We are new to this practice since moving to the Brunswick area. Right before the holidays my 3 year old grandson had a low grade fever and wasn't feeling well. He was coughing and had been sick for over a week. My daughter and myself both called the office and were told it sounded viral and give it a few days and call back. Long story short, after not being able to get an appointment and the person receiving my phone call was not friendly at all and seemed to know all the answers. I ended up that same day going to the Urgicare right downstairs. My grandson had pneumonia and we were advised to go to Southwest General for IV antibiotics. I guess this service doesn't want to see your children when they are ill. Only for well office visits. What is the sense?

We used Dr. Lucas for 24 years for our 2 sons, until they graduated from college. He made himself available 24/7. He also was quick to recommend specialists, if needed. We were VERY satisfied with his medical care.

Love this doc as well as the NP that works with her (Lynn Maruskin (sp)). Works well and is very patient with my daughter with special needs. My only complaint wtih the office is that my youngest daughter's insurance changed and it did not cover this provider. I wanted for her to continue to see Dr Hagan and Lynn (and my daughter wanted to as well), and offerred to self pay. They refused stating that if my insurance did not cover the provider they would not let us be self-pay because they would not be guarenteed payment --- I did offer to pay at time of service, but they stated if there were any more charges they werent guaranteed payment. ??? Is this not true of anybody with ANY type of coverage. I had questions re: the legality of this, they were to check into it and I have not heard from them since.

Dr. Golanka saw our son at SW General where I delivered. He is very calm and has a great bedside manner with the parents and children. I have great things to say about him! He also was OK with having my son on an extended vaccination schedule, similar to the Dr. Sears schedule.
Positives: Super over-the-phone help. They called in a prescription to Chicago when my son developed pink eye on Friday evening, on the drive out of state. Talked my through a few new mom concerns without having to come an appointment on several occasions.
Negatives: I waited 10+ minutes every time to get in.
Dr. Golakna is really busy so instead we saw a NP for the 4 month check-up. She gave us some bad advice.
Depending on who you speak with, like the nurse I spoke with last Friday, they can be very short with you. Be prepared to be talked down to.
For us, the big positives don't outweigh the negatives. We're going elsewhere.

She is amazing.   She’s very personable, she always goes above and beyond, and she squeezes us in when we don’t have an appointment for our daughter.  She’s very knowledgeable; she’s just excellent.

If our doctor is not available they have other doctors that we can see. Dr. Williams is a doctor that we have seen. They have multiple doctors and they can pretty much see you within the hour or in the same day if you need to be seen. The facility is dedicated strictly to doctor's offices.

He is hands down the best pediatrician I have ever met with. His bedside manner is very relaxed and comforting. He wants to know your concerns first. He asks if you have any questions. He addresses your needs first then he goes into we need to check for this and that and we will check for your concerns at the same time. He does an excellent job of making your feel comfortable and well taken care of. They have lots of toys for the kids to play with and they also have seperate well child and sick child areas.

There are several specialists in their office for any issues. One office is attached to a hospital. They are easy to get into. They have nurses on call all the time for emergencies. The doctor talks to her.

Our family has been patients of Dr. Perzy for 13 years and have always felt very confident in her assessments and advice. If you have kids in sports, take advantage of the fall sports clinic - very well run.

Everyone was friendly and the kids liked their Dr. My eldest has ADD and the doctor was helpful and thoroughly reviewed his history. Did not feel rushed. All my questions were answered.
