    Sharp Paintworx
The most amazing con man you will meet, Brandon Barnard. The references appear amazing, however after you agree to use him almost every fear of having a bad contractor come to life. 1. He claims to be an owner of APEX roofing with a woman (Diane Gabbard) who is non existent and never returned a call or email. 2. All paper work is on Sharp Paint Workx stationary. 3. He showed up with no plan or communication to our beautiful home in Terrace Park. WOW, did he do an amzing con job of lip service on all the details of how he was different etc--- Imagine hearing 5 guys swinging from ropes on a rooftop and the owner of the company does not tell you, reply to any emails, phone calls etc--- 4. He did EXACTLY the opposite of the agreement and we had to talk with his subcontracted crew who had no idea of his agreement. 5. After more than 5 hours he finally called back, acknowledged that he knew all the work was being completed wrong-- but then proceed to "TELL US TO DONT WORRY, HE WILL FIX IT LATER ITS HIS JOB NOT OURS"...... LOL!!! 6. The roof project was started on a day with heavy rain forecasted and the crew had no tarps or preparation. 7. Again, after calls and emails and the involvement of my attorney Landon Barnard was immediately removed from our jobsite. 8. The owner Landon Barnard is argumentative, unprofessional, con man that I would suggest you do not do business with ever......but he certainly is a charmer :)! This is so disheartening that after a promise verbally and in written form a company can be so disruptive to doing something so simple--- do as agreed and you promise. The results are a mess. Rain damage and other things yet to be determined.

Above-and-beyond !! I was introduced to Wolff when I did a major remodel with Neal's Design Remodel on a previous home. They're not inexpensive, but you pretty much get what you pay for in this world. I just built a new home and the painter the builder utilized did a shameful job. Wolff has come in a mere 5 months after I moved in and is doing the job that and lt;shouldand gt; have been done at the time of construction. We all know that staining, painting and caulking are things we live with and see everyday. A bad job can make an expensive home look cheap. I can't say enough about the quality of workmanship exhibited by Wolff. Not only is their work artistry, but the workers are professional, and extremely tidy. I will never use anyone but Wolff in the future!

    Doug Snyder Painting llc
This painter was utilized by my builder in a home I just built.  Not only was the owner of the company nasty and unprofessional, (allowance given for personal problems he was experiencing), but the quality of the work was horrendous.  Sloppy, incomplete paint job inside and out.  No drop cloths were used and paint was all over new hardwood flooring, granite counters, vanity bowls and corian counters.  Staining was uneven and not properly sanded and seal coated.  Some areas of exterior were missed entirely.  Nothing was properly caulked before painting.  Long story short, I had to hire another painting contractor to come in and do the job properly.

Pete Arnold & Co Painting Contractors LTD
Pete Arnold's company was fantastic.  Can't say enough good things.  The guys cleaned the muck and grime off the gutters before painting the trim.  It looks so good.  They also did a fantastic job on our fence and railing projects, which were intricate and time consuming.  Pete's employees were respectful and courteous.  They always stacked their ladders out of view when the work day was done.  Pete called throughout the project and at the conclusion to check on progress and make sure everything was to our liking.  I would highly recommend Pete Arnold and Co.

