AClink Builders & Contracting Co IncLou jacked up and added supports for a joist in my basement that was sagging. He got the work done in a timely manner and was easy to work with and the floor above is level now! He was able to do it without cracking any of the plaster on the floor above too. I'd definitely hire him again!- Sam H.

AWestern Reserve Home Inspection LLCWonderful. After a disastrous experience with Cramer Engineering (see that review), Jim Wright came out within a few days of talking with him. He has very thorough, listened to us and asked many questions, took pictures and a copy of our building plans. Within a few days, even with the holiday, provided us with a written report that made sense -- he summarized each issue in detail and provided a recommendation on how to address. This is what we needed to go back to the builder. And even came all the way back over to drop off our building plans to us. We are grateful to Mr. Wright -- just wished we had done our homework better and gone to him in the first place! COVID note - yes, he wore a mask and was very conscious of social distancing while in our home.- ELAINE B.

AWestern Reserve Home Inspection LLCI had seen a couple of minor ceiling cracks appear in my home and wanted a professional to assess the house's structural integrity. James was friendly, knowledgeable and understanding. We walked through the house and he was happy to have me point out my concerns, which he immediately addressed one by one. I would highly recommend Western Reserve Home Inspection.- Scott S.

AADW Construction LLCAdam and his crew at ADW Construction did an excellent job in the renovation of our front sitting room. This major multidisciplinary engagement began with removing a structural, load bearing wall. This required an in-depth engineering effort, a significant build out of the load bearing elements, electrical and HVAC relocation, in addition to the drywall and finishing tasks. Adam more than adequately communicated with us regarding timing, challenges, etc. and managed our expectations appropriately. Overall this was a pleasant experience with high quality results. We will be using ADW Construction for our future projects, no matter the scale/scope.- Brad H.

CArnold ConstructionLike any contractor they talk about how great of a job they do. In this case the kid has the knowledge to do a good job but like most fails on execution. He just can't do it. Ratter than bore you with the detail of how I got screwed by Arnold Construction I would just warn anyone that thinks about using him to not pay for the job until it has been completed and inspected. He also failed to contact zoning once the structure was completed to have an inspection. If you don't have an inspection you can't get other permits, like electrical, until the inspection is complete. There are to many other good contractors out their to waste your time with someone you can't trust. You've been warned.- kirk h.

AClink Builders & Contracting Co IncI would definitely hire Clink Builders again and would recommend them without reservation. There was approximately six months between when we signed the contract and when they were able to begin our project, but they were worth the wait. Their communication throughout the project was excellent and I was kept abreast of their progress, concerns, and project modifications throughout. I feel confident in the work that they completed and was impressed with the thorough nature of their clean up and communication throughout.- Sarah H.

DCramer Engineering, LLCWell, I should have checked the Angies List reviews before we hired them. They did come out promptly but then took nearly a month to provide us with a report that not only had numerous mistakes, but it came to conclusions that we knew were not correct. In addition to recommending nearly $20,000 of repairs. Paid them $600. We have since done our research and hired another structural engineer, Jim Wright, from Western Reserve Home Inspection who came out promptly, provided a report within a few days and provided the structural "details" that we needed to go back to the builder with. See our review on this 2nd inspection. As for Cramer -- would NOT recommend. In fact, I'm annoyed with AL -- because I thought I was searching for engineers in the first search box of the website like i used to -- and then could look at all the reviews. Instead, it took me though a series of questions and then the "PROS" reached out to us. I assumed these were vetted (i.e., ratings of a B or better). NOT SO. Now I see that Cramer has a number of D and F ratings. Hard, expensive lesson to learn.- ELAINE B.

AWestern Reserve Home Inspection LLCJim's detailed design was excellent. He made multiple visits to the home to ensure that the design would work. He interacted very effectively with the contractor that he recommended. Jim has excellent professional credentials. His work was completed in detail, on time, at reasonable cost. The beam is in place and working well. Jim and Western Reserve are highly recommended for structural design / engineering work.- DALE F.

AClink Builders & Contracting Co IncI recommend Clink Builders and Contracting without hesitation. Bill Clink is professional, very knowledgeable, honest, and straightforward. Bill is an expert in his field, and his crew is composed of skilled professionals who not only know their trade very well, but are always professional and courteous. The work we contracted Bill to do was complicated, so I’d like to go into some detail to describe what Clink Builders was able accomplish. Our home was built in the 1850s and one part of the basement was created in about the 1930s. The wall created in the 1930’s was in disrepair with leaning and shifting and multiple cracks and was going to collapse inward. During heavy rains, water would literally pour in through the wall. To complicate matters, our gas, water, and sewer, and electrical lines and breaker box were located along this wall. In other words, the entire wall had to be excavated without interfering or damaging any of those lines. We had consulted several contractors and Bill Clink was the only one who assured us that none of the lines or electric box would have to be moved, and he assured us our water, gas, and electricity would never be shut off during the process. Because of Bill’s many years of experience and reputation, we chose him for the job and are very pleased with the results. I’m not an expert, but it seems to me this was a very complex job. The house had to be supported on jacks, the exterior excavated without disturbing any of the lines, and the wall demolished and removed before a new foundation wall could be put in. Bill and his crew did all of this work without any issues, and the end results are fantastic. As Bill promised, none of our utilities were shut off during the process, and we did not have to vacate the house at any time. We cannot be more pleased with the work. The work done included excavating the foundation exterior, remove existing foundation wall, drain tile work and new downspouts, footer, build new wall with rods drilled into the footer, exterior wall plastered and sealed, seed, fertilizer and straw areas for new grass. Even though over two dump trucks of dirt and debris were removed from our property during the process, our property was left very clean… The new foundation wall is very solid, made with 12 inch block and reinforced every 48 inches. Bill put in a new drainage/downspout system and the wall is dry even during recent heavy rainfall. Bill gave us regular updates throughout the job and his crew was efficient, respectful and worked quickly. The entire job was complete in a little over a week. We found Bill to trustworthy, reliable and conscientious. He is thorough and does top notch work. Dottie, who works in the office, was a joy to work with and always helpful and dependable. It’s important to note that Bill personally supervised the work and was always available to answer any questions. His crew, which included his son, was outstanding. I highly recommend Clink Builders and Contracting.- Mary S.

AThe remodel turned out very well. The open concept opened up the the kitchen and made it brighter. There is now more usable counter space and usable cabinet/storage space. All new Amish made cabinets were installed along with new granite countertops, with a granite composite double sink. All new lighting was also installed. I am overall very pleased with the outcome.
