Window Replacement reviews in Rocky River

Met with the salesman at our house where we looked through the options. He took preliminary measurements and gave us a price. There are some discounts available and deals, depending on the time of the year, which you should be on the look out for. After you have made the purchase, another person comes to take the exact measurements of the windows. You should allow about 2 months for the windows to be custom made. The installation is scheduled when the windows have been made and delivered to their installers. The installation took one day to tear out and install the new windows. The installation was very professional and clean.

It started off spectacular! I sent a request online yesterday and within one minute my husbands phone was ringing! We set an appt. for today. Jake Frantz showed up 5 minutes early and had a wonderful presentation - unlike any of the other businesses we were getting quotes from as the others came in, handed us a brochure, took pics, and were on their way. Jake not only did a wonderful presentation, explaining everything, but he provided us the cost on the spot. He was very easy to deal with and was very kind, answering all of our questions. We missed the Tribe promotion but he negotiated fairly and he left our home knowing he made us very happy customers!! We can't wait for our new windows to be installed! Great job to Jake and we were very impressed with the expectations Universal Windows has on their employees which was proven by Jake today. Thank you! -Lisa & Russ

Window Systems came to repair a sunroom window at my home over 3 years ago. In the process of trying to repair they cracked the window and then kept on delaying fixing (waiting on parts) - eventually stopping returning calls with an ETA. After filing a complaint with BBB the owner showed up and committed to fixing. That was over 18 months ago, window still cracked. I attempted on countless occasions to call the owner with no response. Not only do I have the original problem of drafts in my windows, I now have had a cracked glass in one window for 2 years that was cracked by them. All of this is fully documented including voice mails from the owner. PLEASE take you business elsewhere - this company is a disgrace and don't trust anything the say - from the owner to the staff.

Campo has seen us through some tough times. Our prior home in Stow had some design flaws, poor insulation work, and pest issues. They helped us troubleshoot and we used them for full roof tear off and replacement with gutters in 2014 ($11k). They did a fabulous job in 2 days with Amish crew 7 a.m.-4 p.m. We stayed in touch with them and Rob came all the way out to the West side in River to help put a chimney cap on and seal perimeter gaps/flashing after recent purchase ($350).

All in all,  the job went mostly as planned, except for a few glitches with the grids not fitting.  It did set the job back from being completed for about 2 months, but it was just cosmetic.  We had two windows without grids for that time.

A GI Window Cleaning did an excellent job. Due to a cement driveway replacement by our neighbors this summer, we had very dirty windows on the west side of the house. Today they look spotless as do the rest of the windows. I will be calling them again.

Windows are in so that is a good thing... I think they are coming back to finish the aluminum wrap on bay window sill. There is an open gap between layers of sheeting. It look unfinished . I asked installer about it and he saidd I am not finish...I assumed it was taken care but ..not so.
I had trouble communicating with the company and getting details about what work they were providing. The sales man promised the wood around the bay window waas to be taken care of. I trusted him . But after thinking about it I wondered what that meant. I have asked many times for an explanation and was told not to worry. I asked salesman, office personall and measured. IExpressed my concern in multiple emails... Never got a direct Answer
Although they were very quick to point out I had signed a contract and they would take legal action against me if I backed out of contract...
Friday the installer arrived with lumber so I thought it would fixed. But.. He then said the wood was sound . He suggested wrapping the window sill and the bottom portion of the bay window. I agreed. Then when I went out to check how the job was coming along.. He said he was not going to do that. He would have to talk to someone at the company...I pointed out areas that were rotten ..instilled said you can put wood putty over it.
The windows are ok but the outside looks terrible. Honestly, I feel like crying. It looks terrible. It was not cheap my any means.. I expected to more.
The first disappointment is the companies refusal to communicate what was going to be done and next is the end product. The third is that the color was wrong... There is no window in my interior that is beige /ttan and my woodwork is white. I spoke the salesman at great length. When he read order. Back to me he said beige /tan in and out - I said NO want white inside. He replied That Is right. White... my mistake. I him writing so I thought he corrected it. What did I get beige/tan IN and Out. My Own own stupidity I suppose so I accepted the wrong color just to get the encounter over with.

Yet I am still puzzled Why they never would answer my questions before the job started. I would have known what to expect.

My guess is because they knew they would do as little as possible ... I am widow who is having her 1st experiences of purchasing services on my own.

All and all I feel played..

Hope if you use them all goes well

The entire job was completed in a timely and professional manner. Although this was a reasonably small job, it was done with pride. In the past, I have had Fairview Home Improvement replace all my windows, sliding glass doors and doors, I always go to them for improvements.

Both windows installed were damaged.  Apparently they were not inspected.  They do look great but they should have never been installed.  The installers and service manager have been very helpful.  The sales person was very responsive initially. For what we paid I expected more.  I did a lot of research and settled on Champion because they seemed like a quality outfit and delivered a quality product.  We had four additional windows we planned to replace but they don't seem interested in our add on business since we expected our initial order to be done correctly.  Perhaps it is because I had concerns initially about the color we selected and now they find me difficult to deal with.  At least that's the impression.  When you are spending 11k you want to make sure it is right.
They do intend to replace the damaged windows but I now need to live another two months with unfinished trim. Two kids birthday parties and a family gathering planned in our home while we wait.  Bottom line is inspect the windows before installation.

I found Dan and Tim from Zen Windows to be professional, courteous and quick to answer questions. I particularly appreciated the quote process that involved my taking a picture of the window and emailing it to Dan. From that picture Dan was able to provide a working quote and then, once we approved the quote, Tim made a visit to finalize window measurements. With busy family life I liked that I did not have to be home for three visits from the provider.  Our window was delayed due to the holidays (bad weather/odd size) however once the window became available it was installed.  Tim arrived promptly at the scheduled time and worked quickly and efficiently to install the window. The area was thoroughly cleaned before he left and we were given clear instructions on drying time. I would not hesitate to contact Zen Windows for further window needs.
