    Michael Zeman
We hired Michael Zeman to remodel our kitchen. We paid several thousand dollars for the remodel and the pictures below is how the floor was left. The floor started coming apart within a week. There was also a garbage disposal Installed that backed up the first time we used it. The damages pictured below was due to water damage (per his own diagnosis) and an improper install. I had to pay someone else an additional $350 to fix the garbage disposal. Part of the job was leaving the subfloor. This was done by using a can of liquid nails. When I (someone who knows absolutely nothing about construction) recommended the self leveling stuff he said I hate that stuff and its messy. So needless to say no leveling was done. If you know anything about this type of flooring you know it is meant to float and move by contracting and expanding. The liquid nails glued it in place creating a ripple affect breaking apart at the seams all thoughout the kitchen. In addition to the water damage. It took a month and a half to get him to even come out and look at it. He started other jobs and said he was too busy. From the beginning of the discussion of the issues and repair all he did was fight and argue. He blamed us and blamed the product. He talked to my husband and said you know I can tell you to f*** off right and just hang up the phone. He finally offered to rip the flooring up and a $250 refund. It is going to cost roughly $2500 for materials and labor to have someone else come In and fix it. All we wanted was for him to fairly rectify the issue he created either by replacing the flooring himself or to cover what it would cost for the materials and cost for someone else to do it which he refused. This was such a negative, stressful and unprofessional experience. I am writing this review to hopefully save others the stress and money we wasted that we now have to pay someone else to come fix his mistakes.

    Housecalls Home Services
Let me start by saying he is a very nice and pleasant gentleman. He started the job when he said he would, and did show up everyday until the job was complete and that is where the problem is. This is my first bathroom renovation so what I thought was a good job, was not at all. I had glass & marble mosaic tile done on half the wall in the entire room. He didn't cut away enough of the tile to fit the switch plate so it sat flush with the wall. That left a 1/4 inch gab. Called him to come back to fix, he said after the Thanksgiving holiday and I have not heard from him. The title for the floor is a marble octagon shaped tile. I had a few people over, who have had extensive renovations done in their homes ($$) and all said, "he didn't grout your floor". Needless to say, I had another contractor come over and he agreed. Very upsetting and very disappointed.

    Stone's Construction & Remodeling LLC
I couldn't even get them to come out and do the work. They came out and gave me an estimate in mid April on a dozen items or so, some of which I wasn't ready to get done quite yet, but about half of them I needed done soon. To be honest, the estimate seemed quite high for the list of minor stuff I needed done. The estimate was for every item I asked about, EVEN THOUGH i said i needed a breakdown at the time of the estimate since I wasn't going to get everything done at once. So I called at least 4 or 5 times trying to get a break down of the items so I could schedule the work, and time after time they told me they'd get me the break down. 2 months later, I get an email giving me a bunch of excuses why they can't break down the estimate. I could tell he wasn't interested in doing the work because after after 4 or so call he says, "we're backed up 3 months at this point". Avoid Stone's Construction!

    American Wood Reface

We met Jason at the Great Big Home & Garden Show on 2/13/15 and discussed what we were looking for and the timeframe we needed it done.  It does take quite a bit of time from when they come out to when it is complete, but we just needed it done by June so it was not an issue.

Mary Jo came out on 3/6/15 to discuss what we wanted and give an estimate. She brought many samples to choose from for the cabinets, hardware and countertop. She was very helpful with making suggestions and discussing possible solutions for our "problem" corner cabinet.  When we decided on everything she did her paperwork and came up with the cost of the project. She didn't play any "guess the price" games as others had done, it was their price and it was a fair price. Also, we weren't pressured into committing at that time, we could call them when we decided.  I like the no pressure, no games approach and we decided to go forward with the project.

Jason came out on 4/6/15 to do the measurements for everything and go over the project with us. He made some suggestions for adjustments to our original thoughts on the "problem corner cabinet" which we agreed with and decided to go with to optimize our space. On 4/20/15 the Custom Design Countertop guy came out to measure the countertop. Our countertop was kind of a problem because the old one went over the tile and the new one was going under the tile.

The actual project got started on 5/10/15 and was completed on 5/18/15. This included the cabinets and the countertop guys scheduling around each other so everything went in smoothly. The only small hitch was that my husband noticed where the tile was removed next to the stove, the new backsplash didn't cover the unfinished wall.  He also wanted the countertop by the stove a bit wider so stuff didn't fall down in between the countertop and stove or refrigerator on the other side. Jason came out and looked it over to make adjustments.  The countertop guy came out on 5/22/15 and installed the new backsplash and countertop piece.   Project complete!

I love my new kitchen and have gotten many compliments on how it looks!  The new cabinets make my little kitchen look bigger and brighter.  I especially love the way the corner cupboard was redone. I've gained space and can easily access all my pots and pans that I now store there. I also love that the cupboards and drawers don't squeak!   It is a high quality kitchen renovation at a reasonable price!

