Drywall Repair reviews in Strongsville

  • This was the largest project we've ever done, and we are very happy with Pride's work. Both bathrooms were original from the 1970's and required full guts. The kids bath is a tub and synthetic materials, the master bath has a walk-in shower with marble countertop, floor, shower walls, and a tiled shower floor. Everything came out perfectly. We also had an open master closet which has now been walled-off, and a linen closet door re-done. The house also had several walls throughout that needed to be mudded, which Pride helped us with too. Pride is very good with communicating the progress of work, asking about decisions that pop-up during the project, and pre-approval of additional costs. The whole project took about 5 weeks, and most of the cost shown here was from the materials- Pride's pricing is reasonable. The only downside was that the master bath came out so well we view it as a work of art and not a place to poop and scrub off dirt and sweat, so it has been 4 weeks and we are still afraid to use it.

  • We met with Chris, the owner of the company, to discuss wall repair and painting our bathroom on 7-18-2018. We explained that the critical part of the repair was an area where the newly installed quartzite did not meet with the wall because the wall is slightly bowed. As a result, there is about a half inch gap between them. We indicated that just filling the gap with caulking and painting over it was not going to work. My husband discussed "mudding"' the wall to even out the gap. Chris sent a proposal for the wall repair and painting of ceiling, walls, 2 doors, 1 window, and all the trim work, as well as the cabinets and the front of the tub, which is covered with wood. We accepted his proposal and set up the painting for the week of Sept 3. Our painter (Paul) arrived and got to work. I took a look in the bathroom while he was out to lunch and realized that he had painted the ceiling without cover the countertops. Naturally, there was splattered paint on the new quartzite. In addition, there were two open gallon paint cans and lids, as well as a wet brush (quartzite will water stain unless very well sealed) and caulking gun. We had a long firm discussion about this, and the situation was remedied! Later, that evening I went into the bathroom to get something and realized that four drawers and the top of the window were all painted shut!!! Again, this was fixed in the morning. We asked about the wall repair: Paul said he wasn't skilled enough to do it. ( I applaud his honesty.) When my husband called the owner to ask how this was going to be handled, a yelling contest ensued. Chris said he thought my husband was going to do the repair. My husband never said that! We finally told Paul to finish and just leave. We gave Chris a partial payment for labor and materials, with the stipulation that we would pay the balance when the wall was repaired. More than a month has elapsed, the check has been cashed, and we still have a gap in our wall!

  • I called on 07/24/2018 and I talked to Chris, made an appointment on 07/27/2018, he said he would call me between 4:30 and 5:00 PM; but never heard from Chris nor never showed up. and I provided them with my phone number and address.

  • I can’t say enough good things about Finish Concepts Pro Painting. The job they did was outstanding! We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the work done and the time frame they were able to complete it in. In a total of less than 10 hours, Doug’s two man crew, repaired all the walls and painted two coats of paint. The work was great and I couldn’t be happier with the job. They didn't take any shortcuts and did a great job covering all of our cabinets, floors, and entryways to keep the dust to a minimal amount. Doug, Mike, and Demitre are really nice guys and nice people to have in your home!

  • We are extremely satisfied with Mr. Andrew Boda’s work. He performed quality work which was delivered on time at a reasonable price. We strongly recommend Boda Home Improvement for any residential upgrading project. We would (and will) definitely hire this company again in the future.

  • Jimmy was very good to work with and did an excellent job. He was punctually and consistent on the days and times he would be working. We had removed an existing soffit above some kitchen cabinets, he repaired the drywall, ceiling and textured the ceiling to match. He covered the area well and cleaned up after working. Overall a great contractor.

  • Jeff is a true professional who also fits right into your home. It was never awkward to have either he or his sons here. His pricing was very reasonable and all of his work is excellent. He quickly fixed anything that I felt needed attention, (and I will say that I am a bit of a perfectionist! 😉), but I never had any difficulties working with Jeff. The best part about him is that he will rise to any challenge. One day I told him how terrible my existing pantry shelves were, and he came up with a plan to replace them with a better material. There were many of those little ideas that he suggested along the way. We spent quite a few months together working on my projects, and I am just about to call him again!

  • Very pleased with the quality of Dave's work and the entire process. Dave was very responsive from the beginning when he returned my initial call. Some contractors don't want to mess with smaller jobs but Dave took it on and we are glad we found him for future projects!
