AHAUSER FURNITURE & CARPETINGAs much as I enjoy dealing with Hauser's, I have one major complaint about the showroom. THIS STORE'S SHOWROOM IS NOT WHEELCHAIR-ACCESSIBLE. The front door has a step up to get into the main floor, which my wheelchair cannot climb, and inside the showroom there are only stairs for getting from one level to another. There is no elevator for wheel-chair access to the different levels. When I bought my apartment furniture, a friend went with me and she actually went into the store and took photos of different pieces and brought her cell phone out for me to look at. This was a successful but very cumbersome way to shop. As for the cabinet I recently ordered, I called the store and told the salesperson what I needed, and he directed me to some websites where I found exactly what I was looking for. I called the store back and placed my order. If my friend had not established a relationship with Hauser's furniture before I moved from NY to Ohio, I would never have become a Hauser's customer. (I would not shop at a store I was unable to enter in my wheelchair.) However, because my experiences with Hauser's have been so positive, whenever I need furniture, appliances, or other similar household goods, this is the first place i will check. A1 Call Does It AllI found the "1 Call Does It All" business card hanging up at the local grocery store. I wrote the number down and called it. I left a message and he got back to me within a hour. He was able to fit me in the very next day since I had a leak that may have been causing damage. Very pleasent experience and will trust him with work at my house again.- Dara W.

AAPPLIANCE CONNECTIONArrived on time, repaired the dryer. Am extremely pleased with their work, promptness, interactions and pricing. This is the 3rd service they performed for me. On 11/4, they repaired an oven door that never worked properly that I purchased from Braunlich's who insisted thats just how that model was. This is the way it should have worked when it was new! They also repaired and icemaker, again anothe purchase from Braunlich's!. I live in TX and visit my parents often, my time is limited in searching for reliable honest people when I visit home.- Monica S.

DLOWE'SWith Lowe's discounts, the price of the GE washer and dryer was great. However, that was the end of the greatness. At the time of purchase, while still at the store, the salesperson suggested we would need a new power cord for the dryer, which we bought. There was no mention of possibly needing new hoses for the washer. She also set up an appointment for delivery and installation for Friday the 24th and said they would call Friday morning with an approximate time of delivery. When we hadn't heard anything by 3pm, we called the store and were told our delivery was scheduled for Sunday. We knew this was not right as we watched the salesperson put in the delivery day of Friday and also that we were planning to be out of town all day Sunday. They told us they'd squeeze us in on Saturday, which they did. Two delivery men brought the new appliances and removed the old ones. However, they refused to hook either of them up, said they couldn't hook up the dryer with our plastic ventilation hose, which we understood to be correct. But they also said they wouldn't hook up the washer because the connectors on the hoses were corroded. This was completely untrue. They left everything unconnected and the hoses laying in the laundry tub, which were removed later so we could use the sink. When we got up Sunday morning, half of our fully finished and carpeted basement was under two inches of water!! The delivery men had neglected to turn the hot water valve off. I called the store and told a manager what happened; he was so rude I basically hung up on him. Still feeling that Lowe's was responsible, I called again and spoke to the store manager. He was nicer but still wouldn't take responsibility for his service people. He offered us the use of a rental rug scrubber or a fan; we have a rug scrubber so turned that down but said we'd gladly accept the industrial fan. I was then told, sorry, due to the hot weather, there weren't any. If it had happened the week before, he would've had one. My brother finally went to the store in my behalf to speak to the manager in person. Through very reasonable arguments, mainly that Lowe's service people are supposedly professionals and that a store as big as Lowe's surely carries insurance to cover incidents like this, the manager did admit he handled it in the wrong way. So what did he do? Gave me a $75.00 Lowe's gift card!!! (in all fairness, he did say if we brought it back in and wanted cash, he would do that). Our basement, which is used as living quarters for my daughter and her toddler, is stil very damp and mold is growing and has a terrible odor. The washer and dryer are sitting in the middle of the floor that didn't get flooded. I wish we'd spent the extra money and dealt with professionals who are customer and service oriented.- rhonda m.