All the employees that we dealt with were highly professional, very experienced and extremely customer friendly.  I highly recommend this company if you are looking to have your kitchen refaced.

    Thiel's Home Solutions

I saw their display at the Cleveland Great Big Home & Garden show and filled out a card for them to contact me to do an estimate. They promptly called and the estimate was set-up for 2/27/15. Michael Gehrisch was running about 15 mins late and was courteous enough to call and let us know.  He was very polite, sociable and professional.  He did a thorough job of measuring all the cabinets and shelving that we wanted refaced/replaced.  He showed us a video of the product manufacturing and demonstrated the durability of the cabinet doors.  There were many options to choose from as far as style and color.

We settled on what we liked and he proceeded to run the numbers. The one thing we didn't think of was the Toe Kick along the bottom of the cupboards.  He asked if black was ok, but we wanted oak to match the rest.  They didn't have oak, so we said black would be ok though I don't think I would've liked it.

This is where I had a problem with Thiel's and it had nothing to do with Michael, it is the company itself that has this practice. We were asked to guess how much it would cost.  We didn't want to guess, we just wanted a price, however I guessed $15,000 (this being our 1st estimate).  The price came out to $18,022 but the factory pricing is $16,201 plus we had a $500 off coupon which put us at $15,701 (for 30 days).  We also were asked to read a paper they had explaining that it costs them money to do return visits and if we signed today we would get an initial visit discount.  So if we signed that day it would be $14,445.

Being a large cost project and being the first estimate and only product I'd seen I wanted to wait to get my other estimates and products to look at before committing.  In my opinion, expecting a customer to make that big of a decision so quickly is not putting the customer first.  Return visits cost money and that is part of business.  I like companies that don't play games, just give me their best honest price and let me decide what I want to do on my time schedule. This type of marketing must work for a lot of people but it's not for me.  But again, Michael did do a very good job otherwise.

Gutted bathroom..down to walls/floor..replaced drywall, custom tile throughout, custom made shower for elderly with seat, grab bars.  Very professional crew..on time..on schedule...drop cloths where they are tracking/workin...kept things clean.  Mike and his crew did an outstanding professional job.  Did a few extra things that I didn't expect but was glad they did..no additional cost.  Who does that anymore?  Definitely using them for other projects...highly recommend!

The service went okay. He never followed up or anything. I haven't followed up with him either but I would think if he wants the business he would be following up. I thought he knew his stuff and everything.

When finished, I stated to contractor's son, that I would not give any info to Angie's List as I felt that if I could not say something nice, I would not say anything at all.  Other than items already stated, I wish to stand by that statement. Thank you

    A Perfect Coverage
After moving back into our house after renting it out for a year we were doing basic repairs when we called in A Perfect Coverage to help with a basic plumbing repair - fixing a broken shower head. After removing the shower head it was found that the plumbing had been leaking for years. After further examination behind the drywall and shower we saw extreme mold infestation in the downstairs and upstairs bathrooms. Some of the studs were rotted out and even the water was doing damage to the foundation. The bathrooms were torn down to studs and completely rebuilt with new tile showers, tile floors, new electrical and recessed lighting, new plumbing and of course, new drywall and painting. All the work was done first-class - no shortcuts were taken, everything was thoroughly planned out, they worked quickly and efficiently and it all honestly turned out better than we ever expected.
On top of that, further exam of the house showed that there were serious concerns with some of the electric (previous owners did not do a good job of upkeep or maintenance) which Tim found and fixed! While the bathroom was torn apart we decided to replace all the carpet with laminate flooring in most of the house (the carpets were shot anyway). Tim put the flooring down in an amazingly short period of time and we hardly had any waste - it was like watching an artist at work!
We knocked down the wall separating the kitchen and dining room, replaced all the cabinets and counters in the kitchen and a few other odds and ends that came up.
Though the work was obviously much more than we ever dreamed it would be (it was supposed to be a stinkin' shower head!) and we never anticipated spending near that amount of money, it turned out to be blessing in disguise because we found some seriously bad things wrong that would have caused great damage down the road if left undone.
Tim was always there early, worked late, was extremely efficient, always quick to explain things and even do some teaching when I got to sit in on some of the projects with him (I'm a computer guy and I like to learn especially when it comes to home improvement stuff). I've seen quite a few handymen/repairmen at work but none were as good at what they do as Tim from A Perfect Coverage.
I literally could not recommend A Perfect Coverage enough! As I mentioned, he gave us a fair price which was an even better value since he did things the right way the first time instead of just covering things up (which our previous owners did because we were getting their cover-ups fixed!). He went above and beyond anything we asked, always had great ideas and was apt to teach.
There is so much more that we want to do both inside and outside and will be calling A Perfect Coverage for all of our  home improvement projects!
