  • Didn't even get to the estimate. Actual work they do might be ok, but office seems disorganized. I set up an appointment. After 45 minutes of them not showing, I called the office. The woman who answered said they tried to call me because they needed to reschedule. I told her I did not receive a call nor do I have any missed calls on my phone. She was polite and wanted to reschedule. When I asked to verify if they had the right phone number, she could not find any paper work to do so, but she did know what city I am in. So, I refused to reschedule because they seem to have issues with paperwork and organization in the office.

  • I met the owner Northeast Ohio Renovations Bob Hegedish back in March of 2017 at the Home and Garden Show at the IX Center. I was interested in getting vinyl siding and new windows for my home. Bob said he could probably beat any price that I was given and that he had done a lot of work in the Cleveland Heights area. A few weeks later he came out to my house and gave me an estimate for the job. He was going to put vinyl siding and new gutters on my house and garage and install 6 new windows for the price of 14,011.00. I secured a home equity loan to pay for the work which took about a month to complete. I had the money for the job by the end of April and informed Bob that I was ready for them to start the work. He told me first he would install the windows and then the siding. Bob asked for 1/3rd of total job upfront, I wrote him and check for that amount and he installed the windows on August 22, 2017. One window was not installed correctly, I contacted Bob letting him know the window was not installed correctly and that when you tried to open it, the window was off the track. Bob said he would send someone out to fix it, I had to contact Bob and the window installer several more times before the installer came out and fixed the window on November 5, 2017. In September, Bob had the materials needed to install the vinyl siding delivered to my house and was going to start the vinyl siding installation on October 2, 2017. I had told Bob that I planned to take the day off work so I could be there when the work was started. That Friday September 29, 2017 I contacted Bob because there was rain in the forecast for the day they were supposed to start the job and I wondered if they would still be able to start the job on time. He told me as long as it wasn't raining bad they would be able to start the work. So I took a day off from work October 2, 2017 and Bob and his crew never showed up. I called him several times in the morning and he did not get back to me till that night and said that his workers weren't finished with another job and that is why they didn't show up. I reminded Bob that I took time off work to be here when they were supposed to start the work. Bob then claimed he told me he would start the work either October 2nd or 3rd. I then reminded him of our conversation the previous Friday and there was no mention of the work being delayed by a day. I also told him that if there was a delay starting the work he should have informed me ASAP so I wouldn't waste my time off from work. Also, on this date I had called the city of Cleveland Heights and they informed that Bob had not pulled the permit for the job. I questioned Bob about this and he claimed he was going to stop by city hall to get the permit right before they started the job. I found this suspect because Bob had previously informed me that the city of Cleveland Heights can be very tough on permits for siding jobs and he might have to go before the Architectural Review Board to get the permit approved. Because I needlessly took a day off work informed Bob that I would need them to start the job on a Saturday so I could be home while they start the work and Bob told me he would have to talk to his workers about that. That same week he went to city hall to get the permit and they told him it would have to go before the Architectural Review Board and they didn't have their next meeting till November 7, 2017. Bob told me he would go to the meeting and handle everything. On the evening of November 6, 2017 I received a call from Bob, he said he was going out of town and wouldn't be able to make the meeting and asked me to go in his place and just tell them what the plans were for the siding. At this point I became upset with Bob because he sprung this on me at the last minute and I felt he wasn't taking this job seriously. About an hour after I spoke with Bob, I received a text message from him saying he was sorry for the frustration he caused me and he would be at the meeting. On November 7, 2017 the day of the meeting I went to city hall at 7 pm for the meeting to make sure Bob did as he said he was going to. When I got to the meeting Bob was not there, they board called my property and Bob was still not there so I went ahead and told the board the plans for the siding and they approved the permit. By the time the meeting was over Bob had not shown up. About an hour later I got a call from Bob, he claimed he called city hall and asked them where my property was on the meeting agenda so he thought it was OK for him to be late. I asked him why didn't he call me and tell me he was going to be late. I explained to him that I felt like he was giving me excuses and not taking this job seriously. I told him at this point I wasn't sure I even wanted him to do the work because up until this point he proved unreliable. Bob then offered to make my home equity loan payments for a couple months because of the hassle he had given me. I told him the payments were really small and I didn't feel that was adequate compensation for my troubles. I told Bob I needed a couple days to think and I'd let him know what I want to do. I spoke with Bob and I told him I would allow him to do with work if he gave me a 10% discount, he said that he couldn't afford it and so I said do 5% and start the work on a Saturday to make up for the day I took off work. He said he would have to talk to his workers about starting on Saturday. After Bob spoke with his workers he said he couldn't have them work on a Saturday and so I told him then I wanted a 10% discount, we went back and forth about it and came to an agreement of 1000 off of the job and they would start installing the siding on November 16, 2017. On the morning of November 16, 2017 I received a text message from Bob stating they wouldn't be starting work that day due to the weather. The following day November 17, 2017 I received another text from Bob stating that he wouldn't be starting the work that day and that he would call me that evening. Bob called that evening and informed me that with him giving me a 1000 discount the job was not profitable for him and that he would refund me my money (minus the 1600 for the window installation) and come pick up the materials he purchased. I agreed to that and he said he would be in touch the following week to make the exchange. I texted him on November 21, 2017 and asked him when we were going to make the exchange and he said he'd be in touch after thanksgiving to set up the exchange. Several days went by and I didn't hear from Bob so I sent him a text telling him I needed a date and time when he planned to pick up the materials and refund my money. He responded and said he needed to get a truck and would try to have it done towards the end of the week. I asked him for an exact date and time for the exchange and he did not give me one. I texted him again on November 30, 2017 asking him for an exact date and time for the exchange and he said he would have it taken care of over the weekend. On the morning of December 3, 2017 I texted Bob that if he didn't give me my money back and come get the materials I would be filing a complaint with the BBB. Bob responded with a threatening text telling me to get a lawyer and that I was trying to ruin his reputation. I spoke with Bob after that and he claimed that he doesn't have them cash on hand to give me my refund at the moment, I asked him why didn't you just say that instead of giving me the run around and how this goes back to his problem with communication. He told me he would have the money this week and would contact me on Monday December 4, 2017 to set up a time for the exchange. Bob did not call me that Monday like he said he would, or the following Tuesday, so on December 6, 2017 I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. After I filed the complaint Bob contacted me on Thursday December 7, 2017 and said he would pick up the materials on Sunday December 10, 2017. Bob showed up like he said. I he asked me to open the garage so he could get the materials and I told him I would when he handed me my refund. Bob then got mad and said "I don't have these issues with white people, it’s only the black ones that give me problems" (I am black) and he started complaining about how I filed a complaint against him with the BBB. He seemed to the think that his behavior was acceptable and proper business etiquette even though he had given me the run around for months and decided on his OWN not to do the job. Bob Hegedish is a racist, a liar and cannot be trusted. He talks a good game but when it comes to actually delivering on his promises he fails and tries to justify his wrong doings. He will probably respond to my review trying to justify his actions once again but don't fall for it. This man is a professional liar who cannot back up any of his promises, DO NOT do business with this racist man you will live to regret it.

