Professional Work reviews in Rocky River

I broke a piece of vintage stemware and found this business on Google. Via email, he said he could repair it. I sent it as instructed. Two weeks later I had heard nothing. I called and emailed with no response. Then I noticed that the company's website had been taken down. I then discovered that this company has received an F from the Central Ohio Better Business Bureau. Because of the sentimental value of the stemware to me, I hired a professional private investigator to physically go over the the business and retrieve my stemware, which they did, at great expense to me. At least I had never given this company my credit card information.

Even better than expected and due to other reviews, my expectations were pretty high. The price was great, it didn't take long, and the work excellent. They said they would rewire, but that also included replacement of 4 sockets and two switches and a broken part that I did not anticipate would be replaced. Cannot say enough about the quality of the work. They came back into the house ready to hang.

After speaking to multiple tutoring companies, we discovered Matthew. Matthew was very professional and made my son feel comfortable. They had a total of 5 tutoring sessions covering Math, English, Science and Reading. My son took the ACT after his tutoring sessions and scored a 23. We were very pleased with the progress our son made by going from an ACT score of 19 to 23 after only 5 sessions with Matthew. I would highly recommend Matthew J. Horwich to anyone needing tutoring.

I was very pleased with the people I dealt with and with the workmanship. They could have managed my expectations better; the repair took longer than I was told it would, and I would have appreciated a call to tell me so. But overall, I was well satisfied with the service.

The service I received from AVI was top notch and incredibly affordable. In addition to helping me make all the connections, AVI also optimized my TV resolution settings so I could get the best value out of the new purchase. Great customer service.

There are amazing people They're family owned delivery service. He picks up from homes and delivers to homes. They have people just call to say how nice they were and what a good job they did. Most of the time people don't bother to do that, they want to call and complain. We use them every once a week at work. We're looking to move and he would be moving us. They're so good. He gave me a deal. The price is very reasonable.

We found Gary on Angie's List and did a super job helping us inspect 2 potential homes for purchase. Prompt, nice, and thorough. Highly recommend. The realtor that opened the doors on the homes for us thought he was great too.

I called them about pixelation on several channels, and now the voice and picture go sporadically out of sync. They made 2 house calls, the first was on the 5th of January. They came out to the house but the issue persisted. I called them again, and they asked me to be patient because they were having issue in several states. I waited a week and called them again. A technician came out a second time on Jan 22nd, but he was unable to resolve the issue. They charged me $75 for the service calls and nothing has been fixed. I'm paying for a service I'm not satisfied with and not receiving.

I was able to go in and find Noon's sharpening station set-up right near the door. I dropped off my knives, paid for the service and then left for about an hour. If Noon would have been gone, I could have picked my knives up at the store service desk, but he was just finishing up my knives so I picked them up from him. It was easy and my knives are now sharp again!

I dropped off a men's 18K yellow gold wedding band with milgrain beaded edges to be stretched or sized one size larger.  I was told by the counter assistant that it was unlikely the jeweler would be able to stretch the ring one full size without some cracking, etc so it would need to be cut and a small piece spliced into the ring.  The cost would be $60 plus tax and it could be ready in a few days.
On the positive side, the price was reasonable and the ring was ready when promised.  It was sized properly (if anything it's a hair larger than I actually need but it stays on just fine).  And it was polished beautifully.  As I left the store on November 5, I didn't realize that a key design element of the ring was gone...
Later that afternoon, I realized that the milgrain edging along both edges of the ring had been polished almost completely off.  You can still see where the edging originally was (at least along one edge) but for all intents and purposes it's gone.
I contacted the store (as I was at an airport headed out of town for a week), letting them know all this and asking them if they could restore the milgrain edging.  Their first response was, "it was pretty worn when you brought it in" but they'd take a look at it.  I replied assuring them that I knew the ring had "some mileage" on it (as I've been married 27 years) but that I remembered the milgrain edging at least 80-90% in tact.  They promised to take a look and see what could be done when I returned to Cleveland a week later.
I stopped by today to see what could be done to restore this edging.  The jeweler was very hesitant to do anything.  He offered to re-etch the lines where the milgrain beads used to be but made it clear that it wouldn't be the same...  And he was worried that after he invested that effort that I wouldn't like it or something else...  It was evidently clear from his hesitation and resistance that he would not restore the ring to its original condition.
When splicing a piece into a ring, I fully understand that the beaded edging would be damaged at that splice location.  I also recognize that after 27 years of marriage, the ring had some scuffs and signs of wear.  But there's no way in the world that normal wear and tear had polished off two different beaded edges completely.  Furthermore, he took a digital photo of my ring when I dropped it off.  He should know exactly where it was worn and where it was not worn.
I was expecting an absolute "we'll make it right" attitude, based on other Angie's List reviews.  I got nothing like that.  I wasted my time.
Now the single most important piece of jewelry I have is changed forever.  Shiny and looking new, but missing the whole design element that was the reason my wife and I chose that ring 27 years ago.

At a bare minimum, the jeweler should refund my money completely.

    I won't ever go back.
