    Dan arrived at the scheduled time and inspected the washing machine. He noted the mixing valve was bad. We ordered the mixing valve and on September 22, 2016 Dan replaced the mixing valve and also the hot and cold water hoses.

    Dan arrived as scheduled. After inspecting the machine he said the soap dish needed replaced. He would order the part and come on either Thursday or Friday. Dan came on October 21, 2016. There have been no other leaks.

    This was such a great experience I don't even know where to start. First of all my washer broke the same day I came back from vacation with a ton of dirty laundry. So in other words, fabulous timing. I So I turned to Angie's List because now it's free and Ace was one of the first companies on the list in my area. I called him and he said it might take him a day or two and he kept apologizing for the delay which to me was way earlier than I had even hoped for. I was over the moon that he could get there that fast. So anyway this was Tuesday, he told me he would call me Wednesday night to set up a time, and he did exactly that. He called when he said he would call and he set up a time for Thursday from 12-2 and said he'd call when he was on his way. Once again, he did exactly that. Which, for a contractor, is really exceptional because usually they just appear on your doorstep when you least expect them like a genie out of a bottle. Anyway Scott got there in exactly the time frame he promised, diagnosed the problem, and fixed it on the spot. He was courteous and professional and FAST. I could have cried for joy. I was already envisioning the worst since my washer is not exactly a spring chicken but all it was was a door lock. His service fee was unbelievably low and I really appreciate that since at least if it had gone the other way I wouldn't have been out a ton of money. I can't think of any negatives or even anything that could have possibly been improved. Once again, I am one of those people who really really likes for people to do exactly what they say they are going to do. Which you would think should be the norm but it isn't. I felt that Scott did an exceptional job and I would not hesitate to call him again, in fact he gave me a sticker and I put it right on my washer and my mom is already begging me for his number and I gave it to her. A good appliance repairman is absolute GOLD.

    Their service repairman called when he was about 15 mins. out and told me he was on his way, Got right to the job and made the necessary repairs.  This was done under the warranty, so I did not pay for it, but would definitely use Fred's again.

    Scott was very personable. I waited one day for him to service our washer, which to me, was wonderful and very much unexpected. He spent one and one half hours draining the washer and doing various diagnostics to ascertain the problem. The clothes washer's computer did not give an error reading, which complicated the diagnostics. Eventually it was discovered that a pump was faulty and that there were no pumps available in parts stores within a 40 mile radius. Scott told me the closest store was 42 miles away and it was closing for the night in 10 minutes. Further, the store was closing the next day (Saturday) at noon. I was sure he was going to say I was going to be without a clothes washer for the weekend and visions of a dreaded laundromat visit flashed before my eyes. He then said he would be here at 1 the next day, that somehow he would adjust his schedule to make that part run.
    From that moment I was sure this was really going to cost a ton of money. The next day within fifteen minutes of the promised time Scott arrived with the part. Within the hour he was done and the washer worked fine. The pump cost $110 and for over three hours of labor the total bill was only $201.00. I cannot say enough about this guy, but I will certainly tell everyone willing to listen that this is my go to guy for appliance repairs, and considering how these things are made these days ( oh, I sound SO old!) I am very glad to know Scott is nearby.

    Scott was very professional and very responsive. He called me several time to fit my repair in sooner but my schedule would not allow. I so appreciate went people put the customer needs as priority. I highly recommond Ace for any appliance repair and will use them again for repairs.

    2 days before Christmas, the ignitor in our oven broke - it would not heat up. We were hosting our first Christmas for both sides of our family, and Selby was able to come out the same day - 2 days before Christmas none-the-less. He not only knew what the problem was before he showed up, but had the parts available when he arrived. He was at our house for less than 1 hour to replace the ignitor, and effectively saved our Christmas dinner! 
    This was the 2nd time I have used Selby's appliance repair, and he once again did not disappoint. 
    Very knowledgeable and professional.  Highly recommend.

    SELBY APPLIANCE REPAIR
    Washing machine at rental property filled with water, then wouldn't spin/agitate.  Spoke with Selby on Thursday, he came out to property on Saturday. He was able to get the water drained from the machine, but then confirmed machine had a busted transmission. Informed me it would be close to $400 to fix, and at that price suggested I just look into purchasing a new one. Seemed very knowledgeable about the washing machine, and I certainly appreciate the honesty from a repair standpoint. Very fair cost for service call. I would highly recommend, and Selby will no doubt be my first call for any future appliance repair needs.

    Sales person in Stow was more interested in TRYING to talk about his classic car at home or how much milk he buys for his kids!He was very rude, argumentative with my wife, seemed to have an issue with women.  Who knows?Anyway, the delivery people were GREAT!  They were the best thing about Meyers.  Josh the owner is great too, but I don't think he knows his sales and service people are poor at best.The service man would not attach our ice maker because we had PVC pipe!  We hired a plumber and it was NO PROBLEM!  Made us feel like we had a substandard house or something!  Yea installation was suppose to be included!!We asked the service man if he could tighten up the LOOSE handle on the brand new GE Double oven, he said It was up to GE to do that, call them!  Wow, I could have had that response from Lowes or Home Depot!  We went to Meyers for family quality service and didn't really receive that from Sales or Service.  The owner is a Great Guy but he needs to take a hard look at his sales and service people.Hey Josh, call me!  I'm in sales and customer service, I could blow these guys away in a minute!  Whatever...typical these days!Nobody cares.....

    It went great. We first called another company. They would not quote a price over the phone and insisted on a $70 non refundable service call to make the quote. Their quote was over $650 for the same job. We saved about $200 even with loosing to $70 for the estimate. Ace did a great job with fast and friendly service. I am thrilled by now having a good appliance repair man to call in the future. P.S. when I first selected his listing the site notified me that he did not work in my area. Northern Portage county. I called anyway since his address is close to my home. It turned out that he is seeking work in my area.
