. Because existing chimney connector dimension didn't optimally match my stove selection dimension, Kevon fabricated a perfect platform for the stove after carefully verifying field measurements. A plus: Kevon was able to honor my request for an expedited delivery and installation. The stove cost was comparable to the best cost I found from online vendors for the same make and model stove. This experience was excellent in every way. The end result: very pleased, happy to recommend Dr. Flue, and would do business with them again.- Keith Z.

AI was extremely impressed from my first contact with the office through the service. The office staff was very pleasant and efficient. The agent walked me through every step and answered all of my questions. The techs were very pleasant, as well. One could tell that they loved their job. The were neat and clean and extremely efficient and knowledgeable. They patiently answered all of our questions. They even answered our call after leaving our appointment and offered to come back. The price was very reasonable...and we will be using them again, when we convert our other fireplace!!!

DSales person was misleading by promising the garage door opener to be functional after the install. Installers replaced the door on Friday and as the sales person did not indicate that a broken pulley needs to be replaced - they did not have the part with them. They promised to exchange the pulley and reconnect the door to the opener early next week leaving us without garage door opener over the weekend - with a door without external handle or lock - so pretty inconvenient after paying $540. Nobody called us on Monday and upon our complaints, we were told that the exchange of the pulley (a $7 part) would be a $150 service fee. I was considering having them drive out after I exchanged the pulley (an easy 3 minute repair) as the reconnect was explicitly part of the contract but as they insisted on the pulley repair being not part of the contract I told them to forget it. Overall a petty, unprofessional company that I would not recommend!

FTerrible. I usually check online reviews for services I use but this outfit was referred to me by a friend of a friend. Sadly for me I didn't check until after I paid the down payment. I found nothing but 1 star reviews. For good reason. My project was a foundation for a 3 car garage. It took them two and a half months to do a 3-5 day job. (He was busy fishing and hunting) The concrete is wavy, not level, not square. The finish is supposed to be smooth. It is filled with swirl marks. I could go on and on. I questioned him about all of these things along the way and got nothing but excuses and lies. I've talked to other contractors and the reason bottom feeders like this are even in business is because the good ones are booked months in advance. Choose any company other then this one and you will be better off.
