Very professional, and the crew was amazing. We needed our siding replaced from wind damage. As soon as we called we were able to set up an appointment quickly for a quote and since then the whole process was seamless.

I have to begin by saying we are VERY happy with the way our home looks now.  We were not at all happy with the way this company performs it's daily operations.  We were met first by Bill, who is their salesman, and a very nice man.  He performs his job very well and is excellent at listening to your wants and needs and then turning them into a reality.  I knew I wanted to bump up our curb appeal, but I just couldn't picture what to do... Bill did all in his power to give us ideas, show them to us in drawings, and inform us of what it all would cost.  We felt confident since this company was top on Angie's List and Bill was professional and prompt that this remodel would go smoothly... Not the case.  Things started going awry when the scheduler called to let us know that there were 4 stages to this remodel and we would begin on July 15.  (she called the second week of June)  All materials had to be ordered and then the first step would be tearing off the porch railings and getting the pillars ready for stone.  On July 15, the carpenter, Derek, came out and accomplished in two days (thurs/fri) all the necessary porch demolition.  Derek is an excellent carpenter, by the way, and along with Bill, a star employee.  I assumed that Monday morning then, the crew would be out to start the siding or the stone... not so.  Actually, our project stalled for the next 3.5 weeks and no one called to inform us of why.  When I called to inquire, I was told that materials were on backorder, they were behind due to rain, and the siding had to be completed before the stone (even though we had been told the stone was to be installed first)  So our home sat there looking naked, and unloved for many weeks.  When we realized we were getting unsatisfactory information from their scheduler, I actually started calling Bill with my questions even though this was not his job.  He was happy to help every time I called.  After being told two different start dates that didn't happen, we finally got the crew here to begin.  They were primarily hispanic (siding guys) and on most days there didn't seem to be a foreman or a "go to" guy for me to speak with.  I think his name was Matt, but he didn't show up very often, or ever introduce himself.  The siding crew were very competent, but there was a break down of communication between Bill's ideas and what was actually being done at our property... After one Saturday workday, and a family member getting a flat tire from a siding nail, I insisted they clean up.  Matt and I were walking around the house and found an empty liquor bottle in a brown paper bag under our lilac bush... Matt insisted that it wasn't his crew implying that it was one of us?  Cleaning up each night was always a problem.. siding pieces, nails and McDonald's trash would be everywhere.  After I complained, things got better.
I work out of my home so I was there to see what went on or didn't go on.  I really felt as if I was an unpaid employee of theirs since communication was nonexistent and I would have to call on a regular basis to find out why they were not showing up and to let them know the laundry list of things that were still left to do.  When I would call the scheduler, she would listen to my concerns and say Chris ( their office manager) would get back to me, but it didn't happen most of the time.  The time came for the stonework to begin and they were subcontracted out from Hamilton Parker and were excellent!
In summary, if you want to be your own contractor and manage this company day in and day out during your project then this is the one for you.  I have to say, they gave us an extra Angie's List discount for our trouble and the owner, after I spoke with him on the final walk through, sent us a restaurant gift card as well.  We are very happy with the look of our home, just know it came with a price more than the actual dollar amount..

The crew from John Ross Roofing & Siding did an amazing job!  Not only were they on-time, professional, and courteous, but they were fast and made the siding on our house look fantastic.  In fact, the siding looks better than it ever has.  I would recommend John Ross Roofing & Siding to any of my friends and neighbors.

Chuck came by, gave me a price  to do the job and completed the job at that price. I liked Chuck because his material and price were outstanding. No high pressure sales. He is very meticulous with his work and had it completed when he said it would be.
Its nice to find someone that takes pride in there work.

I had another contractor working on the house and they worked well in coordinating schedules. The house is a good sized ranch, so the amount of soffit and fascia needed resulted in the high cost. The salesman was very responsive and helpful. The finished job is very good, however their clean up was not the best, leaving scraps of vinyl siding and nails in the landscape around the house and in the driveway. There were a few other issues that were resolved to my satisfaction. The first issue involved the workers coming up short with needed materials and leaving a large opening in the ceiling of a porch over the weekend that exposed it to unwelcome visitors (mice, bats, raccoons). I complained and they returned the following day with the needed materials and finished the work. The second issue involved a sub-contractor they hired to screen in a porch. Bud followed up with the sub-contractor and resolved the issue. I will file another report on that company (Patio Room Factory).

I found some issues, had them fixed & gave him final payment. Please understand that I'm not experienced in this area. After final payment I realized the shoddy work. This co cut corners every way possible. Siding came loose within days, roof ridge vents were too short & no opening had been cut for them. (I had another roofer check for me). Shingles weren't installed properly, some rotten wood was not replaced & some drip edges were missing. An electrical box was not secured properly to the house & needed repeated visits to fix. The porch awnings leaked & debris clean up was mediocre(nails weren't all picked up). One roofer even brought a 2-yr old child to the job site for the day & left him in his truck while working. My list goes on and on. Mr. Carter was defensive & rude. I had to request the intervention of my insurance agent to get the issues taken care of. This involved quite a few follow ups. I would never hire this co again nor would I recommend them.
