    Embrace Pet Insurance
After being insured for 5 months, we took our healthy pet to the vet. We rescued our dog and he was a bit overweight at first but lost about 20 pounds due to healthy diet and exercise. Our previous pet had some issues with pain as he got older so we knew there was a minor pain reliever we could give our dog if he played too hard. We asked the vet to give us a prescription for it. The vet gave our dog a clean bill of health. We were there to update his shots. Embrace declared his muscle soreness a pre-existing condition and would not cover any orthopedic issues. Basically we asked for Alleve for muscle soreness after a workout and were told that in Jenna Mahan, Director of Claims, interpretation of our policy, it was abnormal and would be exclusionary. As is typical of insurance, they want your money, but don't want to pay when you make a claim. Our vet wrote a letter stating that our pet was orthopedically sound. Jenna Mahan, ex- vet-tech, decided our vet's 8 years of schooling and 35 years of being a career vet wasn't good enough.

Amie was amazing with my Maltese. She is trustworthy and professional. I will definitely be using her when we go out of town or long days at work.

They take claim very quickly. When they received my claim they sent me an email to let me know that they have received it. It is processed in short time and they have really pretty good turnaround time. They don’t cover as much as they have advertised because it may be based on some condition. I lost one of my dogs in October. She died of cancer. She had surgery and it was quiet expensive. I got reimbursed and it was not enough. I don’t think any other pet insurance would have necessarily paid any more. When the dog died I canceled the policy, I let them know and they sent me a sympathy card. Overall, I can only say good things about them. I just wished they would pay more. I really didn’t check around. When I got a new dog I still didn’t bother to investigate other places. I just automatically went with them. Overall I have been very happy with the service. I spend about $500 a year per pet and I have 2 dogs. It includes wellness care as well. The wellness care is only about $100 and it pays for vaccination. The price is quiet reasonable for what I get. They send me monthly newsletter by email. They maintain contact with me even when I am not having claims, to help me out with the animal.

Excellent. This is a business that truly cares about the clients and animals they cover. They are responsive, personal and cover what they say they cover.

    Big Creek Pet Hospital
We have used Big Creek since our dog was a puppy, so 8 1/2 years. For somethings I think they are a little more expensive but again, you are getting what you pay for. They fit you in when needed, and take care of your pet very well. The practice has 3 vets and many friendly and knowledgeable technicians. Our dog loves to greet everyone as soon as we walk in. The newer location in Olmsted Township is great too! Very convenient!

    Banfield The Pet Hospital
It went fine. The vet and the people there were very nice. I never had any issues with them. They do their job, they are easy to get a hold of, and they are easy to work with. I've been pleased with the service that we have gotten. He is on a wellness plan so I just pay every month and pretty much everything is covered.

It's just an extra insurance for your pets and they do cover some of the cost of for your pets bills but depending on what's the pet health problem is, like my dog was diagnosed with cancer, so they covered some of the cost of my bills that I paid. They are a good company, they respond quickly. It's just like any insurance where you are hoping to get more coverage than they give you but other than that, I've been satisfied with them. They are very good at responding quickly and when I submit a claim, I usually get an email that it was just in the next two days telling that they are processing my claims and I usually a get response from them in a letter probably within two weeks. They are a very good. I would recommend them. You can get extra premium as higher as you wanted to take and more coverage just like any kind of insurance.

    Embrace Pet Insurance
My experience with Embrace has been mixed. Their premiums are very reasonable. They are very quick to process claims, and for most of my dogs, they have paid without question. I have one dog who developed a chronic medical condition two years after I adopted her, and they said that one of her pre-existing conditions was a predictor for the new condition. The fine print in their policy states that any new condition related to a pre-existing condition is considered another pre-existing condition. My vet says the two conditions have no correlation. I keep the policy on her in case she develops cancer, but it does annoy me that for her, every little thing seems to related to her pre-existing condition. I should have read that fine print much more carefully!!
