Tree Service reviews in Tallmadge

They were the cheapest bid and I know the cheapest isn't the best way to go. They cut trees down and turned our backyard into a war zone with ruts everywhere. They blew wood chips into out tree line and left huge piles behind. A huge tree branch fell onto the back of our garage and damaged the roof, wood siding, gutter and downspout while they were cutting the tree down. We were never told about this by Mueller Tree and our neighbor had to tell us about the damage. They left garbage in our yard and when they were grinding a stump they blew wood chunks and damaged our vinyl siding on our house. They even drove through our neighbors yard with their truck when instructed where the property line was. When the owner Matt Mueuller was notified he said he would get it handled. We were made a lot of false promises and they never paid for any of the damages. We left phone messages and text message and no one would call back. Filed a police report and was instructed to go to small claims court. We won our small claims court case against them and they still never paid. This is a very dishonest company and should be avoided at all cost.

I have used Davey Tree Expert Company for years and have grown somewhat dissatisfied with some of the services that they provided. After the first "application" of spray on my landscape plants and shrubs for pests, I decided to cancel the rest of the services that I had scheduled with them. The contract reads that they will spray all landscape plants and shrubs "as needed". When their technician came out to spray, he walked around the property, sprayed a few things here and there and then left. About a week later, I received a statement for the full cost of spraying. In reality, he only sprayed a few plants and shrubs, and I felt that the charge was excessive for the work done. This has happened in the past and I neglected to say anything. However, this time I was home when the spraying was done and watched what was taking place. The key here in the contract are the words "as needed". So I'm guessing if they came out to spray, and you didn't have any pests gnawing on your plants and shrubs, you still would be billed for the entire cost contracted for even though they didn't have to spray anything. I decided that I can do my own spraying at a significantly reduced cost. Davey Tree Expert Company are professionals and have always had good advice. However, I just felt that their charges were excessive for the work completed or not completed because it wasn't "needed".

Barnett did not show for first appointment so I remade appointment asking to be called if he couldn't come as I had canceled my own plans (second time). Again, he did not show; when I called Syd to see what had happened she explained there was a family event and offered to come "sometime" that afternoon. I commented, "Syd, I'm not sure how dependable you are." She retorted, ".We have lives other than our business; **** happens; call someone else." and hung up. I called back as I had known Jim years earlier, asked Syd to tell him, "Hope from Al Simmons' office says 'hi""; She spit back, "Now you are on MY time" and hung up. Not the Jim and Syd I knew years ago...in my opinion, Syd could use some training in office management and business relationship skills. We have three neighbors also looking for landscaping/tree service and were going to recommend Barnett's...not now.

The work went very well indeed. Brant and his team carefully took down the trees with no damage to the neighbor's fence and absolutely no damage to the lawn. Small trees were carefully pruned. Brant obviously takes pride in his business and his work. Everyone was friendly and professional. The price was very competitive and Brant answers questions and gives advice on other landscape issues you may have. We are completely satisfied with the quality and cost.

It took them 3 days to do the work. The clean-up was fine. The owner was very nice. He was the one who came out and helped do the work. He was with his crew which was nice. They were very reasonable. Their responsiveness was fine. Their punctuality was good.

The owner arrived to the minute to give me an estimate. After that, it took a couple of weeks to get the work lined up. The owner was not present for the job and I had to review what needed to be done with the work team. They had some difficulty figuring out how it might be accomplished because some workers were on another job and a piece of equipment was in the shop, but they eventually figured it out and got it done. The cut branches were all cleared and hauled away, despite some very hot weather. I paid the agreed upon price. I would call the company again.

Just a super job. 8 Hours to down and completely remove the seven trees. These were large trees. Their cleanup is extraordinary. Very tight crew who worked safely and efficiently. The supervisor was extremely professional and ran his crew like a "well oiled" machine.

This is the second time I used them because I was totally impressed by the quality of work they did. We had three huge trees. They were there at 8:00 am and done by noon. They had two trucks and a lot of men and got it done.

Nelson is very professional and polite. I am so impressed with the work his company did, especially because I told them exactly how far down I wanted to stumps ground and I wanted all the debris removed. They did exactly as I asked! I would definitely refer them.

They were absolutely awesome. They had massive amounts of equipment and they knew what they were doing. They worked in January when the ground was frozen because it was a good time for them to work. They were very professional and got right to work. They had enough guys here to work, cranes and men climbing trees. It was amazing!
