  • When we arrived we met the representative of the company and she interviewed my mom and took some of her measurements .A month after they took her measurements they delivered the chair.  When the chair arrived it was much too small.  My mom said she felt like it was for a child.  We had a thirty day return policy. We called Health Aid of Ohio and told them to come pick up the chair.  The representative came over and told us that they could make the chair larger for her.  We asked her if we still didn't like the chair would we run past the thirty day return policy.  She told us no, they would begin the new policy when we got the larger chair.  We agreed.  The chair was fine except for one problem   We needed full length arms as my mom needs those arms to push up to stand.  The arms didn't come forward enough.  We contacted the company and they set a date for delivery of new arms.  When the date came they didn't show.  We called them again and they came a week later.  The arms were the same length.  We told them we wanted to return the chair, but they said they would find longer arms and would get them and contact us.  So we waited.  We never heard from them and called them three months later.  They told us those were the longest arms made for that chair; which was an Invacare chair,  We told them to come get the chair we didn't want it.  After they picked up the chair, we got a bill for a three month rental; approximately seventy dollar copay and they charged her insurance about two hundred dollars.  This was partly our fault as we didn't keep after them and waited so long.  We thought we could trust them.  About a month later we received a second bill.  They charged out insurance company a second time for another rental fee for the same chair.  This time the amount was over $800.00 my mom's copay was about $130.00. Through other means, we later found an Invacare chair with the correct length arms but for whatever reason, they didn't make that model available to us.  We also found that about fifty percent of the time when we called them we had to leave messages, they were not good at answering their phones nor returning call from messages we left.

  • It went well except the matching of the tub color. Didn't appear to even try to mix to match. Wish I had known in advance that this would be an issue.
