AHometown Electrical DoctorChris has been here to do numerous projects from a outside deck rewire/repair, new GFI for new deck install. He inspects and makes sure all the old wiring he is replacing is to code and if not he brings it to your attention with a solution for resolution. We have Chris back time and again to make improvements on our home.- Tom N.

AThe House DoctorsMike Vecchio from The House Doctors is an absolute pleasure to work with. One of the few companies who actually came through with an estimate for a major rehab of my screened-in porch and other items. Mike's team (Mark and others) arrived when promised and worked on this job for several weeks until it was completed to my satisfaction. There were many facets to the job and the team was communicative throughout ensuring I was in agreement with everything they did. They even constructed a custom doggie door as part of the project! Reliable and trustworthy. I recommend The House Doctors.- Kimberley S H.

APriority One ElectricExcellent. Many suggestions for what is available that I would not have been aware of for a 100% replacement - including “smart home” features, tankless hot water, ceiling fans that lowered AC costs and enhanced my decor, landscape lighting tied into the smart home that really enhanced curb appeal, They made sure changes met or exceeded code. And they answered my many questions that came up regarding the smart home.- Bill K.

AAmerican Wood RefaceExcellent from beginning to end. The carpenter, Brandon, was exceptional, leaving the kitchen clean every night and kept things very organized in the garage as well. Melissa, the sales rep, did a great job at helping me make selections on cabinets and counters to achieve the look I wanted, and the granite company they worked with to install the counters was very solid as well. No complaints whatsoever.- Eric S.

ACG Electric LLCGreat Company, on time each day, did good work and even worked with me when I changed things. He also made several suggestions which were better for me and my house. Very reasonable and I will hire again and recommend him!- larry m.

DVery nice technician (Odell) however prices / recommendations for services needed were ridiculous! 1 GFI = $147 (part costs $15 at Lowes), 2 grounding/bonding sets for hot water tanks = $260 (part costs $8 each at Lowes). He recommended all my smoke alarms be replaced because he "assumed" they were >10yrs old = $880! He was a bit taken back when I told him these had all been replaced just 3 months ago (he never looked inside any of the smoke alarms to look at date).....so when it comes to Odell's recommendation to replace 2 electrical panels at $1700 each.....I have no reason to believe that this is necessary and I can only assume the prices are inflated as everything else on the list was inflated (or not necessary). I may need to have the panels replaced but I don't trust Streb/Odell's opinion. VERY disappointed as Streb got great reviews on Nextdoor and Angie's List -- and I like to support local businsses. But I'll be looking for someone elses to review/assess what Odell assessed in my home. I was ok paying the $69 for this "inspection" but realize now it was just a scam to try to sell me services/products that I may or may not need. So....I'm still shopping for an honest and affordable electrician.

AI particularly liked that the technician who ultimately did the work was the one who came out, scoped the project, and provided an estimate. That allowed us to discuss the details and explore options before the work was actually done. It also gave me an opportunity to meet the technician who was going to do the work. Matt was on time, thorough, gave me a chance to view the progress of the project, and completed it within the time frame expected.

AI could not have asked for a better experience. The work was done on my mother's home while I was visiting from out of state. Mike came to the house for an initial call to look at the basement because the light switches were not working. He quickly identified issues with the panel and outside service. He was able to schedule those upgrades during my next visit to town. On the day of the upgrades Mike and Rob were on time, gave us plenty of warning before the power was shut off and were very thorough in showing me all the work that had been done and answered any questions I might have had. They pointed out some additional work that will need to be scheduled in the future. Rob and Mike were terrific. Rob played great music while he was working in the basement and Mike made sure to show me where the electric line to the house was in need of repair by the power company due to pressure from tree branches and wire coverings that had begun to decay. Mike even checked in a few weeks after the work was done to see if my mother had any problems. She did not. I will definitely call Advanced Tech for work on the house.

FCalled regarding an electrical issue, dispatch sent an HVAC person "free for new customers" HVAC inspector disassembles the furnace under the guise of inspecting the device, says that he doesn't think the furnace will work when he puts it back together then says that this visit is no longer an inspection but is now a diagnostic visit and charges us $120.00. Total SCAM. Electricians came an hour after and were great, but the HVAC visit drags what would otherwise be a good review down to a 1 star, if not lower.
