Garage Door Repair And Installation reviews in Solon

    Anytime Garage Door
Paid for Angieslist special for garage door roller replacement and inspection. He sprayed lubricant on everything and said that the door was fine, did not replace any rollers. It's not fine. It makes a kicking/popping noise when it opens. He did not hear it, but I explained it to him, and he did no inspection other than the rollers. He said to call when I hear it and he'll come out. I'll call, but it won't be this company.

    Advance Door Co
The company sent out a professional (Mike) within couple of hours from our initial call. He was swift and found a low cost solution to our issue. Didnt try to upsell. We were impressed by the fact that he braved such a snowy weather and bad roads to help us out. Will definitely use them and recommend them to others.

    Lake County Door
Matthew installed a new garage door opener and programmed the keyless entry and our van in about an hour. As we requested, he came early in the morning so we could have the work done around our work schedule. He was very helpful and everything went smoothly. He answered all of our questions. Our new opener runs much more quietly.

    Aaron Door Co Inc
I called and spoke to Linda who was so kind and very helpful when describing that our garage door spring had broken. She advised that there was an Angie's list special to fix both springs. Within 45 minutes Al was at our home fixing the springs! He finished within an hour and did a fantastic job. Amazing customer service and would recommend to everyone. Thanks so much!

We are a Police and Jail facility. It is VITAL that these Sally Port doors operate efficiently 24/7. We receive inmates from as many as 9 neighboring communities. Aaron door completed the repair the next business day after I made contact with them. To help matters, weeks earlier, I had 2 members of their staff (Lisa and Al) stop out to see our doors, take measurements and quote prices ahead of time. We the constant use these doors take, I wanted to be prepared. sure enough, we did our homework as a customer and their business.

Aaron Door's follow through, professionalism and repair work was excellent. I cannot see going anywhere else. This group knows what they're doing....and at a fair price.

Cleveland's Choice Overhead Garage Door Co
Based on very good reviews and a special offer through Angie's List, we contacted this company. The "Standard Diagnostic and Safety Inspection" which was usually $89.99 was discounted to $39.99, so that seemed reasonable (I doubt that my father would have considered calling them at the regular $89.99 price). Additionally, they supposedly give a 5% senior discount, so Dad said to go ahead and have them come out. On a positive note, they came out the same day - within 2 or 3 hours!
However, from the start, the technician - Benjamin - seemed to be pushing us to replace the entire unit (to the tune of around $500 - maybe more - I can't remember the exact amount). He told us that for the "Motor Service" - even just to reset the limits, they only had one price ($199.99), and until he actually did the work, he couldn't even tell whether the limits could be successfully reset!  And, if not, we'd still have to pay the $199.99!!  Beyond that, if he could successfully reset the limits, there would be no guarantee that doing so would last.  None of our options were very appealing, but we really needed the door working again!
After some discussion, he agreed that if he was unable to reset the limits, we could apply the $199.99 towards the cost of a new unit.  That seemed a little less risky, so we had him go ahead and do the "Motor Service."  Within about 10-15 minutes, he completed the work - successfully resetting the limits.  The "Standard Diagnostic and Safety Inspection" had also taken about 10-15 minutes, so for 30 minutes worth of work and approximately 10-15 minutes of discussion (he spent another 15 minutes trying to run our credit card - something with his machine wasn't working), we owed $239.98 - for work that isn't even guaranteed. We think that's very high.  And when my Dad asked about the senior discount, he said something about that already being reflected in the prices we were charged - but I don't think that's the case. Normally, such a discount shows up as a separate line item on an invoice, but it doesn't on our invoice from them.
In any case, while we felt the price was too high and didn't appreciate the attempt to push us into purchasing a whole new unit, we were glad to get it working again.  HOWEVER, just a few days ago - less than a month later, things aren't working properly already.  The limit settings seem okay, but the door won't close properly - when we press the button, it starts down slightly, but then goes back up immediately and the light blinks. To close the door, we have to press and hold the button until it's all the way down.  And, we cannot close it using the remote any longer - it starts down, but immediately goes back up.  Very disappointing!

    Precision Overhead Garage Door
Service here was fantastic. Our garage door broke on Christmas Eve and Precision had someone here the day after Christmas. Paul, the service provider, was great. Very friendly and knowledgeable. He showed me what was going on and what needed to be done. I felt completely comfortable with his analysis and recommendations. Once we figured out what needed to be done, he was able to complete the entire job in a matter of about two hours. Our garage door works like a charm now and is very quiet. I would use Precision again and I'd ask for Paul for sure.

    Charley's Garage Door Service

The torsion spring of my garage door is broken. I called several places on Friday, only Charlie's picked up the phone and also is available on Saturday. I scheduled a morning service. Next morning, Tri County called back. My phone has not been clear and I thought it was Charlie, so I ended up having Tri County do the job. I apologized to Charlie's contractor when he also showed up. Even though I didn't have Charlie's do the job, I like their responsiveness, punctuality and professionalism.

    Sears Garage Doors
The service was performed as described and no additional costs were added.  The only reason I am giving the service a B is because I wish the garage door was quieter when going up or down, but all in all they are much better than before the service was performed.

    Precision Overhead Garage Door
Repair person arrived on time and proceeded to diagnose the problem which I gave permission to fix. I knew the power garage door rollers were worn out. I wouldn't use again because they are too expensive but this was an emergency.
