Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning
On July 5, 2019, my air conditioner was not working. There was water under my furnace. I called Service Experts because they put in my furnace/AC in 2007, and I have used them over the years for my tune-ups. The representative I talked with on that Friday, told me no appts. were available on Saturday, but Sunday, July 7th, I could have one, and I chose 8-10 am. I even received an email confirmation of my appt. from Service Experts. No one showed up or called, so I called at 9:55 am, and the rep put me on hold, and then told me the tech was running late, but would call 30 minutes before arriving. It was now 2:25 pm, and heard from no one. I called again, and this time spoke with Natalie. I was put on hold for awhile, and she came back, telling me I never had an appt. and they do not make appts. on the weekends. So, the two previous repres. lied to me. Natalie said she talked with a technician and said i would be the next customer. How do I know this for sure, when this company has already lied to me twice? In previous appts. with this company, I have had them be late, and they even called me the day of my appt last year, to say they had an emergency and if I would change my appt. to Friday or Saturday!! This company also tries to sell you things like tankless water heaters, even though my 2 water heaters are fine! Needless to say, I will not deal with this company again, because of poor customer service and lying. In their recording, as you are put on hold, waiting to talk with a representative, they say, "We are the best in the business." In honesty, you are not. Call another heating and cooling company!

    Blind And Sons LLC
We originally called Blind because our 19 year old a/c had stopped working. At the same time, I asked for their furnace tune up (which was on special) because our 9 year old furnace had been running louder and louder for the last few years (we aren't usually tune-up people, so it had been a number of years since either unit had been looked at, cleaned, etc.) I called on a Friday, and they offered to send someone Monday. The company could not specify what part of the day they would arrive, so my husband took the whole day off. He doesn't get paid for his time off, but he was OK with having an excuse to have a long weekend. The tech found the a/c had a bad fuse and replaced it, which got the a/c going again, but he suggested there were other repairs that should be done at an additional cost - which we opted against. He then did the furnace tune-up, but noted that a repair (around $750) would be needed to fix the furnace issue. We weren't surprised by this, because something had obviously been going wrong with the furnace for a while. Blind does a "buy-back" for a portion of their service call, if you decide to replace your furnace or a/c (I think within five days?) after service has been done. So, we had them quote a new a/c because while it was running again, 19 years is a ripe old age, and then we asked them to quote a new furnace as well, because a $750 repair seemed large enough to entertain the idea of just replacing it. I asked the sales rep Jim what he would do, and he said repair the furnace and replace the a/c, which I thought was a reasonable answer - with points for not pushing a new furnace. But, there is a little bit of a price break for doing furnace and a/c together, and with the service "buy-backs" on the work they had done on both units, we opted to go ahead and replace both, because we may sell the house in the next few years, and who knows how much it would cost to replace them down the road with possible inflation? Blind mainly supplies Lennox furnaces and A/C, which would not have been my first brand choice. At one point I did ask about other options, but we never got around to actually getting a quote on alternatives. I could have pushed the question, but the Lennox units come with a 10 year warranty (provided you get annual check-ups by Blind or another furnace company), which we were told covers everything, so we decided we would just go with the Lennox and try very hard to be good about the annual maintenance. Wish us luck on that. Jim gave us quotes for three levels of a/c furnace, and like a lot of people, we opted for the mid-range units. A replacement appointment was made, and my husband took another day off. The only down side was that they called on the day they were supposed to come, and said they would have to reschedule because they had trouble getting the units we had ordered. The Lennox facility had been hit by a tornado a month earlier - I googled and the news pics were pretty bad - and we were told this was the reason behind the problem. The sales rep apologized and said he would call when the units had arrived, and that we would be upgraded to the next level of furnace and a/c at no charge. A few days later, he called to say they were in. So, hubby got a third unpaid day off, but again, he never minds too much about staying home. Really, I probably didn't need him to be home, but like having him home when workers are around, in case issues arise. The install took two techs (Jay and Dave) most of the day, but everything went smoothly. They cleaned everything up really thoroughly when they were done, and showed us how to set the new AprilAir thermostat that came with the install. As promised, we were upgraded on both the a/c and furnace at no extra charge. It has been about a week, and the a/c is running well. We have yet to try the furnace (other then their test run), because of the hot weather, but I am looking forward to a much quieter winter.

