    Koontz Construction
Job went off without a hitch. Koontz people were a pleasure to work with. Their work was done very professionally. They did all they could to make the job flow easily. I would have them back without question.

Clink Builders & Contracting Co Inc
Clink Builders was fantastic! We're so thankful for the work they did! A previous contractor left work uncompleted and never returned. Bill and his crew were able to come in and finish the job. In hindsight, I wish that I had found Clink Builders first and hired them to do the work from the start. We needed a 10-foot, 3-course foundation cinder block wall repaired under our sun porch addition. This was found after all of the rain gutter drainage around the house was replaced. The previous contractor had excavated the area, but never returned. Clink Builders removed the damaged cinder blocks, replaced them with new blocks & mortar, waterproof sealed the wall, connected the gutter drain pipes, tied in the sump pump drainage, and back-filled the area. Every person we dealt with was professional, courteous, and pleasant to work with; from the owner Bill, to Dottie (both on the phone and through e-mail), to Brian, Eric and Eric. They started the job on July 3 and came back the next day (on Independence Day) to complete the project. I recommend Clink Builders to anyone and I would hire them again if needed. Thank you, Bill & crew for a job well-done!

Randy and his team are a class act! It is refreshing to find people who take pride in their work and do it as if they were working on their own home. They were professional and polite and each day they completely cleaned up the work site. They did a great job and I highly recommend him to anyone.

A went very well. They arrived on time on the day they would. They set up and went to work right away and completed it in enough time for them to get to another short job. We feel that the price was fair, the workmanship is professional and was performed well and quickly.

    Koontz Construction
Excellent work. Extremely professional and diligent. They dug out dozens of gigantic tree roots that were undermining our FLA room and cracked the cement floor and blocks. Poured new floor and helped to settle the bowing in the wall and window. We are very pleased.

    Koontz Construction
I called about a dozen companies trying to get this job done - was only able to get 4 to come out for quotes. What is it with contractors these days just never returning calls? Anyway, Koontz was about the same price as the other 3, but they were going to replace a lot more bricks and be a lot more thorough with the job than the others were, so that's why they got my business.
I originally contacted them in August 2014 and had been hoping to get job done at that time, but they were unable to squeeze me in before winter. To prevent further ice damage in the winter, they came out and secured a tarp to the damaged shoulder of the chimney. A lot of places wouldn't have gone that far.
They were finally able to get me in the first week of June 2015. Again, a little later than I had hoped, but I believe if a contractor is busy, that's a good sign. It took them about 3 days, and I'm very pleased with the end result. The bricks don't match 100%, but I know it's unreasonable to expect a 100% match with 50 year old bricks.
    I would definitely recommend.

    Odd Job Squad, LLC

Everything was done on budget and in a timely manner.

The workers are always polite and do their job. John, the owner is a great communicator and makes sure that he knows what you want and makes great suggestions. He has worked on every room in our house and our cottage. He has excellent workers in the area and hires the best.

As with many jobs, things came up that were not expected while they were in the middle of the job and we were able to adjust the work order to my satisfaction. For example, when removing a gas fireplace in our family room, we found that it had not been installed properly and required extra work and expertise to cap everything properly, and up to code. John's workers knew what to do.

Also, the experienced electrician who was here fixed some problems that I had when I asked about them. I did not expect free work, and he was able to contact John and adjust my bill for his time. He had the materials in his truck. I liked that because I did not have to call again for a new job. They were flexible.

I decided to have my house painted a week before Thanksgiving and John and his guys got in done for me in plenty of time.  He has the best painters. I have never seen anyone so good at their jobs.

I purchased the ceiling lights and they put them in. This was from scratch. They had to run the wires, make the holes in the ceiling and install the switches. They were in and out of my house so fast you would hardly know they were here. Same with ceiling fans in they bathrooms.

We started with the big job of remodeling our family room, which was beautiful. We had a GIANT stone fireplace that took up a major part of the room and when that came out a lot of drywall work and electrical work was needed. Then trim to match the rest of the room. It looks great now.

I will always call on Odd Jobs Squad.

    Matts Home Improvements
This was a special promotion for 4 hours of masonry repair for $99. When the worker arrived and saw the work we needed done, he stated it wasn't a repair, but a new construction, and it would cost an additional $60. He had us make the check out to a different name than the original business. I got the impression he was a subcontractor, and he seemed kind of shady, but we just wanted the work completed. We needed 3 bricks replaced/reset on our stoop, including one that held the stair railing. He said it would be a pain to replace the stair railing and he thought our stoop stairs only needed a rail on one side anyway. Anyway, we had to go find the bricks to match, and then he worked for maybe an hour to re-mortar and set the bricks. Within three months, the bricks were loose and falling off the stoop again. I feel like the whole experience was a rip-off.

    David Quine Construction Inc
Dave came out and inspected, recommended concrete leveling to be completed before service to stoop and provided estimate. Once that was completed, I called and he was able to schedule the work within two weeks. Called ahead and arrived on time. Completed work to my satisfaction. I did not get other estimates before contracting for the job - Mr. Quine had been recommended by another contractor with whom I had worked. He and his co-worker were very personable, respectful, and professional in completion of the work.

I had an appointment with them today. They never called and never showed up. I called them hours later to follow-up and he advised that he did not come based on the weather. There was no rain and it was blue skies.
