    BEST RE-CONSTRUCTION INC
Last winter/spring, we had Brett Scott and his company, BEST Re-construction, do an extensive remodel of our newly purchased home. They did a great job. Brett often didnt return phone calls sometimes taking a week or more to reply. But the crew always got the job done. That summer, we decided to renovate our backyard. On July 31, 2018, we received a bid via email from Brett Scott of BEST Re-construction. He proposed to start the work within 2 weeks. We decided to go with BEST Re-construction, mainly because wed had a good experience with them. This was in August of last year. Brett later said the crew was needed on another job and it was too hot to work outside. He said theyd be back in September to finish our job. September came and went, then October came and they worked on the project for a day or two, then told us it was too cold to continue with the project ~ it would have to wait for spring. Were still waiting. Its been almost a year. We paid BEST Re-construction for the work completed so far, then Brett asked us for an additional $3,000 to purchase the pavers. WE HAVENT SEEN ANYONE from BEST Re-construction SINCE. Weve called repeatedly and no one returns our calls. Now, we have an awful mess in our backyard with no end in sight. We also called the Professional Remodelers Organization, where we originally found BEST Re-constructions name. We explained the situation and they also tried to contact Brett Scott but were unable to reach anyone associated with the company.

Horrible!!! I have to file a lawsuit. One of the worst experiences ever! TOTAL FRAUD!!! Its just too much to write and I just get upset even thinking about it. Angies list needs to do credit checks because the guy has nothing to sue for cause he has no money.

    Mortar It Up Masonry Llc
Everything went very well. We sent Michael pictures of what needed to be done. He gave us a quote. We later asked him to come onsite to firm up the quote, which he did, and the price was the same. He stated he was booked some time out, but said he sometimes has cancellations. He contacted us and stated he indeed had a cancellation, so was able to start the next day. He started the work, even without a deposit, since it was short notice, and we were still away, out of town. We were trying to decide what to do for railing, and had captured quotes from supply companies for replacement aluminum or steel materials, but they seemed high. We asked Michael for his thoughts. He checked a hardware store for us, sent us pictures, and then sent us the part number/SKU's from the store. We paid the store directly, and he picked up the materials. The work is almost done, but all has gone great thus far, and we see no reason why it won't complete with great success.

    Grounds One
I have no problem with the work, materials, cost and the professionalism of the repairmen. Chris, especially, headed the team and they were prompt, efficient and reliable. The workmanship and finish product met expectations. My problem was with management - Jacob in particular: didn't return calls to answer questions about service and costs relative to quote, voice mailbox was full, and when asked for a painting quote, he (Jacob) gave one without even seeing or measuring the project.

The actual work went well; the workmen were prompt, neat in their work, organized, flexible in handling some of the issues and very knowledgeable. My problem is with management: no return phone calls, voice mail was full, the project estimate was missing an important item (credit applied), and finally, when asked for an additional estimate to cover painting, the operations manager and I arranged for site meeting. That was overruled by the owner; he sent a sight-unseen estimate that covered the entire house versus the specific project I had in mind.

A+ Building Maintenance & Home Repair
The entire job went wonderfully. The carpenters were great guys and extremely hard working. They jacked up and supported the roof over the front porch and did a complete tear off of the front porch down to the foundation and then rebuilt the entire front porch in only two and a half days. They did excellent work with precisely cut mitered corners, routered edges, and many touches above and beyond a standard rebuild not to mention installing a glass block window below the porch and all without disturbing any of the plants my wife had planted all the way around the porch! Before they left they did a beautiful job of cleaning up. We could not be happier with every aspect of the job and it looks much better than the original. Everyone I had contact with at A+ were nice and polite people, this company is a pleasure to work with.

A+ Building Maintenance & Home Repair
We had water damage to the front porch and the ceiling of our basement. The whole floor of our open sheets needs to be removed and replaced and the water damage fixed. The professionalism and the knowledge through the estimate person were here to do everything took the time to answer all of our questions and asked many questions and that's why we chose them. They have not completed the work yet; they haven't even started. We were impressed by their thoroughness, their patience that we took, they took the time to answer every single question which we had many. The questions that he had for us and what it is that we want.

They were very professional, and they did everything that we asked them for. They answered all of our questions, but we didn't choose them. My husband was very impressed with the assessment and with the quote. We didn't choose them because we liked the material and the explanation of that with the other company. Both companies were equally impressive. They were thorough. They did not charge us. There was a difference in price, but that is not what swayed us. What swayed us was the first best and last best. Overall, my husband was very impressed.

    All Nu Construction
That was a horrible, horrible, horrible, horrible experience. He picked the time and the day, which was early in the morning and we said fine and we picked a date, Half an hour later and he still isn't heard from. We call his phone that he gave us. He answers the phone right away and is stammering to answer. The question is, are you coming? It was for the estimate for our house. He stammers a little more and then he says, his words were "I'm getting my oil changed and I didn't expect it to take this long." my husband said well, were you not going to call us and let us know. We don't have a problem with you being on your way, and you'll make it in a half an hour. He just started making excuses. My husband said, sorry, if this is how you're going to treat us on an estimate how's the gonna go. He says I can come out tomorrow; he gives us a time and date again. My husband said please don't bother, tomorrow it might be a haircut. He just went into, oh my goodness, how can I help you? He just gave excuses. I thought that was one, unprofessional, two, rude and three, he picked the time and the date, not us. We'll never use him again, if anybody asks me about his construction I would not hesitate if they ask me what I thought of it, terrible.
