    A & J Exhaust
Even though I had new brakes, the brakes on my car were grabbing really badly.  A&J realized it wasn't the brakes, but bad cylinders causing the rear brakes to not work at all.  It took a couple of times taking my car back, but they kept at it until the brakes worked properly with no additional charge.

I have used Zatta's auto service for several years now.  They are very trustworthy and reliable.  It's not always easy to get in there quickly, as they are quite busy, but they will do their best to get your vehicle back in a timely fashion.

This is a privately owned business so I had to wait a week while they had some people on vacation but they did the work promptly when after the car was dropped off the evening before repairs were scheduled . Have had no problems with this or other repairs done by Car Medic over ten years. I have never been pushed to do more repairs though they will point out other things they notice. I feel I can trust them and have never received any surprises nor had to take the car back because something was done wrong or skipped.
On this job I had just changed the radiator myself and instructed them to reuse my new antifreeze which they did. We reviewed the parts to be changed prior to the job starting and only a bad motor mount had to be added. Repairs completed when promised.

I live near this shop so I usually drop it off and make sure it can be finished when I need the car back then walk home.   I got a call that it was done before the promised time at the price expected which was at a discount due to a coupon I had.  As is usual with oil changes, other fluids were checked and filled if needed, tires rotated and any other items needing work were reported to me.  This is normal for most shops who then try to scare you into getting the added repairs done immediately.  Monro has never done this to me.  They simply point out the problem and quote the cost.  Sometimes I bring it back; sometimes I take it elsewhere or do it myself.  They sometimes are willing to work a little off the price, too.  At no time has the other recommended repairs been false; it has indeed needed work or replacement.  Been going here for many years and though not usually the lowest price (but better than a dealer) the work has always been done timely and correctly.

    Steel City Collision Inc
Appears to have towing contract with local police department:
My son switched car insurance company, previous insurer notified DMV of lapse in coverage and DMV suspended his registration but did not send notice so he didn't know it was suspended. On Thursday evening, was pulled over by two patrol cars, who searched the car, called for a tow company, put him and my passenger in the back of one car and dropped them at a gas station 7.5 miles away from home. They refused to look at his current proof of insurance, saying that their database showed his registration was suspended and they had already called the towing company and the ticket was already written. A Steel City Collision tow truck WITHOUT ANY LICENSE PLATES arrived almost immediately and took his car away.
I spent Friday getting the car re-registered, Friday evening my son called Steel City Collision to request pickup the following day. Their answering service stated they were only open Monday-Friday 9 to 5. Not wanting to pay storage fees over the weekend, I called a second time and got the same response. Monday morning when we went to Steel City to pick up the car, we were charged for the weekend at $40 per day and they said they had been open all weekend. We told them what their answering service said and they spent a long time "checking their records" and said there was no record of our calls, insinuating we were lying:  "If you knew how many customers have stood there and tried to tell us that..." I guess that's part of the scam.  The owner was very rude and when I finally asked if we could split the difference and pay for only one of the weekend days, he sarcastically asked me what part of the car he could keep in exchange. He finally agreed to reduce to 3 days and when I accepted, he responded. "Well, you'd better accept that or I'm going to go back and add another day and charge you for 5 days storage."
AVOID (unless you enjoy getting scammed)

    AVOID !!!    DISHONEST !!!
Quoted $150 for the work, then demanded $100 cash up front to "buy parts." Gave cash with agreement that the other $50 would be put on debit card. Receipt for completed work was $157, but as no credit card receipt was returned with the paid invoice, did not discover until next day that $157 was billed to debit card for a total of cost of $257.
When I called to complain, co-owner MIKE said he had made a mistake by forgetting to include an additional $100 for labor on the invoice, and each time I presented him with a fact, fabricated another scenario in a pathetic attempt to cover the fact that we both knew he was lying.
The only remedy he would offer was that I could bring the car back and for no charge he would remove the parts he had installed !!! When I told this this was unacceptable, he hung up on me.

    Bobby Rahal Jaguar
The people at Bobby Rahal Volvo are fantastic! On more than one occasion they have done a great deal of work, jerry-rigged things for me (I'm on a seriously tight budget) and charged me nothing! Given the age of the Volvos that I've driven in there, it is clear that I am not in the running for a new luxury car, nevertheless they treat me exceedingly well and give me honest feedback and advice. This is the only dealership that I've ever trusted. If I am ever in the line for a new car, I will stop at Bobby Rahal first!

My husband and I bought a car here last week. There was a pin size hole in the radiator that we noticed before we bought it and they were more than happy to order a new radiator and put it in for us. They are also going to fix the broken gas gauge. It was easy to get a payment plan that worked for us and them, the salesmen were friendly but not too pushy and so far it looks like everything went very well!  I would suggest taking someone with you that knows about cars (mechanical type) to check out the car before you buy it because they won't go out of their way to point out the car's problems. They will, it seems, go out of their way to fix problems that are found, though.

The work was done in a timely manner. Got the car back the same day. When i got home, I realized that the hand brake would not hold. I went back the next morning and had them fix it. They had not checked the tension on the hand brake cable after they finished the brake job, obviously. I was disappointed that this safety item was overlooked. It was the first time anything like this had happened in my dealings with Car Medic. This work was not performed by the owner, Rick who was on vacation, but by a much younger person.
In the past 2 years I have had the timing belt replaced late in 2010, and the clutch replaced just prior to this most recent repair. In both these instances I was perfectly satisfied with the work performed and believed it was either performed by Rick himself, or overseen by Rick. I will continue to use Car Medic, but in the future I will make sure Rick will be there to insure quality control. Rick provides the best auto repair work and value that I have experienced in the Steubenville, Ohio area.