  • They did a very good job and cleaned up everything. The guys were really courteous and communicated their progress throughout the four days it took to complete . Most of the contract details were communicated by email and they were always timely getting back to me with any answers or changes I requested. Pricing was slightly higher then quoted prices I received but the quality of work more than made up for that and they were willing to work with me a little.

  • It was a little rocky to get started. I set the appointment online during the checkout directly from Angie's List. I didn't receive a call or email acknowledging the appointment. When I called a couple of days later, I was told that an email was sent but nothing appeared in my inbox or spam folder. Not a big deal. They were able to set up an appointment with me over the phone. I knew I wasn't going to be home upon their arrival so I advised that my wife would be so they would have access. I mainly wanted to have them inspect and perform minor repair to any areas that may draw attention from a home inspector as we would soon be placing our house on the market. I advised my wife to call me if they had any questions. She called while they were at the house and I explained to one of the reps what I was looking for (tighten up any loose gutters and check roof and siding for areas of concern/repair). I also asked if they'd be able to check for clogged gutters/down spouts. He agreed and we finished up the call. When I arrived home, I could see that a couple of down spouts had been cleared but a couple of very noticeable gutter issues were not fixed. I asked my wife and she said that they weren't there very long after I hung up the phone with them. They did show her an area of concern around the foundation during this visit. I called back the next day to inform them that the inspection/work seemed to incomplete. They weren't able to come back right away. However, they did return for a 2nd visit (about 2 weeks later) and tightened up the loose gutters. No mention of any roof needs and only a mention of a bee's nest when updating my wife about the siding. Overall, Michael in the office and the guys coming to the house were very pleasant and professional. I think with some fine tuning in our communication, everything could have been done in one shot. It wasn't a very time sensitive or pricey project so it didn't come with extreme inconvenience. If I were staying in the area and needed work done, I'd give them another opportunity.

  • Dave Martinis responded to our call right away, looked at the garage, and gave us a very fair estimate. They completed the work in one day and did a careful, excellent job--the siding and window look great. The men who did the job were friendly and professional. We will definitely call Dave if we need such work done in the future.

  • They came out & did the job ASAP. Looks great - very professional. Job was in the winter & they worked well and efficiently despite marginal weather. I would hire again. They are a premium outfit so the quote was one of the higher ones I got but worth it in my opinion.

  • The project went smoothly from start to finish. Bob the owner explained completely what would be involved without applying pressure. He delayed the start of the project so I could complete some other work on the house, and when the time came, his crew showed up right on time to get started. I wish I could remember their names to give them a shoutout, because it was just a pleasure working with them. I would definitely hire Northeast again and recommend this company to others.
