ASolar Is FreedomWe were very sceptical about solar and it seemed there were horrible stories. We decided to give Solar Is Freedom a chance. It has saved us alot of money on our electric bill and as soon as we have our panels paid off we will save even more! The customer service is the best. AHandy Men & Mrs Helper Kitchen & BathWe are selling our house, and this was done in response to requests from the buyer as a result of the inspection report. Several potential buyers commented on the cracked tiles. I contacted this company by email, got a timely reply with a request to call. I talked with Faith(Mrs. Helper)and she encouraged me to group several tasks together in order to make the trips cost effective. She also warned me of the worst case scenarios, and gave me cost estimates that covered these possibilities. The home inspector s report identified several tasks. Steve did the work. On day one(a Tuesday)he replaced the tiles, replaced the GFCI connector, replaced the wax rings in the two toilets, and caulked the bathtubs. On day two(the following Monday)he spread the grout between the kitchen tiles and he caulked the shower stall. Steve was very professional and efficient. AThe best part of Solar is Freedom is the upper management team. When issues arose, they responded personally to ensure that the issues were being addressed or fixed. We had a major hurdle with HOA, which I am fairly certain was really one 'vocal' person in the neighborhood. We got the approval for panels for one side of the house. This was a win because solar panels are not allowed as called out in the deed of restrictions for the neighborhood. After the first set of panels went up, we received a kickback from the HOA (neighbor) to move them to a different part of the house. Then, during the second visit from Solar is Freedom to move the panels, the company was contacted directly to NOT do anything. We were not contacted initially by the HOA (or the mystery neighbor). Finally, things were agreed upon and after the third trip to our home, the panels were installed. The situation written above shows the dedication that Solar is Freedom has with its customers and to solar. Each trip out is ~2.5 hours for them and the panel installers made three and the electricians made two. Being the first house in a neighborhood that frowns on solar panels is ... was a tough road. But with Solar is Freedmon's patience and help, maybe we opened the door for others to take advantage of solar energy. Things to know when getting started and if you have an HOA: 1 - Check the deed of restrictions. 2 - Call the HOA committee and get everything approved (in writing for a paper trail). Another note of worthiness is the competency and friendliness of the solar panel installers and electricians. They did amazing jobs and were very friendly to me and my family (my children wanted to watch them work). They also gave us details of how things work for our better understanding. They are all good crews.

AHad a lot of work done. I needed ceiling lights, connected to wall switches, put in for 4 second floor bedrooms, which had no existing light fixtures. Ed cut holes in the ceiling and installed 4 electrical boxes (fasten 3 studs and one brace). Then he went up into the attic, ran wire to the wall switch, and put in new double switches. He then installed 3 ceiling lights and one ceiling fan. Next he went back up into the attic and ran new wire into 5 closets, and installed lights in them. Those lights were connected to the double switches he had installed before. Ed then replaced an older ceiling light with a new one. Finally, he replaced a couple of older breakers with new ones and put in some blanks too. Ed charges a Flat Rate for the work, so if it takes longer, it does not cost more. He is very profession, shows up on time, and works hard for the entire time he is there. I plan on having him come back in the future to do some more work that needs to be done.

AYellowlite did a great job. They were competitive against other solar installers, and then offered an end of the year discount that made them the winning bid. Gross cost was $2.53/W, and I will get 26% back as a tax credit. It took ~8 weeks from signing contract to install, and installation took 3 days for the electrician, 1 day for rooftop crew. They were very flexible and great to work with. For example, instead of routing conduit on the roof to connect two separate panel sections, I asked them to go through the attic, and they made the change without a second thought. The quality was great, and the electrician took his time to make the installation look good. The city inspector didn't spend much time looking at the system once he knew it was YellowLite--he was already familiar with their quality. Although the final 20% was earned for them upon startup, I did have to chase down permitting status with the utility, but only lost 1.5 weeks of solar (in cloudy February).

AWe've been fighting an uphill battle trying to save this original, vintage depression-era sink. The company that manufactured it went out of business in the 1950s, and finding replacement parts has been a lost cause. We called 4 Star, and when Frank arrived and evaluated the situation, he gave it a top notch temporary fix, then told us where we might be able to find some new old stock faucets and trim to fit it. Sure enough...Frank was right. We ordered in the materials, and Frank took it from there, saving a sink that was originally manufactured and installed during the FDR Administration. It hasn't looked this good and worked this well since the boys came back from the Pacific Theater!

Bwhen tech showed up the dryer seemed to be working and heating however it did not when I called, seemed the heating element was cracked creating and off and on working condition. I went ahead to repair the problem by purchasing a new heating element. I was surprised however that the tech expected me to pay in full before he ordered the part and repaired the problem, but I did using my credit card knowing if there was a issue the credit card co. would have my back, The part was order and Alex fixed it as soon as it came in and was great
