    ROTO ROOTER
I wasn't happy with them, their prices are outrageous. I had a deal so it became reasonable. The guy was competent, it was their prices. I remembered why I don't call Roto Rooter. The initial price was going to be $600. The sink wasn't even installed. What I wanted done, I didn't have done because the price was so high. I had to run to the store to buy pipes and valves because, he didn't have any. He didn't have all of the materials that he needed. We had a small leak after he left and my husband had to tighten it. I will say that Roto Rooter is always responsive. He was professional and I will use them if absolutely have to have them. They do have 24 hour service.

I have used him numerous times and he does an excellent job each time.  He is conscientious, fair, does a good job and does not try to screw you on his prices. The only plumber I will use.

    Narrow Path Plumbing
Great...  I called mid - afternoon and he was willing and able to meet us late afternoon at the time we requested.  He arrived promptly with help.  Evaluated the situation quickly and provided a quote for service.  Once we accepted he performed the work immediately, quickly and professionally.  He cleaned up the work area.  He provided meaningful explanations as to why we had the problem and how he fixed it.  He provided good advice on a variety of topics.   He even helped drain the hot water tank at no extra charge to make sure everything was in good condition before he left.  He made sure we were satisfied with the work and he answered all questions.  We were a new customer and couldn't have received any better service.  He's our new "guy".

    Narrow Path Plumbing
I had a very good experience with Narrow Path Plumbing from the start.  Our pump went out Friday night at 7:00 PM (of course!) and I called the emergency number.  Chris answered and came by first thing the next morning.  Someone would have come out that night, but we knew we needed a new pump.  They searched for a pump Saturday but there were none in Dayton, so we had to order one.  I was please with the communication and responsiveness throughout this stressful ordeal.

    Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup
Roto-Rooter sent out a very inexperienced plumber named Austin on 1/4/14 who did not even know what a sewage ejection pump was.  He went to Menards for the replacement part.  Unfortunately for us, he put in the wrong size motor and put in the floater upside down.  Two weeks later, it stopped working.  We called Roto-Rooter again.  They sent out a different plumber who shook the pipe and stated it was clogged toilet paper.  He did not look at anything else and was gone within 10 minutes.  One week later, the pump stopped again.  This time sewage water flooded the basement ruining a $10K wood floor that was just put in a few months previous as well as carpet, drywall, and baseboards.  Roto-Rooter sent out another plumber who finally fixed it correctly.  Unfortunately it was too late, the damage was already done.

Roto-Rooter then sent out their contractor to clean up the sewage mess, never telling us we could use anyone we wanted.  The contractor, Teasdale Fenton, in their demolition of our basement, broke tiles on the floor, chipped the concrete basement floor trying to get the hard wood floor up, caused drywall damage by yanking off the baseboards, and almost causing another flood by not checking to make sure where they had placed the hose to the dehumidifier.

After causing so much destruction, we found out from Roto-Rooter's insurance company that we did not have to stay with Teasdale.  In fact, Roto-Rooter should not have sent out Teasdale at all.  They handled that incorrectly too.  We had an insurance adjuster come out who could not believe all the mess that they found almost a month and a half after the flood.  Roto-Rooter's insurance company then offered to pay us only the cash value of the repairs, leaving a balance of $3,162.21.  We contacted Roto-Rooter asking if they would please make us whole because we did not feel that we should have to pay $3,162.21 out of pocket due to their error.

We never heard from them again.

Stay away from Roto-Rooter.  They have cost us more damage then we can afford for a plumbing repair!

They installed the water heater in less than one day and cleaned up their mess before they left.

    AAA WASTEWATER
I called inquired and explained I thought I needed my septic system pumped out.  The gentleman on the phone was very prompt and helpful.  The service professional was on time and very good at what he did.  Took his time to explain to me what he was doing, why and what I could do to prevent the need in the future.  Very positive.

    McLean Plumbing
I had a water leak coming from one of the bathrooms into a hallway in my 1995 house. Greg McLean of McLean's Plumbing took a look and diagnosed the probable leak source as a pre-fab fiberglass walk-in shower. He couldn't be certain until he did some demolition to remove the shower. Once he removed the pre-fab shower, he confirmed the leak source and showed me the problems. There was a defect in a seam of the shower, a valve was leaky, and the drain was leaking as well. Greg did a great job on installing a new shower. He also did a superb job on installing a shutoff valve under my kitchen sink for the line to the refrigerator's ice and water dispenser. I'm not a plumber (hence my calling one for the job), but I'm a plumber's son and have been around the trade for many years. I've seen quality workmanship and this job fit the bill (literally and figuratively). He had other jobs he was working but he fit my job in according to both our schedules. He kept me informed about his progress and the work was performed as described and when promised. He was prompt on all appointments, informative on replacement products, and offered recommendations. He cleaned up afterwards and hauled away the old material.
