Sean P. #39 was professional and patient, we asked why we had to pay an additional $30 for the Angie's List service call over the $35 originally quoted and he said it was because LG brand was hard to work on and training was harder to find. This is frustrating as after he left I was able to find a full service manual online in one click for my LG oven with step by step instructions and photos, also it gave a self diagnostic two push button procedure that told me the same thing he manually tested that the burner igniters where not working properly, nothing on the main control being defective? If it is a premium brand why is it available at all the discount big box retailers, why did it take him only 5 minutes to tell us it would be $727.79 to fix? I ordered the two burner igniters for $112 total with shipping/tax and fixed both of them within 20 minutes, the oven now works great and I'm very upset as we almost just went ahead and completely replaced the unit as we were staring a $729.79 service bill, also the main control computer was not bad at all, we were lied to? I feel violated, I think Ace Appliance sees a nice house and neighborhood and the price gets raised up, the parts at my no connection retail cost are $112 for the two igniters and a new main control was $126, totaling $238 with shipping and tax. I understand Ace Appliance has to make money and would expect $150 markup for labor, gas, and marketing for this 45 minute job but not almost $500 in labor if they actually paid what I pay for parts which I highly doubt because of there volume in parts purchasing. This is unethical, $489.79 for 45 minutes of labor tops. I'm a Gold Level Angie's List Member, I like your company very much, I would like to be a member for life. In this case I would like a return of my $65 dollars for this horrible experience. I have a copy of the quote that can be emailed if necessary, thank you for your time.

They were on time, called before they came. Professional, gave an estimate, and fixed right away. In the case of the refrigerator, the part they put in seemed to work at first, but was found to be defective. They came back out and replaced for free.

The service man came on time.  Service was performed and dryer is running good.  Price of repairs is high.  I bought the service call for 29.00 from Angies list, but I was charged tax on 59.00 which was the original price of the call.  When asked why they just said that's how it's done.  There was an error on the charge on my credit card.  When I checked my statement on line, I was charged the wrong amount on my credit card.  No one called me about the error.  When I called they said they were aware there was an error and were fixing it. It was finally fixed, but no one called me back to let me know.  Luckily I was able to look up my credit card account on line and was able to view my charges. Overall the repair was done, and it was done in a timely manner, but I don't think I will use them again.

Angies list had a 1/2 off service call coupon on the website, that saved me $30.  The company scheduled an appointment on my next day off. The repairman Sam, arrived within the scheduled time, called and let me know he was coming. It was a common problem with washers, Sam knew  what the problem was based on the description I gave.  He had the part on the truck, fixed it quickly, cleaned up after himself, and was very friendly. It's been a few weeks and the washer is working fine. I'm not sure what other companies charge for service, but it seemed reasonable to me.

Our refrigerator continues to drip from the top of the unit, and collect water, then form ice along the bottom.  Ace Appliance came out and removed the blockage in the freezer to prevent this from happening again.  Our service person was friendly, called ahead to let me know when to expect him, and he arrived in the appointed time frame.  I appreciate services being performed on time and good customer service - and Ace provided both to us.  I should also note, that I made the initial appointment via their website online form.  I promptly received a call within about 40 minutes of submitting my request.

    Advantage Appliance Services
Called Advantage on the recommendation of a neighbor. Got same day service for the diagnosis and repair with a new part the next day. Very fair price. While he was here I asked a couple questions about whether to fix or repair our underperforming dishwasher. He took a look and quickly diagnosed the problem. Gave the go ahead to order the part and repair. Then the ball sort of got dropped by us both and it took a call the beginning of Nov. to get things going again. But success, the dishwasher was repaired, again at a very reasonable price for the part and work done.

    Broadway Sales and Appliance Repair
Seemed pleasant enough at the beginning, the part was ordered and the appointment set for the 3-5pm slot. I drove back from my office in Michigan to be there in time, but they cancelled at 4pm because the part wasn't there. Rescheduled the appointment for another day, drove back in time for the 3-5pm, I called at 4:30pm to see what was going on, was told that the repairman didn't come back to the shop and get the parts, and that he wouldn't be there during the 2nd scheduled appt. Also,  office manager used some very colorful language during this conversation  Rescheduled again. T
Came today again for the 3-5pm appt. Repairman called me 20 minutes before to let know he was on his way. Great, this maybe my lucky day! Shane, the repairman was great,(BTW, he is their only guy) knows his stuff. At the end, when it came time to pay up, I asked for a discount for all my trouble. The repairman discussed with the owner, he was turned down. I called the owner and asked myself, I got the run around and a lot of excuses. He REFUSED. So I will take my lumps and tell the world, and won't use them again.
FYI - There are some old reviews with the good reviews- Old ownership. Things are different with the new ownership, just beware, no consideration for the customer. This would have never happened with the old ownership.

I have a long standing relationship with Ace Appliance Inc. They are prompt and on time, their estimates are fair, they are not the cheapest but they do what they say they are going to do and the world is not always the best with low bidders. I like their promptness, professionalism and they show up with the right parts and the right degree of knowledge.

The technician determined that the thermostat and the top heating element in the stove were both broken.  To order the parts (this was a 25-year old stove) would have been around $500, so we decided to buy a new stove, which turned out to be less than the parts would have been.

Oops.  I told the story above.  I will add that I did not get more than one estimate.  I thought the price was fair and because of the other services provided, if perhaps the cost was more than a competitor, it would be more than compensated by the additional help received.  I did pay an additional $50 for the time spent on the dryer.  It was well worth the money to know the problem.
