    I was rear ended on April 3rd 2014 and so I made a claim through my insurance Co.
    The repair called for the replacement of the rear bumper assembly of my Subaru Outback.
    The Insurance Co assessor estimated the cost at $1073.00.
    I contacted Solon Autobody on April 5th following the inspection by the insurance assessor and showed them the estimate. They agreed to do the work at the quoted price subject to no unseen defects being revealed on removal of the damaged bumper.
    They said it would take a couple of days to obtain replacement parts and that they would need to examine the parts carefully since their previous experience with this kind of repair had taught them that there were often defects in them and thus there was the possibility that they would have to return them and get fresh ones.
    My car was driveable so there was no immediate urgency so this was acceptable to me.
    Between April 5th and the 23rd I received two telephone calls from Solon Autobody each time stating that they had had to return defective parts to their suppliers. Eventually they called on April 23rd to ask me to bring the car in on Friday 25th. I picked it up on Saturday 26th.
    As far as I can see the car is as good as new!
    Not only did they repair the car, they also gave it a thorough wash so that it looked very smart.
    My impression is of a business that strives to do the right thing by its customers. They kept me up to date on their efforts to obtain good parts so that I understood the reason for the delay. Furthermore, it appeared to be important to them to ensure that the parts were of the best quality. When they did the repair it was done quickly and expertly.

    It went wonderful, they were really great. We had to have a rental car during the process of my car being repaired, and when  I arrived they called the rental company to make sure the car was coming to pick me up. They finished on time, and even detailed my car.

    I showed them an estimate from Ohio, they even had the nerve to say it was my insurance company that sent it to them. Mark told me when I first went in for the estimate that I would not be able to tell they painted it and he would even match all the hubcaps. I backed into a rail at my home and they also said he would fix it. I don't know if Mark left the job or what but Jay took over.  The paint job I was also disappointed in, he took it to make it a little better but I can still tell where it was. Mark told me he would do all of the hubcaps, Jay only did the one that was in the accident, so the others look bad. On the passenger side I myself put a scratch on my car from a rod rail iron, Mark said he would fix it just like he would do the other side where you couldn't tell. Jay who took Marks place took most of the rust off and filled it with putty, but you can see that it is there, seems like something I would of done. Jay is the head of the bodyshop, does not speak good English and you cannot read his hand writing. Mark told me it would take two days, here they told me 5 days so I got upset and left. When I went home I called Debbie, and said to take the time that was needed, I wanted a good job done. Jay said that I wanted it rushed. I didn't want to have a rental for that long. Jay was putting words in my mouth, like the dents in my car not from the accident. I said to Jay that I was talking about the paint finish on the drivers side. Because of his attitude I do not think he is someone who should handle customers. They said they had called me to pick up my car Friday or Saturday. On Monday I went and I had no missed calls, and offered to show him my phone. I gave him the discount from Angie's List, I did not get the discount from them, they said they had to go with my insurance according to cost. I disputed that so she lowered it. I had a front wheel alignment on there they were going to do but had got it done before in Ohio. Now trying to find the paper what they charged me for the front wheel alignment, it was 69.95 they took off 50.00 for it. They were going to charge me with the first appraisal $1570.21 so when I subtracted that I got $1500.26 so they said they took off 50.00 from that. Their grand total was $1568.53 this is where they brought up the insurance where they had to charge so much.

The Manager Dennis is very professional, detailed, and easy to talk to. He lets you know immediately what needs to be repaired, how much it will cost, and how long it will take.     This company repaired collision damage on my Subaru Outback. I took the car in to be evaluated and they set up an appointment to perform the repairs later that same week. The work was completed in 2 days. When I dropped the car off for repairs they gave me a courtesy ride home. The paint matched perfectly with the rest of the car and I have had no problems with the repair. The staff was very friendly. I chose this company because it was recommended by my auto insurance provider.

    Mayfield Collision was able to get us in to have our car repaired quickly and also gave the best quote for the same work( afew hundred dollars less).  They were able to match the "two tone" metallic paint on our Acura and also touched up a cut/deep scratch on one of the side mirrors..  The job was completed in the time and for the price quoted.  I would definitely use them again for auto body work.

    The quality was excellent. The owner is Jim Walls. He made sure it was clean, professionally done. If there was any problem, he made sure it was okay for us to come back or give me a call, but we never had a problem. He took very good care of it. It looked like brand new. It wasn't really expensive like the car dealership, that's why we chose to go to him.

    The two brothers who own this Solon shop really came through for us. After my teenager took off the bumper backing out of the garage, these guys came out to our house the same day -- that's right, you heard it -- drove it back to their shop, and reattached the bumper with a temporary fix AT NO CHARGE to allow us to drive the car until we figured out whether we were going with insurance on their estimate. They just asked we bring the car back to them if decided to do the repairs. We did a couple of months later. They did a great job and a very fair price. This is the type of quality and service that you don't find at the big dealers' body shops. By the way, they touched up a few other spots where paint was scratched and replaced burnt out, little bulbs on the rear as a courtesy, without my asking, also at no charge.

    The repair work was excellent and everything was done as promised.  They even repaired two extra dings that were not a result of the accident.  I love companies that go above and beyond.  They were so professional throughout the process and seem to really care about their work, so much so you even have the owners cell phone if you have any issues after the work is completed.  The Angie's List coupon for detailing was a bonus so I got mar car back looking all shiny and new on the outside and spotless inside too!   I would go back and have work done there anytime and recommend others to do the same.