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY! The owner/painter gave us a fair estimate. He seemed nice and trustworthy. He came out to do the work before we moved in. We had a very specific list of paint colors and even purchased some of the paint. We did all of the prep work (taping, wiping walls, patching walls and sanding them, laying tarps). All he had to do was come in and roll out the walls.
    1. He did not use the colors we chose- he used one color (not one we chose) throughout the entire house and the paint was his left over stock. 2. He sent a friend to finish half of the work.3. One of them (he blamed his buddy) left very large paintbrush marks across most of our walls.4. He only applied one coat so when it is bright outside, you can see through the paint to the old color, 5. He did not paint two of the hallways he claimed to paint6. He used the wrong trim paint (and we even provided the trim paint!). 7. He claimed to have painted all of the trim, which was not true. 8. He did not pull out appliances so now we have to start over.
    Problems with Payment
    1. The night the work was completed, we were out here finishing the floors, and he showed up demanding his $900.
    2. I had the itemized estimate and my husband showed him all of the horrible mistakes. He got defensive and seemed angry but promised to come back out to fix them as soon as he returned from a trip the following week but he needed the money NOW. 3. In the itemized estimate, he
         a.  claimed he was here when he was not (we had other people working in the house too who informed us),
         b. claimed to have used two coats on all of the walls and trim (which was not true) and charged us for the paint as if he had used two coats
         c. charged us for drive time and gas (as two separate charges)
         d. claimed to have painted areas he did not paint.
We paid him in full (because we thought he would be back) and never heard from him again. We called over six or seven times and left messages and he never returned our calls but he did cash the check. That was really dumb of us to give him that and we learned our lesson.
We lost our money and we have to redo the work. We have spoken to a few other people who used him and they have similar stories. One man said he even claimed to be on his way to his house to fix the exterior paint job he messed up and just never showed up and never returned his calls.

I called for an estimate and Shane responded quickly.  He gave us a price and they started the job the following week.  His men were very pleasant and professional.  I had some trouble choosing a color and they were very patient during the process.  I learned that it is a good idea to try out your color choices on your home before choosing.  They looked very different in and out of sunlight.  These painters were meticulous, which we truly appreciated.  I would highly recommend them.

    JMJ Painting
Fantastic!  Brit is professional and personable, a very hard worker, detailed in his work and cleans up the areas thoroughly at the end of each day.  Communicates promptly with any issues that arose, including only painting a small area of the deck stain until I could see what it looked like in case I wanted to add a tint/change the color of the stain (I did and didn't have to buy new stain!).  Thankfully he didn't just stain the whole thing when I wasn't home while quietly thinking to himself "boy, this neon orange probably isn't what she was going for based on the way she was talking, this is a mistake, too bad."  He did all the work himself except the woodwork repairs, and the person he had do that did an excellent job.  He was very flexible in his availability and knew we had a time crunch to get the work done, which he accommodated!  I kept adding jobs in our home to his to-do list / initial estimate and he was happy to make time to get them done promptly as well.

Did not honor %10 discount offered in ad on Angie's List. When reminded was rude or said he had applied discount. In bathroom, base of installed lights smaller than old ones: area spackelled and repainted have totally different surface from existing paint. Also true of switch plate hole repair. Broke 1st hand held shower yet charged for install and removal ($25 ea). Chipped recently painted door and woodwork. Did not clean up spackle dust. Charged $40 to plant mum; did not plant where requested. Tracked insulation from attic in house when installing ceiling fan in bedroom. Covered bed partially with tarp; did not clean up after installation leaving drywall dust, insulation, screws and nuts throughout. !st time light used, chain broke. When advised, he said he'd be there next day; never showed. Insisted curtain rods we'd bought were wrong length. We ret'd and bought length he insisted were correct. These were wrong so he said he would rebuy orig length and return wrong ones. He charged $60 for these and light bulbs for ceiling fan - actual price: 14.95 and 1.98. No prior mention of charging to pick these up. He never returned the rods he insisted were the correct size but used the hardware from them to install the others. Said he'd dispose of intercom; left hidden in garage. Sanded spackel between applications; left spackel dust in 4 rooms. Removed face plate from outlet in den; never repaired wiring; left wiring dangling, plate off. When asked to return to correct other items, joked about leaving faceplate off; never showed. Used shop vac from patio to clean vents. Left shop vac in basement tho aware I am not able to bring it up the stairs. His contractor painted over peeling paint; new paint is peeling. His contractor did not remove weather transmitter from woodwork despite request to Kendal and contractor. Kendal said he would fix; never did. Sealed gutter still leaks. Complained about paint for basement, work of prior painter, did not clean brushes; they are ruined and were new, high end brushes. Neither he or contractor sealed paint well; dried out. No use for touchups. Paint left out doors got rain and leaves in it due to poor seal. I would like him to pay for the fixes since he work is faulty and he promises to show and never does. As his work ages, it does not age well. I would like work to be of a better quality. I will take Kendal to small claims court if need be.