Andy he did an excellent job with my furnace and air conditioning installation. He was prompt, courteous, and personable. He made sure that all my questions were answered throughout the whole process. It was evident that he is knowledgeable about his trade. Cleanup was excellent, also. I wouldnt hesitate to hire him again.

Neal came out and ry to make the existing unit work again, but was unable to and recommended I replace the unit. He worked with my home warranty company to get them on the same page and then quickly replaced the unit. His prices were fair and I was very happy with the work completed.

    Apple Heating & Cooling
It took 4 visits over a 2 week period. The last visit was necessary because the wiring was done incorrectly on the third visit and another technician had to come and fix the work. The first technician didn't tell me there was a problem; I had to find that out myself. The price quoted by the first technician was not honored by the company, even though customer service reps said the company would go by the technician's cost estimate. Multiple calls to the company's customer service reps were unsuccessful. The best they'd say is they'll use this for future training, to ensure it doesn't happen again. I was unable to speak with someone in charge about the manner. CS staff acted bored by my concerns about the quality of work and the overcharging and declined to address either issue. The poor quality of work and poor attitude have me reconsidering using this company in the future and am looking at other heating and cooling companies. The second technician was terrific; just not sure it's enough to counteract the hours and hours the first technician spent here (and didn't fix the problem/left it not working) and lousy customer service reps (I spoke with several different ones; they were all pleasant but equally indifferent).

    Brandon Heating and Air Conditioning
A technician came out to service and diagnose the problem and fixed a few other minor issues. Another technician came out to replace the motor and a few other parts within a week (we still had heat and we chose to schedule it this way). The technicians were prompt, polite and professional. Everything is much quieter in our house now. Very satisfied.

Anthony did a great job completing and correcting these issues. I just wish I would've chosen them a year ago to install my new a/c system. John Lagani, owner is straight forward and upfront with you and ensures the work is done correctly.

    Blind And Sons LLC
I stumbled on their name because they were close by. I always look for someone who is close by. I called them and they worked out fine and I got with them and I always call them. Their best three qualities are plumbing, furnace, electrical work. I don't know that they do carpentry and that kind of stuff around the house, but most of it is that internal type of things for your appliances, like plumbing, heating, your water system, electrical. You have to look for Blind and Son on the internet and you can see everything that they do. I wouldn't use them if they weren't "A" for this stuff. It's a fair price. I wouldn't use them if they didn't have good quality. Sometimes if you buy a contract it gives you a little advantage. Sometimes you can get them in a hurry without an extra fee. Some times they'll set them loose in an emergency. You have to have a little subscription thing for this additional piece of rapid insurance. If you're one of their members, that is typically you aren't a random caller, for instance I call them for water and some other things, and off and on different electrical and they do my A/C. They do all my water stuff.

I liked that when he came to check the furnace, he showed me where the problem was and that it was still under warranty. However, the unit was over 19 years old. The part was under warranty. It would cost at least a thousand to replace it and repair it in maintenance cost. He sent the salesman out to discuss repair verses new and decided new would be the better way to go because I would still have a twenty year old furnace with another thousand / fifteen hundred dollars into it. We went with the new furnace and the new air conditioner. They were very honest. They came out and went over all the pricing and arrangements that could be made for payment and set it up. It was installed probably within 2 weeks and it was interest free for two years I think, or three years, so it gave you time to pay it off before the interest was due. So, if I could use their money for free, that's what I did and I've been very happy with it. They replaced a lot of the duct work in the basement. They put in a new humidifier and a new air conditioner outside. It was an easy experience. It was one of the first since my husband died, a big major purchase that I had to do on my own. They were very good about going over everything, making sure I understood everything. They were very nice.