FCAROLINA FURNITURE COThe owner was so nice and friendly upon ordering this set. Once we informed him of defects his mood changed. He stated that everyone has a different level of satisfaction and nothing is made perfect and we had to be understanding of this. He came out and made the repairs and ordered the replacements. While waiting for the new pieces we noticed and company did also that there was an indent across the top of the table. When you touched your fingertip across the line you could even hear that the laminate had unadhered itself to the table. Also all the repairs he had spent time on had failed. The fillers had smudged out and were obvious again and some of the stain had turned like cherry on this walnut finish just in a matter of 8 weeks. When they called to schedule to place the new pieces on, I left a message about this and that it was defective and we wanted a new table and chairs or a refund. I had to call back and talk to the owner because he didn't return my call. I spoke with Bill Pajak and told him of these issues and he said that the finish we picked will show everything and we obviously had a different level of satisfaction then his other customers. I told him that it was expensive and suppose to last, not show up new in this condition. He said he would have to get a Chromcraft representative involved and that he would give his honest opinion that our table had "minor imperfections" I told him that the laminate coming off of the table wasn't minor and that anyone is welcome and him to come check this out. He said to give him a day or two to handle this, this was Oct.22. We had received the table and chairs on August 7th. A week later on Oct.29th I had to call him back and I asked what the rep had said, Bill stated that he was in the middle of this process and had to finish it and he had a busy week the week before, I asked what that meant and I asked if he had even called them yet, he said "no". I told him he had informed me only a day or two and it had been a week and that I wasn't going to go away. Out of no where he got very loud as if he had an audience and said " you don't have to threaten me and be an in-your-face type of customer" I was in shock!! This soft spoken friendly business owner had turned belligerent and unprofessional in a matter of seconds. He kepted saying loudly how offended he was that I was threatening him and he wasn't going to listen to me, I kept telling him that I did not threaten him in anyway and I just said I wasn't going to go away and that he was dodging us. He said have a nice day and hung up on me. My husband called him back, who had listened to the whole thing, and told him not to talk to me that way or act like that and Bill told him that if my husband didn't listen to him that he was going to hang up on him too. Bill told my husband "you are not experience or educated enough about this type of thing to make a decision whether or not it is defective". We were so insulted!! My husbandoffered to bring it back and we would just get a refund and he said "That's not going to happen". He kept going on about level of satisfaction and how much time he spent repairing the defects that day. My husband again informed him that all the repairs had disappeared and that the laminate was coming unglued from the table top. We cannot discuss this any further with him, he is so unprofessional and isn't going to do anything about it. We were so upset, he was so nice when we ordered it. He had already gotten paid and now was cruel to us. We are now going through Chromcraft and the Better Business Bureau to help resolve this issue. We will never buy from him again and I hope no one else ever gets treated like this. I'm still in disbelief that someone in sales or a business owner can speak to and disrespect their customers in that manner.- Shannon C.

Fhhgreg appliancesHhgregg opened new branch in Saint Clairsville, we were on our way to Sears but stopped there purchased new washer and dryer on sale! yay! then.............. 1st delivery.....Delivery scheduled between 5-8 came at 11pm washer and dryer both dented. Next day...Washer did not spin out. Dryer light did not work. 2nd delivery......Washer dented.....selection knob did not work...... 3rd delivery......Washer did not spin out...... Was told to come into store and they would make it right waited 1 hour to talk to manager was told I was washing clothes wrong I am 40 years old........ 4th delivery......washer still does not spin out regularly and am now waiting for repairman as my 30 day return policy is up. Repair service they use has rescheduled 2 times and can't guarantee they will come that day. Hhgregg states that since we got "such a good price on sale they cannot compensate us for issues!" I have many words but the facts should stand alone....GO TO SEARS!!!!!!- Lori K.

AI ordered an Acrylic turntable cover for my new audiophile turntable - Dr. Feickert Woodpecker with Origin Live illustrious tone arm. I got the "floating cover", which sits on the top of the turntable plinth via 4 seating blocks. This cover is a beautiful work of art, literally could be used in an art museum display. it is very sturdy and extremely well finished. The pricing was very, very reasonable and I have never seen better or more secure packaging. Shipping was received as was promised and in a timely fashion. APERFECT. The team was so fast and helpful. There was no damage to any of our items including the car they moved. Nothing was left behind and we were able to do a FaceTime walk through once they packed up our apartment. This is the second time we've moved with them and we could not recommend them more.
