    Great --Because of their knowledge and treatment of WMD (Wet Macular Degeneration) I have maintained my vision is. as it all began over 9 years ago. Because Dr. Zigarra is no longer coming to the Akron area. I now see Dr, Coney and couldn't be happier. In all of my years of treating this disease, I have never had an infection or side effect. I will continue to be their patient as long as possible

    I've worn eyeglasses since I was two, so I've spent a lot of time in the offices of optometrists and ophthalmologists.  In recent years, I've had problems with a number of eyeglass prescriptions written by area doctors, so I decided to give Doctor Denman a shot.  I could not have been more pleased.  He is punctual and thorough.  He does a wonderful job of explaining everything and answering questions.  He relies on his training, experience and personal observations, rather than base too much on an autorefractor.
    His staff is also most helpful and professional and their prices are reasonable.

    They are willing to explain things in layman terms and they will tell you what they are doing. If you have trouble picking out glasses they will go, 'Oh, these look good on you.' They don't sit there and watch. They help you pick out glasses that look good on you.

    I arrived for my appointment as a new patient a little late and staff at the front desk were very nice and understanding.  I did not wait long until I was called back to the exam area.  Staff was efficient and performed my eye exam, including the acuity and putting the drops to dialate my pupils.  The dr. came in a few minutes later with 3 students following him.  He barely greeted me, looked into my eyes briefly and had his students do the same.  I was not told students would be there and was not asked permission for them to examine my eyes.  I was also uneasy about him not doing most of the exam himself.  I had to stop him form leaving the room to ask a question. I then went and had a very friendly and knowledgable young woman help me select my glasses.  She explained all my options thoroughly and answered my questions.
    Interestingly enough, I had a friend who came the same day for an exam also, and her experience the was opposite of mine.  She thought her Dr. was friendy and thorough and he did the entire exam from start to finish.  Other wise she had a poor experience with the rest of the staff. (we had different drs and different people helping with glasses selection)
    I most likely will not go back there; if I did I would request the dr. my friend had.

    We started going there because the place we were going to before was giving us trouble with incorrectly billing things. The Novus Clinic does fine with the billing. They bill us the way they are supposed to bill us. The doctors are good. The practice is very busy. I have had to wait for 45 minutes before seeing the doctor. If you are in a hurry, it isn't exactly and ideal place.

    The people who took care of my Mother before and after her surgery were left a bad taste in our mouth. If I were going to have eye surgery I would not go there. The day of her surgery, it was the coldest day of the year and it was an early for her appointment. They called and said that there had been cancellations to get her there immediately. The waiting room was so, so cold and we waited, and waited I went up to the receptionist and she said it would be just a minute. It was 20 minutes before her original scheduled appointed we had waited since 9:20am. The technician who inserted my mother s IV was not skilled, mother had to tell her that she was hurting her, and she had better get it right. After the surgery, the nurse who brought in my mother s clothes would not help her adjust her bra. The nurse told my mother that she did not wear a bra and not to worry about it. I was right there in the waiting room, the nurse could have come got me to help my mother dress. It was time to leave and I went to get the car in the mean time they let my mother leave the dressing room and struggle to get outside never offering her a wheelchair or any assistance. I pulled up in the car just in time to help her. I just could not believe they did that. Fortunately, a man that had been in the waiting room came out to help me get mother in the car. Mother s bra was hanging around her waist when we got home; I called the head nurse informing her of the problems we had. I let the head nurse how unhappy I was with my mother s treatment.

    Dr. Sude is an excellent eye doctor. He stays current with the latest in the eye care field. I enjoy my visits with him and trust his advice regarding my contact lenses. However, the office in general is an unpleasant environment. The employees often appear rushed and hasty. I have had a particularly unpleasant encounter when I forgot my insurance form. Dr. Sude is the only reason I continue going there, otherwise I would look for a new eye doctor.

    Great. Each session is a surprise for me. Sometimes I receive a treatment (Shot in the eye) or not. It depends on what my eye has been doing. I always follow Dr. Coney's recommendations.
