  • On our particular day the associates were late. We were the first appointment of the day and they were late. My husband said the exam went OK. When they told us to go and look at the glasses the guy came out right away to help us, but he had nothing to buy. When we done with the appointment we got no assistance. No-one was in the office, no-one was at the phone. We looked around for about five to ten minutes and we've got no help. So we chose not to get our glasses from them. My husband said the eye doctor herself did a thorough exam, but the doctor was late and the associates to let them into the office were late. It just didn't impress us. We will probably not go back to them again. As a matter of fact, I went back to our previous doctor. So it wasn't that they didn't do a thorough job, it's just the courtesy of our time was not there. I understand everybody could be late occasionally, but when both the doctor and the associates who has the key to open the facility are not there when your appointment is supposed to be, there is a problem.

  • My eyes were thorougly examined by a series of technicians and Dr. Erdey.  It was a very busy afternoon  and I was there longer than I wanted to be.  But I felt that I got the attention and expertise that I wanted.  I have been there before and will continue to go there on an annual basis due to certain eye conditions that I have.

  • I am very happy with the quality of service we receive from Dr. Chatters. She is wonderful. She has excellent staff, as well. They know how to treat their patients. I made the mistake once to have my son's eyes checked from another company in Pickerington. I thought this  "other" place in Pickerington might have the facilities to help my son with putting contacts in. Well, that was a HUGE mistake on my part. I learned that not all eye care offices are the same. My son and I were treated horribly from the girls in that office in Pickerington eye care. They acted as though they were bored to teach my son how to put contacts in. He felt bad, as they were very unprofessional. So we went back to Dr. Chatters and her wonderful staff and are there to stay.

  • After my experience there I wrote a letter to the owner of the company and received a personal response. I saw others who were there at the same time I was being treated poorly. That got me more worked up than for myself. For me to remember that incident over a year is pretty bad. There was an elderly couple that had come in and they were both having trouble walking. One had a walker and the other was using a cane. They had just come from one doctor's office and were looking to have eye glasses made and it was basically to pick up the frame. What happened was that the receptionist was extremely rude with them and told them to go back to the doctor's office and get the prescription and bring it with them because they were supposed to have faxed over their prescription. She did not even take the trouble to look if it was on her fax machine. It could have been. One thing led to the other and I was talking to one of the employees there and found out that the receptionist was the wife of one of the owners, or one of the doctors there. It is called the nepotism type physicians. So I wrote a letter to the owner about what I saw and how I felt about it. I felt their business was really going to suffer by having that type of a person. I received a personal response saying that they would deal with it. But I can't say I was back in there since then. As for my overall experience with them, I had to go back there three times to get my eye glasses correct. I am happy that I did get my eye glasses but I was pretty dissatisfied. The doctor I dealt with was very knowledgeable and very friendly. That was the best part of it. The one person who helped me to pick up my frames was helpful and knowledgeable. The frames and lenses that I ordered were scratched twice when I picked them up. The third time I picked them up they were scratched and they were adjusting them. I had enough with them. It was pretty unpleasant. Their staff was very unfriendly. The optometrist was fantastic. As for communication, I had to show up to find that my lenses were there. They never called. The management was actually very good. They were responsive when I submitted my information about the things I had seen. They read the information, the customer comment card and responded to it with a personal response. I did not expect that. I will not use them in the future. It would not have been so bad. When I went back to pick up my glasses I was on crutches and I just had foot surgery and I had to go in three times.

  • He was absolutely fabulous but he is no longer in business. That is a shame because I don't know if there is a higher grade than what I could give him. He retired and sold his business but the optical business is still there. I have only gone there one time after he retired and was happy with the service that I got. They were pricey. I have two boys and they are always hitting each other in the face and we would pay a high p[rice for the glasses, but they would fix it at no charge if there were small damages. They were really great about that.

  • He probably gives the best customer service I have ever experienced from an Optometrist. It's a family business that is extremely friendly. For the most part if you buy the glasses there, they offer free repairs as long as it's not too drastic. I have 2 teenage boys that I sometimes believe play baseball, hitting their glasses with bats. So I take frequent advantage of the fact that they give that great service, and it probably paid off. He's great with kids.

  • They were willing to work with me quite a bit trying different tractions to come up with the best one for me, which is what I appreciated. I haven’t had any trouble with trying to schedule appointments.

  • I mainly like them because of the location and also because they explain what they are doing when they are doing the exam. They use technology that my previous eye doctor did not have. They get us in quickly for appointments. Our glasses and contacts come back sooner than they say they will.

  • Last summer on 6/18/08 I went to our optometrist at Rinkov for a big problem with “ghosting/glare”. It’s bad enough that I’m not comfortable driving in the rain or at night. My doctor told me of a company named Zion which has had great success in correcting the problem. After my exam and much praise for Zion lenses I ordered a pair of lens which cost $613. I was told because the lenses are custom made; they would not be covered by insurance. In short, they didn’t work at all. Rinkov told me to give it time to let my eyes adjust. After several visits, over the past year, including returning my glasses to Zion to assure they were made correctly, no luck. My doctor then admitted he had one other man that didn’t have success with Zion. I offered to return the lenses and requested my money back. They said they were not responsible and would contact Zion for my money back. Zion said no. At this point, I don’t know who is responsible Rinkov or Zion. Had I known there was any chance they wouldn’t work or I couldn’t have gotten a refund, I would have never spent $613 on Zion lens. Rinkov has been very friendly and professional, however, I feel mislead. I have since relocated from Ohio to Virginia. Could you please help me get a refund?

  • Staff was very friendly and I didn't have to wait forever to be seen. Dr. Komraus was very friendly, professional and thorough. After the exam, I didn't feel pushed or obligated to purchase new glasses/contacts. Office seemed very clean and organized. Good selection of glasses on display.
