Basement Waterproofing reviews in Reynoldsburg

    Ohio Basement Authority
Ohio Basement Authority and their employees are great people. We had someone out to do work on our internet and when they got into the crawlspace they said there was standing water. Thus beginning our roller coaster ride to where we are now. I initially contact The Basement Doctor and had them do an estimate, their initial estimate came out to around $25k. Upon having their lead foreman out we were told the estimate was completely wrong and it would be about $10k more. Upon hearing that I did some research and found that The Basement Doctors price per "Pier" was about $800 above the midwest average. When their lead foreman scheduled to meet with us he was 45 minutes late. With an estimate of $32k and only a half encap for our crawlspace. Then comes Ohio Basement Authority. I saw them on another google review and gave them a call for an estimate. They sent out their sales representative Andrew who was on time and very forward and honest about what to expect. Their estimate came out to around $28k including a full encapsulation, sump pump (waterproofing) and a commercial grade dehumidifier. The crews showed up on time and started work. Ryan's crew was here first and answered any and all questions or requests I had without hesitation. They explained everything as they were doing and made sure we understood what to expect the property to look like post project and why. Jose's crew came in after Ryan's to do the waterproofing and encapsulation, they were courteous and efficient and did an amazing job. Both crews cleaned up very well. The crawlspace was clean enough I crawled around with my 3 year old after the epoxy vapors subsided. All in all, I would recommend anyone who needs to have foundation or waterproofing work done should give OBA a call and get an estimate, I can almost guarantee it'll be less expensive and an all around better experience than anyone else.

Work was done professionally and on time. Everything was clearly explained to me so that I understood what was being done and why it was needed. The foreman on the job was Richard P. He was very professional and courteous and took the time to explain (and show) everything to me. The team cleaned up the areas when they completed the work.

    The Basement Guys
Everything was explained and they arrived on time and got right to work.  The floor was covered with drop cloths going to the basement.  Dehumidifier was installed and explained and liner was put in and done very well.

This is not the first time Paul has done work for me. About 15-20 years ago, he placed beams for me in a different area than this.....way before Angie's list.  All those years ago...and I never forgot Paul and his crew. He is a no nonsense guy who will definitely give you an honest answer for your specific needs.  He means what he says and does what he says.... and promises to do. Hopefully, I won't need his services again, but definitely would use for the third time.  It is rare to find someone who tells it like it is and is trustworthy. You can put your trust into Paul and his crew.

His crew is friendly, professional and know their jobs very well....they perform to perfection like a well oiled machine.  Before starting , they protected my carpeting and hung plastic to protect adjoining areas. They will answer any questions, suggestions and will go the extra mile for you.  They do not leave you with any messes.  Clean-up is perfection....looks like a cleaning crew came as well.

My basement looks great and I am VERY happy with the results.

Thanks Paul....and a great big thanks to the entire crew!

e  The crew arrived at the scheduled time and began work right away.  They were able to bring the material into basement through a basement window, so there was minimal moving by the crew through the house to the basement .   They worked quickly and afterwards,  cleaned up  all of the debris that they made in the basement.  All of the work was completed within one work day.

Their people were excellent, knowledgable and efficient. Their work and workmanship was excellent. They did what really needed to be done without trying to sell me a load of things that i really did not need. I could not be happier with them or the results. They have made my basement a place I am now proud to use, it is now safe, the air quality and radon levels are within acceptable ranges, the humidity levels have drastically dropped and everything is dry.

Workmen arrived ontime and explained what they were doing. Made the repairs, cleaned up very nicely, and quickly. Six months later, we have no leaks. The job was done very professionally. The lifetime warranty is being transferred to a new owner as we have sold the house and I believe that the warranty on this work was a good selling point.

Overall satisfactory with the work that was performed.   The initial person no longer seemed to be of any concern after the deal was sealed.  When later contacted, response was not as quick as prior to and the personality was quite different.  Interesting comment made that the majority of the customers served were friends and were completely satisfied.  Left a wondering question:  are non-friends treated differently? Hmmm
David was very friendly, informative and appeared to be honest and have true customer empathy.
Did not like dealing with various individuals/personalities working on the project.  After work began and discussions with others, not quite comfortable feeling with suggested work that was recommended.
During initial meeting was very concerned with current/future water entrance/damage; sump pump concerns, crawl space issues, mold, mildew etc.  During the work, was informed that when sump pump was unplugged and plugged back in, it was damaged and required replacment.  When I asked why there was no indication of this prior to, during all questions/examinations, I was told, there was no way of knowing and that was not that individual's area of expertise.  My question is why was this person addressing it.  While that aspect was worked out, was quite surprised that the old sump pump was just left in the garage.
Although the result was amicably resolved, very discouraging with electrical disconnect of home security system and not being able to identify issue and correct initially.  Had to contact security provider and had to have re-routing and new connection. .
So far, satisfaction with crawl space, ceiling/dry wall and other insulation.  Have contacted about the epoxy on the basement walls because there are a couple of areas where damp/sticky spotting is present.  Also, inquired and requested the outside basement walls and the inside flooring application of the apoxy that was indicated during the initial consult; however, it never happened and then I was told there is not a guarantee that the application would prevent any water from getting in. Dry Basement and Waterproofing - then what was the purpose?

    Rogers Basement Waterproofing
I saw a little dampness on my basement walls and they let me know that it was completely normal. They said it would go away and it did. They were on time and honest. They did not try to sell me anything I did not need, which I really appreciated.

Work had originally been done in 1986 for previous home owner.  Work had a lifetime warranty.  Rogers basement and waterproofing were perfectly happy to honor their old 1986 warranty free of charge.  They spent a whole day working in the basement cutting up and removing old concrete.  They drilled basement drainage holes to relieve water pressure from outside and connected these holes to underfloor drainage pipes leading to sump pump.  They also rerouted sump pump to a new 2008 drainage system for $400 which was not covered by warranty.  Cleaned up afterwards.  System seems to work fine now.
