My driveway required removal, redesign and replacement and it included the sidewalk to the stoop/front door. Redesign was meant to lessen a troublesome curve on a hill and make it easier to navigate, especially in the winter. Owner Dan, also being a snow plow guy, offered me good advice and I used it. Dan came out twice, and was not bothered by me needing to see the changes marked off again, for the second time. The cement design work on the finished drive and walkway surfaces really looks great. No other contractors even mentioned any top finish work like this and he still had the best price. Cleaning up after the job was less than I expected. Dan left excavated grass/soil chunks from the city approved changes, spaced along the newly redesigned and now poured drive. What grass/soil came out went back in place by me, little by little over the following three days. My only other expenses were a small seed bag, 1/2 bale of straw and a couple bags of top soil. I couldn't be more pleased with the final outcome. Even my neighbors stopped by to say what a nice looking job Mardan Cement did. Dan didn't leave before providing face-to-face instructions for new concrete maintenance. One week after the pour one of his guys came out and sealed the drive. They did a great job and I would not hesitate to recommend Mardan Cement to others. G.K., Solon

We hired B-Dry System to do the waterproofing and found the workers to be very punctual, friendly and they certainly they how to do the work. They answered any questions I asked and completed the work just as I was told it would be done. We are very pleased with our completed basement and would be glad to recommend this company.

I needed both storm and sanitary sewer lines laid from the back corner of my house to the street. A possibly invasive job. These guys are awesome. The price was great. Everyone from their money guy, crew chief, machine operator, even their laborers were excellent and seemed to know their stuff. They showed up when they said they would, worked continuously on the job, and finished on the estimated finish date with no extra charges. The job went smoothly and everything works fine. Bing, bam, boom. I can't say enough good things about them. Molto acclamazioni! (I hope that's right :) Thanks again.)

    Adelios Contracting Co
We had water coming into our basement at one corner of the house and 18 feet along one side and 3feet along the other side of the adjacent walls. Sergio came out and advised us on our options. We decided to have the waterproofing done from the outside. We are very happy with the work of Sergio's staff, hand-digging 8 feet deep along the outside of our house walls and doing a great and professional job. Thank you to Sergio and his staff and workers! We would highly recommend Adelio's to anybody!

Sergio sent out Jason and his crew to take care of the excavation of the trench , the removal of the existing pipes and installation of the new pipes with new clean outs. An equal section of sanitary sewer was also replaced to safeguard both sewer lines. It was a pleasure to watch the total precision work of this experienced crew. This was a big job and it was accomplished in a little more than one day, and a neat and clean work area left behind I A day after we had torrential rains again. We went to inspect the basement, totally dry, problem solved! Thank you, Sergio, Jason and crew and all the other company members that helped us. It was a pleasure working with you!

    Integrity Waterproofing
Overall, we were very pleased with the experience. It was a bit of a sticker shock at $6,550, but comparable to most other places. Steve came out for the initial consultation and explained the process and the product in detail. Not a high-pressure situation at all. We considered a couple of other places but ended up with Integrity. They came out when they said they would. It only took 2.5 days if I remember correctly. Completely dug out a trench, replaced drain tiles and pipes and finished with 3 clean-outs. Nice guys and hard workers. The only minor complaint I would have is that they didn't put all the landscaping back in same spot--some plants where moved and they did not overfill to compensate for settling, so I had to call them to have them come back and fill in with more dirt and gravel. (We have a 1/2 gravel seating area and 1/2 dirt/planting area in the front of our house). They did come back within the week and fill in those areas. We had this work done back in April 2017. It is now two months later and we have not had any issues whatsoever with seepage in our basement. (Before, water was seeping in at the seam of the wall and floor during every single rain!) I trust this company. They live up to their name. Even one of their competitors that we were considering had only good things to say about Integrity. (How often does a company say nice things about the competition?) All in all, we are very pleased.

Younger guys not really experience in heavy moving. Had to show them how to strap items to the dolly so the wouldn't get hurt. But they were hard workers and put in great effort. Job accomplished successfully!

Over the years the surrounding ground level has risen above our ground level sunroom. Every large rainfall caused flooding due to the fact that 2 sides of our sun-room had wood decking which silt, etc built up. Had several estimates for "fixes" until I discussed with Sergio (President) of Adelio's. Unfortunately Sergio recommended removing the decks, drain tile around the sun-room and tie-in all gutters which were only surface draining. Really didn't want to remove the wood decks, but was absolutely the best recommendation we had. A crew of 3 came and worked extremely hard, did an excellent job and phenomenal clean-up.

    Borowske Builders Inc
We've lived on our home for 21 years and many things are starting to wear out.  We started our renovations with replacing our old wood deck.  Dave from Borowske Builders came out to discuss our alternatives and the prices.
We decided to go with the Timbertech decking material.  Dave and his crew ordered the material, had it delivered and started demolition immediately.  The workers finished the deck in about a week and it is BEAUTIFUL!  The crew did a wonderful job on our deck keeping our yard clean during the process.  They said the deck would be finished in a week and it was done in a week.  We are very pleased and would recommend David and his crew to anyone wanting to redo an old deck.
We also had the company redo the woodwork on the front of our house as well as fix the frame of our garage service door.  Couldn't be happier with the results.
We plan on using Borowske Builders for other building projects in the future.

Underground Connections - Trenchless Sewer Repair

Holy Cow.  We can't say enough about Tom Carlisle and his business.  After trying to get several plumbers to come out to our house to inspect our lines after heavy rains caused flooding in our basement on several different days, we finally got a very well known company to come out and tell us that it would cost 100 bucks just to look with their fancy schmancy camera and then the guy quoted us $350 for the first hour and $260 each hour after that. (He said it would "probably be about 700 bucks or so."  He then said, after shining his flashlight into our drainpipe that he spotted mud and...well.."That's not a good sign.."  He proceeded to tell us that our clay pipes were probably broken in spots and his company could give an estimate on replacing the entire line and they have financing.  After painting a picture of doom and gloom, he said he would be out in two days to jet the roots out.  On the day he was to come, he didn't show up and nobody called.  That turned out to be a blessing in disguise.

THANK GOODNESS for Angie's List --where after some more searching, we came across Underground Connections.  After reading all the awesome reviews on this guy, we were sold.  We called. He came. He calmed out worries and said "It's probably not as bad as you think" and then told us that jetting the lines would probably take care of the issue.  On the first trip out, he took a look with the camera (NO CHARGE, I might add...) and said yes, looks like root balls and he could schedule for JULY 4th to come out and take care of it.  A holiday! (NO EXTRA CHARGE, I might add...).  Tom was EARLY, jetted out the roots in good time, and charged us exactly what he quoted us.  He said there is nothing wrong with our clay pipes, but because of the trees, we may have to jet for roots again in three or four year intervals; otherwise, we shouldn't have a problem.  No need to dig up the yard and replace the whole line.  (And this is a guy who runs a company that replaces lines! ) He didn't try to sell us on a line replacement (although I read all about the trenchless line replacement on his site and if I had to replace my line, I would definitely go with him).

Tom is HONEST and professional in every way.  Very, very down to earth, tell-it-like-it-is dude. I'd like to go out and have a beer with the guy.  Such a breath of fresh air.  Absolutely loved him.  I believe his wife takes the calls and operates the scheduling/receptionist end of things and my husband said she was awesome too--very pleasant and professional in every way.

Since then, no more flooding issues in the basement--and we have had some more bouts of heavy rain since he left.  This guy is the real deal. Stop reading other reviews and just hire Tom and Underground Connections!
