It was amazing! Annette was great and my dog loves her (too much). Being a first time dog and corgi owner, she really teaches you some great techniques to take home. My puppy loooooved agility and Annette was always super patient with her (which she needed my puppy is so barky). She also made sure everyone in the class got their own moment of attention when needed. There was an adorable Aussie in our class who really had a lot of fear of new objects in agility but Annette took the time and effort into showing the dog - without forcing - that she could do it to build up her confidence. While we are taking a break for the holidays, I will most definitely be back for more agility training and tricks!

Things went well, and the employees we worked with were very empathetic and understanding. The location is not the best, as far as looks and location, but they did a very good job handling our request.

They're a really good organization. I was impressed because before they adopt a dog to you they come to your house and do a check and visit. They ask why and what are your plans. They also make sure you have a fence. They have a contract you have to read and sign saying if you give the dog back within 6 months there's some financial penalties. They're a first class organization. They're careful about the owners they select.

My cats are shy and will hide from anybody other than me, but all was well while I was gone. Jacqueline takes care of mail and newspapers, feeds the cats, and cleans the litter boxes. When I returned home, all was as I wanted it to be.

That's a special deal from her because this is a study out of Colorado on Golden Retrievers that have cancer. My dog is 5 years old and she's been in the study since she was a puppy. My vet does not charge me very much because this was her idea. She might be a little high on price. I don't ever have to wait to be seen. She loves my dog, she's wonderful with her. I keep going back because she is very responsive to my dog, very caring, and she is willing to go the extra mile if there is a problem.

We have had our cats on their Wellness plan for over 13 years. All of the vets there have been very professional & compassionate. The front desk staff & vet techs have also been wonderful over the years. The staff recognize us & our pets before we even sign in. I trust that my pets will be adequately cared for. I have had services ranging from semi-annual comprehensive exams to minor surgery. Last year, we had to euthanize one of our cats, & the Banfield staff could not have been more understanding and compassionate throughout the process. I recommend their services to everyone I know.

Fabulous! Jacqueline treats our pets as though they are her own, and we feel like she is an extension to our family. We have used Jacqueline's services for many years, and she has remembered our pets from one year to the next. I always feel that my feline "kids" are in great hands and will be well cared for. She pays attention not only to the feeding and clean-up, but also to their personalities and attitudes. Most recently, she spent some extra time with one of our cats who seemed out of sorts that we were gone which we very much appreciated.

Furball Fitness Dog Walking & Pet Care
We were super impressed by the service provided by Furball Fitness! Each time Shannon or her associate visited our home we received individual photos and sometimes additional group photos of the cats. Along with the photos were text messages reporting on how the cats were doing. One of our cats had been traumatized as a kitten and, although he didn't take part in the cuddling and mostly stayed hidden, it was wonderfully obvious from the few photos of Mister Mon that he was doing very well. The assurance that our cats were not only content, but happy, allowed us to relax and really enjoy our vacation! We will definitely be referring Furball Fitness to friends and neighbors and contacting them for any future needs on our own part.

Contacting this business was challenging. Many days, their phone was simply directed to a voice mail system. When I finally did make contact, someone answered the phone with absolutely no indication of the business name. I asked if I had reached the right number. The groomer called me "hon" and asked if she could call me back in 30 minutes. She did not. I called her back and she made some comment about "not forgetting me," which was frustrating.

While perhaps distinguishable for tax purposes, "A Dog's Best Friend" is otherwise the same as "Central Ohio Dog Grooming Academy." It is located in a dilapidated, unappealing strip mall that also includes a drive-thru package store and a bingo hall. Walking into the grooming "salon" made no better an impression. The white-washed wood paneling was lined with cheap statues of dogs and there were live cats wandering about freely. The not-quite-secure gate separated the grooming area (and allegedly an "academy?") from the drop-off location. A woman who I assumed to be the owner met me at the gate in too-short cut-off shorts and a shirt several sizes too small while drinking some type of beverage out of a large, styrofoam cup. Though escorted, I took my dog to the holding/crate area myself, which I found odd. The towel in the crate was stained yellow. Though that does not imply dirtiness, it does imply that their bleaching process is inadequate and leads me to question other cleaning procedures. In addition to the proprietor and her employees, other people with seemingly no culpability had access to the grooming area. A man who appeared to be the proprietor's intimate partner (boyfriend/fiance/husband/etc.) had access to the area, delivering Tim Horton's breakfast sandwiches and a sugared coffee of some kind. Simple professionalism would call into question any number of these decisions.

As I left, I was told that my dog would be finished "by three," though I was never given a specific time. I asked the proprietor specifically to call me when my dog was done, but I received no phone call. I understandably became concerned as the clock began to run out on "three," so I called. I actually called three times; each time the call rolled to a voice mail whose number was different than the business number. Worried about my dog, I promptly drove there (at 3 p.m.). My dog was being finished just as I pulled up. Upon entering the establishment, the place smelled strongly of vanilla and cigarettes. It dawned on me that I had dropped off my dog prior to them grooming any dogs (or taking any of what must have been numerous cigarette breaks). The pungent vanilla spray they used on the dogs was overwhelming and the bows put in  my dog's hair were purple leopard print, which I didn't realize was a combination occurring in nature. I was repulsed by the entire encounter (in totality), so I simply paid (including tip, because I'm not a monster) and left. When I took my dog to the car, it became immediately evident that she had not had access to water or a bathroom break since I left her in their care.

When I finally got her home to examine the cut more fully, it became immediately apparent that there were long spots that were missed and that the trim was generally somewhat uneven. It wasn't awful, but it wasn't great, either. I'm not sure much "training" was going on there. Though we had a positive experience (however slow) with PetSmart, we were shopping for a cheaper price. Well, sometimes you get *exactly* what you pay for. Honestly, for being a grooming academy -- which is the number I called, not any separate number that may or may not exist for "A Dog's Best Friend" -- the pricing was not particularly cheap. For an additional ten or fifteen dollars one can receive a full service from a reputable groomer in a location that is about as cheery and dog-friendly as a fall-out shelter. I would never, under any circumstances, take my dog back to this unprofessional "academy."

While I would be painting the review with too rosy a brush if I didn't mention that the groom took an unacceptably long time, that inconvenience was offset by the clear investment of the groomer, Alexx, in my dog. My dog can be a bit anxious from time to time, but Alexx made her feel relaxed. I was expected a disaster when I picked up my dog, but instead she was happy. That was much more important than an hour and a half wandering about PetSmart. Further, Alexx took the time to remove all of my dog's tangles. I had just adopted my dog, so this was her "reset" haircut, and it accomplished its purpose perfectly. She now has an even, well-cut baseline from which we can explore more complicated cuts. I was very happy with Alexx's investment in my dog's happiness and the quality of her own work.
