    Next day service! The tech was prompt, found which parts needed to be replaced and explained everything. Parts were ordered and the repair completed very quickly. Whole job was finished over a week before "the other guys" would even come and look at it!

    Sunshine Heating & Cooling LLC
     Installation went fine once they showed up - they canceled our original appointment at the last minute. The real problem began with a banking issue beyond our control - the vice president of our bank did not abide by our overdraft agreement....he bounced the check. As soon as we realized what he had done my husband called Sunshine to make it right. He was told by Dawn that the check would not be put through a second time. LIE. He then gave her his bankcard number and she charged his card for the original check amount of  $1089.16 plus an additional $75. These charges cleared - they now have their money. Sunshine has a third party check recovery service. You can't have this service and not know about it. Checxchange - on behalf of Sunshine - took $1139.16 from my husband's account - $1089.16 for the balance due on the furnace plus an additional $50.  When he called Sunshine, he actually spoke with the owner who put the responsibility of fixing this on Dawn. SHE DID NOTHING. She said after several calls to her and her boss that they would not receive that $1139.16 for 30 days, that it was held by a clearing house. LIE. We finally called Checxchange and were told that Sunshine received that money in 2 weeks via direct deposit. This was a month after they took the money. Sunshine had their money because the bank card cleared, they then had their recovery service steal $1139.16. They knew they had double dipped BUT DID NOT CARE. We called Dawn and told her she needed to give back the money that their recovery service stole. She said she would issue a refund to the bankcard - that was 10 days ago. WE STILL HAVE NO MONEY BACK. According to our bank a refund to the bankcard does not take 7-10 days which is what Dawn is claiming. We have been waiting for almost 2 months for Sunshine to take responsibility, to act like professionals.
    I am going to make one more call to our bank and then I will contact the local authorities to begin legal proceedings. 
    It is now March 14, and we still do not have our money back.  Our attorney has sent Sunshine a letter of demand, if they do not pay up by this Friday, we will be going to court. Will keep you posted!

    Sears Home Services

    My Significant Other and I purchased a dishwasher at Sears in the spring of 2014 and purchased a 3 year warranty at time of purchase. Sears also installed the dishwasher.

    The end of September, we noted the dishwasher was not drying dishes. I called Sears Home Services, the earliest they could send a repairman was October 5th. When he came, he diagnosed the problem and said he would order the needed part. Box was delivered with the part (heater element) to our house, we noted the box was not sealed.. 

    Next repairman appointment was October 14th. The repairman said there should have been a thermostat delivered, also. We assured him there was no thermostat in the box as delivered, even showed him the box and all the wrappings that had been inside It, and explained that the box had not been sealed when we received it . By phone he finally determined that the thermostat had not yet been delivered. (It came the next day)

    Next available repairman appointment was for October 19th. Sears Home Services called that day to say the repairman was sick. Earliest date I could reschedule for was October 23.

    At this point, we noticed water on the basement floor under the dishwasher. Our kitchen floors are hardwood, we noticed some warping of the floors. We contacted Sears Home Services by phone and asked that the leak be added to the next repairman's service order so he could address it while he was here

    A repairman arrived October 23. He seemed a bit upset with us because he said there should have been some nut-like pieces for the heater element delivered in the same box as the heater element. We explained the box had not been sealed when delivered. We showed him the box and the wrappings and repeatedly assured him we had not thrown any pieces out in error.  (The previous repairman who was here back on October 14th had looked at the heater element and not mentioned any nut-like pieces missing.) The repairman of October 23rd then  worked on fixing the dishwasher and seemed to be having difficulty. He seemed frustrated.  My significant other and I each reminded him that there was an issue with leakage also. I told him about it because I was did not want him to finish installing the heating element and the thermostat and then put everything back together before addressing the leak.  I was not in the room but somehow the repairman and my SO got into a verbal altercation about whether this repairman had any responsibility for fixing the leak. I sent my SO to another part of the house and apologized to the repairman. He remained upset. He decided to leave without completing the repair. I tried to find out from him what the status of the repair was (like how much was fixed, how much was not fixed). He would not give me a reply before he left. I remained courteous with him throughout.

    I managed to reach a supervisor (Ash) at Sears Home Services Customer Service (took half an hour on the phone to do that) that same day and explained the problem. He said nothing could be done until the repairman submitted his report and he had not yet done so. Told me to call back the next day, a Saturday.

    I phoned back on Saturday and after half an hour on the phone managed to reach another Supervisor (Abigail). She said yesterday's repairman had still not sent in his report/diagnosis. But she scheduled me for a repair call on October 29th, it was the first available. The repairman was to come between 10 AM and 2 PM.

    So today, October 29,  we waited until 1:30 PM. Stayed off the house phone totally so the line would be free for the repairman to phone to say when he was coming. At 1:30 PM I phoned Sears Home Services using my cell phone. They supposedly checked, told me the repairman was running late and would be here between 2:30 and 3:30.  At 3:30 I phoned again and got another customer service rep who put me on hold while he checked and then told me the repair person was still coming, I was "next on his list" .  At 5:30 I phoned and the customer service rep (I had a different one with each phone call) told me after he checked that the repairman had gone home sick. When I asked when, I was told "around noon."  I was told that the next available time anyone could come was November 7th.  I requested a supervisor, and the supervisor told me that Nov 7th was first available. I had no choice but to accept that time.

    The supervisor has promised that if an earlier appointment became available, I would be moved up.

    If I was not stuck with these people because of having a warranty, I would have found another repair service weeks ago. I have been without a dishwasher for over a month, and the "next available appointment" of November 7 is over a week away.

    Whatever happened to Sears?? We used to get such good service from them.
